    Why is the jeep wrangler Airbag light on in my jeep wrangler. It’s a very good possibility if your jeep wrangler airbag light is on it’s because of this .there can be no cost to fix it but I do recommend replacing the bad wiring harness with a new part. After making a video I did jump the wires to make sure it would work if I just wanted to jump the wires. And after doing so the airbag light went off.

    My airbag light only comes on pretty much after 30-35 mph but it goes away at lower speeds
    I checked the wiring under both front seats and they look good
    Went to Autozone and got no code back
    Maybe the tool they use doesn’t pull more codes like yours 🤔

    I have a 2015 Rubi that the previous owner had removed the rear seat. The SRS light is on. There's a two-pin connector under the passenger seat with nothing plugged into it (not yellow). I suspect the missing rear seat was supposed to be plugged into that, but I'm not sure. Is there a certain resistor that can be plugged into that connector to turn off the light since I don't have the seat?

      Very intuitive of you.
      If it’s not yellow it’s probably not anything to do with the airbag.
      I like your idea I’m certain that you are correct if you did have a sensor it was not working correctly and you wanted that since you’re not read that problem you would use a resistor.
      Whenever I’m trying to solve a resistor issue like you’re talking about I’m just about anything I just try different resistors until I get the one that I’m looking forward to do the thing that I want it to do.
      Like I said I doubt that was for anything to do airbag related because you already know it’s not yellow.
      When you try that type of resistor situation no matter what you’re doing on a vehicle it really can’t hurt anything that I’m aware of. At least I never have hurt anything. And if you think about it technically it should never heard anything because you’re not multiplying energy you’re decreasing it.
      Cool thought though. It’s not Joe’s baloney it’s somebody’s baloney in the background…… Hell you can’t believe anything you see nowadays I have no idea what’s fact or fiction…..

      You do understand that the seatbelt is a part of the airbag system? I guess not.

    Hey, my airbag light came on after a big rain storm and a bunch of water leaked in right down the b Pilar and the seat belt wiring harness got soaked. I can turn the light off by unclipping that first wire you show and clipping it back in. But after about a minute the light comes back on. Do you think the harness is fried because it was soaked by the rain? Any info would help!

      OK so the first thing you want to do is you want to take dielectric grease and put it inside the plug itself.
      Even if it gets wet that will make it to where it doesn’t affect the sensor.
      You should also check and make sure you don’t have some kind of massive leak
      But also you probably just have a defective sensor so it probably needs to be replaced. I can’t tell you what the ohms reading should be But I’m certain there’s a way to check the sensor and make sure it’s actually bad

    This is to fix the intermittent airbag light on the dash?

  • @OneworldKW

    Godd video, I replaced the airbag and I have no codes only the light on the dash. What can I do?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  3 года назад +1

      You’re going to need to use a higher level scanner to find out what is going on I would have to suspect that your scanner is not reading the codes correctly
      And I have in the past a couple of times seeing where for whatever reason the vin gets changed between the BCM ,ECM and the ABS control module. I’ve only seen that on jeeps like where a guy replaced the ABS control module and it worked fine but because it was not coded to one another.

    Where is the airbag module on the 2013 Jeep Wrangler location

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  5 лет назад

      Hi Jason I can’t tell you specifically where that is in that model but airbag modules are always located in the center of the vehicle so more than likely it is underneath the center consul that is so it does not get damaged in an accident hopes that’s helpful

  • @crankinozzer

    What scanner is that?
