Each strap gives the watch a different character. It shows that it’s such a versatile watch. My favourite was the nylon one.
With the nylon strap it is unlike any other Rolex out there, it is fantastic!

I often wear my 214270 on the same black Everest strap and actually prefer it to the Oyster. I was quite disappointed with the Everest Nylon strap because after a while the fibres seem to come away and the strap feels 'hairy'.
If the chocolate was Swiss your watch should be fine.
Black rubber was my favorite, followed closely by the leather.

Brilliant video as always and has become the highlight of my Saturday Morning. This week made even more special with a call from my AD to say they finally have a Black Bay 58 in for me.
It’s so comfortable and light wearing on the original bracelet that I would leave it as it it!
I bought this just last Wednesday for my combined birthday/graduation. I never really wanted a Rolex but the Explorer pulled me over the edge. Its a very versatile model which forms a very classy pair with my snowflake

Another good video LWC, thank you. My heart kinda skipped a beat, when you mentioned something happened... then I saw the thumbnail, thought for a second... and concluded that of course your watch survived that... easily. I have always been a sucker for a bracelet.
I have an explorer…and planning to get a black rubber Everest band. Thank you for showing how it looks like. I have seen your other videos and like them too…especially the one where you gave your good friend a great deal on a watch.

Never in doubt that the watch would survive such an incident, albeit still a heart racing experience 😅 For me,I loved the black rubber strap, perhaps due to my obsession with the colour black and how it goes with everything!

I think the leather strap has the best touch out of all three, but the rubber strap blends into the style of Explorer more, so I personally prefer rubber strap.

Every watch tells a story, be it when or why you got it, a scratch that you got during an adventure or even a replacement crystal. This has to be my favourite watch story! I think I recall you saying you will pass this watch down to your children, hopefully in the future they will remember this story and tell their children when they hand it down to them.
Definitely best on the bracelet. There something about the rolex bracelet that is stunning. Never considered this watch. After watching this video, I phoned the AD and on the list. This is not the first time this has happen. Watched one of your videos a while back and purchased a rolex from looking st your video.. love these videos. Thank you so much!!
Big fan of your videos. I would simply have to send it for a check after that in case the heat damaged the seals! OCD obviously but I’d have to know. Was wondering also if you could leave a link to some of the music you use in your videos? Tried Shazaming some but doesn’t show any results. Keep up the good work.
The nylon one looks awesome on the Explorer. The other 2 as well, but the nylon looks more beautiful on it. Love your content :) as always

I think the rubber strap suited the Sub better and i think the contrast with the leather strap makes the explorer pop great look and great content enjoy the weekend my friend 😀

It makes a nice contrast with the leather strap, however the black rubber beats it for a daily wear in my opinion

My order of preference is:
1. Rubber strap with Rolex clasp
2. Original metal strap
3. Nylon strap
4. Leather strap (reason being Explorer looks odd with Tan color strap).
Maybe you should try your Hulk or Kermit with this leather strap... It will give it entire new look...
P.S. Nylon strap also looks good but it is below rubber one as nylon strap doesn't have Rolex clasp... else both look awesome 👌
I tried a rubber b for my OP39 once. I enjoyed the novelty but eventually preferred the oyster link
Ive used Veraet watch spray to clean my watches for years and always been very happy with the product/results. Highly recommend it and will be interested to see if its one of the ones you have chosen to review yourself.
would you consider one of the Bark and Jack bracelets? or at least for a future review on them? Love your videos
Another one of your brilliant videos ! This one I keep watching as it is so satisfying !! I am a Professional Automotive Detailer, amongst other things. I work on some fantastic vehicles - the likes of Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari etc. In this ; or another video, you mention if your viewers use something else to clean watches ! I personally do what you do and then to finish up; add final touches , I use an automotive product called Optimum No Rinse, from the American brand - Optimum Polymer Technologies. It is a well known product among car detailing enthusiasts. It is a "rinseless-wash" solution that you add to water. I dilute it and put it in a spray bottle. Then I spray a little on a microfibre / spectacle glass cleaning cloth; wipe all over the watch and then a final dry wipe. It produces a fantastic finish, glossy shine look !! It prevents finger prints etc too ! Great to use at the end of the day ! Try it !!

Does anyone know the specific spring bar tool he uses to remove the bracelet from the watch? I haven't been able to find a good quality tool like his to use on my watches. I currently use the Bergeon 6767-F but I would find it so much easier using a tool that can pinch from both sides. Thanks!

The 1st strap ( nylon) is more in line with the black dial but the last is a warmer color which brings out a different character of the watch. I realy hope your watch is ok.Things like that could happen with children at home but I admire your calm reaction tot his unfortunate incident, especialy regarding the fact that this watch is your latest acquisition in your collection. I tried my explorer on a olaaf rubber bracelet, but didn’t like it, because the watch felt “cheap” ? I like the look of the nylon bracelet 👍. Thanks again for the video and the funny story. Have a good weekend!
What type and brand is the tweezer you used to remove your bracelet? I enjoy your content and passion for fine watches very much.
I personally did not like the color of the leather strap, it was too bright and conflicted with the darker color of the black dial. The nylon was by far my favorite. It has a classy look, but it's also more functional than the leather by being waterproof. That's especially good considering how this is a great everyday watch.

Ι feel that the Rolex Explorer I with this leather strap is indeed more of an Explorer watch. Amazing strap and color, id really beat this strap to give it a more vintage look as it has explored a lot.

Funny story and great to see some strap options, the more contoured case works better imo that the supper case when it comes to straps. I would keep it on the bracelet. I know you have a lot of bracelet watches so of the ones you picked I would do rubber. If I was going to do the leather it would be black with white stitching but all three look good.
If you didn't come across it check out wristclean in your review, does a great job of cleaning my watches. Used to use a gentle soap or diluted dish soap but this stuff is watch safe and works better.

Best cleaning tools : soft paint brush and some soap, been doing it since my first watch and causes no damage at all yet gives you the shine of a new watch

It's called Kapton Tape. He uses it in another video and briefly mentions the name.
