A tip for you: the system is designed for the cold weather bag to go into the lighter patrol bag. The lighter bag is larger, and the cold weather bag is meant to fit tighter around you similarly to a mummy bag. You will be warmer by orienting the system correctly.
if you want to get out of the system real quick, open it up enough so you can get both arms out, then stand up, let the system fall, then step out out of it. the same goes for any military bag and bivvy combo.
The temperture ratings are Survival Tempertures. For real comfort, you would go 10 degrees higher. Say 30 Degrees would actualy have a comfort level of 40-50 Degrees.
