#Copart #Salvage #Duramax
Love when you say this is gonna be a short one and it goes 40+ minutes! So nice to see a Copart walk around again. I think the F-150 and the Duramax are good risks. Especially for the money. Happy New Year to you and Jessica! Glad to see you back!
It’s a Chevy of course it’s worth it
That diesel might be a diamond in the rough . I'd say for the right price that dirtymax is worth a chance . I bet it would make a good Content vehicle . Diesel's are always popular on RUclips
Buy that Duramax! Worth more than 1600 in parts
Glad to see you’re doing well. Got to love the e class
Great to see you here again Randy! Blessings
Feels so good to see you back Randy. Loved the new intro
Whoo glad to have these back! Looking for vans you can't go wrong with a grand caravan. I just picked one up from a church with 141k miles a rebuilt trans. Mountains of records. All for 1650. Only thing wrong is a dent in the tailgate.
Thanks Jess for helping Randy this week
Randy-I have a Saab 97x which is the exact same thing as a trailblazer. I have the same rust, “chunky stuff” on my trans dipstick. Thing shifts like a champ, I’d take a gamble depending on what it goes for.
That duramax is the best buy on that lot! It's also a lbz duramax.. please buy it. You wont be disappointed. Trust me.
Get the dirtymax/6.6 .... even if the truck didint start you can still make your money back .
All over that truck. Worth the risk
@@Cheeselandnews They want $6K
All depends on the miles on the motor and the how the injectors are. If the injectors are bad that 3500 to 4000 repair.
Good to see Jessica helping you out
The hissing on the Mariner is the brake booster. It is common on those, tributes and escapes of that era. They used cheap plastic seals that wore out quickly. You have to replace them or the whole booster. The part is cheap and the remains have rubber seals and last longer.
Randy @ 15:30 the 3.0 Vulcan engine was always durable and trouble-free. The 3.8 was the one that ate head gaskets like Skittles. The Vulcan is an iron block and heads pushrod motor that's archaic and simple, albeit underpowered. However it was sufficient to pull the Taurus and Sable around. Also, the Tempo, Probe, Ranger...... A miss here is probably a spark plug or fuel injector. I have 153K on my '06 Taurus and that's been the only mechanical issue.
On the trailblazer when the truck starts to idle rough when you turn the AC on the throttle body needs to be cleaned and it fixes the issue. I have a TB I bought a year ago with 231kmiles I bought from copart with the same amount of miles has 254k miles now. The transmission maybe bad. Mine went out at 240k you can't tell if they transmission is bad unless you try to drive over 45mph to get to higher gears
Some nice cars to choose from in this episode, and finally saw your wife first time lol had to hold the hood couldnt go anywhere😄
hood popper thingy majig ?
i love it when you use technical terms! lol
I'd definitely take the chance on the chevy diesel. Happy New Year Randy
Some great one's this time. Definitely the 05 f150, the Grand marquis and the Chevrolet desiel.
Old outro is the new intro? Noted... lol
That 05 is fine if it's a 4.6 engine. I have an 05 with 215k and it runs perfect. 5.4 is ok if it's been very well maintained. That gas door is a simple fix just the little metal spring in there
This truck has the 5.4 3V engine though. My uncle has that engine in his 06 Supercrew. It's been fine at 165K. He purchased it brand new
I’d do the phaser delete and drive the hell out of it
Sherburne Lee yeah I had a 05 ford that the hole body was beat to hell with 244k miles it would still start up smooth and still had ac it was a 4.6
@@waterzonegt9179 mine like I said has 215k and don't use or leak any oil at all. No rust either n I'm in PA in the rust belt.
@@engineer_alv must be well maintained for the 5.4 to last.
Hope you and the family have a better New year than the last. Glad you're healthy again. New Orleans recharged you.y you need to get the duramax
I chucked to myself when you called the 05 F-150 an oldie, I daily drive a 1991 f150!
Jessica has the patience of a saint, Randy! She's a keeper. I don't believe how much time you spent on those trucks in comparison to the beautiful Mercedes at the start of the video.
Randy, the wire you found on the trailblazer by the fuse block is extra, every one I've seen has one. I believe it has to do with adding something on the trailer hookup. Mine has never been connected. The trans dipstick is made of something that corrodes like mad with the trans fluid. My 04 has 299000 miles on it and I have to emery cloth it every year or so to knock the rust off it.
