I agree $300 for a rubber is just way off. Happy for you that you manage to get something quality and priced reasonable.

That's such a great look Mark. As gorgeous as a Rolex is on a bracelet, when you get to see the watch head shape really stand out on a rubber strap it just makes for a more focused point of view eh? Thanks for the tip on that brand, have never heard of them before. Love the captions during the B Roll 😂

Haha thanks Michael! Yeah that's a great point: you really appreciate the shape of the watch head on a strap, especially this one.

I’m perfectly happy to keep my bracelet on my Submariner 124060 but can vouch for the quality of Crafter Blue strap.
Recently bought a Crafter Blue strap for my custom Seiko SKX and the fit and quality for the price is excellent. I do wonder of the extra $$$ for the RubberB and Everest is worth it... seems excessive.
Putting on a rubber strap on the Sub gives it the Yachtmaster White Gold look without spending the extra cash.

Not my preference, but interesting video as usual.
I’d be interested to see your thoughts in a video on other bracelet options.
I think the president bracelet is underutilized in the Rolex lineup. Visually, I prefer it over a Jubilee and the hidden clasp adds to a clean look. I wish they would use it in the GMT or SkyDweller lineups.

Thanks man. Yeah that's not a bad idea, I'll add it to my list of video topics!

I agree the price of the Everest and RubberB bands are insane. Sounds like a great option for the price.

Yeah I've wanted a rubber strap for a while now, but I could never stomach that price. Especially when you can get handmade leather straps for around $100. 220 for a cut n paste rubber strap? No way José!

Great strap and review, although nothing beats the OG bracelet. Enjoy it!

Ahhh yes well, I won't be throwing away the bracelet anytime soon! Thanks man!

I got a crafter blue for a Tudor GMT because it had a better color way. It's cool but it has a strong rubber smell, which they told me boiling it in water helps. For your watch if you ask me, I'd get the rubberb as it's a 10k watch, 200-300 on a better strap is worth it and you can always sell the strap. Maybe try vanguard too.

Interesting, mine doesn't have any smell.
That's a fair point, and one that I've argued before: a luxury watch deserves a luxury strap. But when it comes down to actually parting with the money, I've got different convictions!

I appreciate the content. What are your thoughts on the strap now that it’s been a few months. I’ve owned rubber b and Everest. While I love the look, the integration at the end links is very rigid
and can be hit or miss. How’s the crafter blue?

Hey you know what? I'm glad you asked. I really should make a follow-up video about it.
Ok so ultimately, I broke through the rubber. How? Well, I was pulling at it kinda hard. But I'm my opinion, it should've held-up better than that. I wouldn't necessarily knock points off the product for that, but for me personally, I wearing straps that I know are practically indestructible, especially when they're holding a $10k watch to my wrist.
Other than that, I enjoyed the strap. It was soft and comfortable. I think in the future I'll buy an Everest one, because their buckle is amazing. It's square and kinda wraps down over the strap when it sits on your wrist (hard to explain but it's fantastic).

@@DrRolexPhD wow you broke through the rubber? Never had that happen on a rubber strap. Have you contacted Crafter Blue?

I’d love to find a brown strap for my two tone Rootbeer 😎. Best regards

I think Everest and Zealande have a wide range of colors, I'm sure SOMEONE'S gotta have that Rootbeer brown 🤎

Do you have a Rubber B or Everest? I don’t have any of these but if and when I ever get a call for my Sub/Date I want to put a rubber strap on it. Curious if you’ve done a side by side comparison. Thanks

I've tried them on at pre-owned dealers, but I've never owned an Everest or RubberB. Tbh, I don't like the way rubber straps hug the case anymore. For any straps - rubber, leather, canvas, anything - I'd rather it just be a traditional square end between the lugs, not a curved fitted end.

I really love how your self-denigrating humor also belittles a great many hours of stupid macro watch video uploaded to RUclips by others.