Saw more..those Sonatas had MANY recalls and electrical issues. The one in the fam was a turbo - now an 4dr F150 4X4 long bed 😀
Glad to see your getting better this look is much nicer than the old tired look you had before. Glad your back bud
You should buy several of these, best quality walk around to date!
That lbz running and driving is a 15k-20k truck depending on miles
welcome back and ready to rock and roll in the new year. I hope 2020 is a good one for you.
I believe that extra wire under the hood of the trailblazer has something to do with electric trailer brakes on the plug in the back.
Joseph Murphy you are correct.
I’m glad you’re back and feeling better Randy.
See y’all in 2020!
So many nice cars... but i do like the red f150...👍 also like the new auto auction rebuild video as you open the post.. very nice.. have a happy new year for 2020
The red flood truck would be a good risk, since you can find somebody else to take it on if it's too much for you to deal with. Pretty cool content will flow as well, so win/win. Happy NY man!
The Ford F150 the 05 one would be a good truck for you to have a trailer hooked on the tow hitch mount and tow cars around from copart to your house especially if the cars aren’t able to run and go as far to your house from the copart lot.. Amazing video as always Happy New Year Randy
The Durmax would be a good project fix it up clean it up on the inside and sell it or keep it as a work truck for yourself
Happy New Year! Wishing you well this coming year!
Those 2009 Mariners are good cars... Have a electronic power steering issue which was a PITA to deal with, and a throttle body recall ford will fix for FREE, after those two things are fixed they're awesome cars. I loved driving it on long trips, it was a perfect car for me and i'm sure for most people. Unfortunately my sister managed to roll it but amazingly she walked away unscathed. We owe that car everything for keeping her safe in a really rough accident. Oh and watch out for the passenger side rear wheelwell they tend to rust there.
Jessica dident hide very well .but glad to see her on your channel bud
Buy that Grand Marquis. Great car!!!! Bet it's gonna be cheap as hell if your the only one that caught that starter button
I loved my 2.8l Corsica. I'd smoke the tires off it. The car went through flood over doors and wouldn't die but guy never drained fluid so tranny finally died. Loved it lol
That Grand Marquee might be a keeper. Get rid of that hidden start button. Could be a good one.
Wow I didn't know that Grand Marquis had remote start in 98.😂
Tell Jessica she was on the camera already 😊
Great to see you back making this videos and happy new year to you
The fuel door on the F150 is a common problem on those trucks. Two people I work with have had that body style and have had that problem. One of the guys I work with went to RUclips and found out how to fix it. I wouldn't touch that Trailblazer. They are very notorious for engines and transmissions.
Go for the trucks! You need one for your new business.
Jessica is getting braver, good to see her appear on a vid 👍
The Chevy truck with the Allison would be an interesting buy. I think you can get that running no problem, but if not, the sale of the trans, and motor would be interesting to see. Fixed, that truck is 10 grand all day long.
Am glad that you back again to copart walk spree...
The Duramax is a steel even if you had to put five thousand bucks into it they bring around $15,000 where I live
I bought a 2005 Ford f150 lariat For 6k Thing runs like a dream Doing maintenance helps Keep Them running
Duramax may be worth the risk. No signs of water in the intake air filter, I'd take a swing. Happy new year; hi, Jessica. Glad to see you're more comfortable on camera. be yourself, do what you're comfortable with.
Good to see you back in good health and optimistic spirits Randy! A good choice of potential purchases this week, with most of them capable of providing great content. Sonata and Mariner are good choices. The F150 would also be a practical choice for your new dealership, you're definitely gonna need something to tow and shop with. Happy New Year to you and Jessica!
That sable ..the ford v6 in it I believe is the same one in the mini vans I've seen a lot with head gaskets and cracked heads.
Mini vans had the 3.8 and 4.2 Sable is 3.0 best V6 ford made
The 3.8 was notorious for Head gasket issues, however the 3.0 Vulcan V6 was very reliable. These were iron block + iron head pushrod engines after all
Nice to see you Randy. its been a while and happy you are sound in Health... Cheers!
"You know how the Chevys dont hold up over time " you say on a 10 year old plus trailblazer with 231k. Move a wire that was incorrectly attached for the starter and it fires up and runs smoothly. 2 mins later, diamond in the rough...listen to how smooth it runs.
I ran my Saab 97x with that 6 cyl to 260k. Ran great till my daughter rolled it on the interstate. Those trailblazers are great
David, I completely agree. Also almost any car can be reliable if taken care of. In this case, it has over 200k on it. I feel this one was pretty well maintained.
Perhaps you can get the Mercury cheap since no one knows how to start it?
Gm should go back and look at their trailblazers, they’ll learn a lot about how to make a damn good vehicle again.
04 blue trailblazer is twin to mine. Mine gets a lot of crap on the transmission dipstick it made me think the transmission was bad but it wasn't
Hey Randy. That red 05 F-150 looks like a decent bet. The red duramax would be a good gamble if it goes cheap enough.
Starter Button.
A number of years ago, there was a bunch of scammers who rigged cars up to sell a "Clean Spark" device that was suppose to improve gas mileage.
They would demonstrate the device at swap meets and such.
The hidden starter button was the key to show the device worked.
Eventually the gang was caught and sent to prison.
It was mostly in California. I'm surprised it made it to Oklahoma.
Gotta go for that Duramax @ $1600 !
I instantly thought of Mr. Regular because he recently put out a video on the Mariner. It was older but had the same color.
My sister had a 2000 Grand Marquis that she got for 200$. Needed a new front end. Then after it was fixed she decided to trade for a 1990 d150 that needed lots of work. Love the grand Marquis and crown vics
I would get the Grand Maquis I had a 1988 LS model brought for 350.00 in 2007 and drove it for 9 years sold it for 700.00. I also had a 1987 2 Door LS model paid 50.00 for it drove it 3 years as well. These are simple cars and parts are cheap for the Panther platform. 1996-2011 parts are interchangeable. 1979-1991 panthers are the same way.
All the best to you and yours Randy, for a very healthy and happy 2020, from the UK. :) That's extended to all, on the comments too. :) Ps. I want a 'supernatural' rev counter from the Trailblazer for truck! Hahahahaha!
Had an 04 TB myself with high mileage - always reliable, only had problems in two areas: fan clutch would only last about 75K, it was totally different from any other GM fan clutch, and the blend door actuator would go from time to time, but that was a cheap and easy part.
The F150 looks nice there a Channel which a Guy all he does is work on Ford Trucks Seen how to fix the Gas Cap and something about those cam fazer for that Engine Repair too . Great source of information . You need to due more Videos With Monkey Wrench Mike and Weird Beard . With everyone Knowledge rebuild some great Vehicles and dependable once too.
the mariner has the 3.0 those engines are bulletproof. 183k isnt bad i have a 07 awd 3.0 with 171k and it runs like a top. easy to work on too.. i have seen them with 300k with very few issues.
The hiss is a brake booster leak so it seems, the little rubber bushing is probably bad, dried out, ripped etc.
That F150 4x4 for
Agreed. It only needs a door and a tire. The rear bumper can be fixed and if Randy decides to flip it he could easily get 3500 for it
Hey Randy to you and your family have a happy New Year. Can't wait to see what you do this next year !
Randy copart will only let you in the lot for a few mins to look at three cars at most .lol
Randy I do not want to ask for much but I really want to see some nissans on the channel pls
One thing you have to watch out for at Copart is there are folks that harvest modules when they are supposed to be just checking out the vehicles like you. They run and drive when they come in, no so good when leaving.
Chevy Beretta my mom had a red one as i was kid stepdad ended up buying it tinted the windows n put a mean system with some chrome Wal-Mart spinners lol good ol early 2000s
Be nice to see you buy something and get it running and sold
Happy New Year Randy to you and your family! May all your wishes comes true!
Get the dirtymax, it’s only $1600 and it’ll probably run just fine, it’s nice and you should really buy it
Buy the F150; pull the driver's door and hammer the tear flat, maybe bondo it. Mercury has a leak in the brake booster.
the outro screen being the intro threw me off, i thought my computer glitched and went to the end of the video or something hahaha

That 3.0 Vulcan in the Sable wasn't known for head gasket trouble. That was the 3.8. These Vulcans are pretty tough little motors.
Walk Arounds are back! Yaay!
The Vulcan V6's in those Mercury Sable's and Ford Taurus' did NOT have head gasket issues. They were slow as shit but they never had any major defects. Even the optional Duratec V6's in these aren't known for head gaskets. Only the 3.8's in the old 80's and early 90's versions had head gasket issues. That Sable 99% just needs a coil.
On the Duramax the emblems say it is an LT model. I thought all LT trucks had leather seats. I have a 2003 like that one, and the leather was standard. It looks like a good deal.
Grand marquis very reliable even tho ima Chevy guy my cousin had one I’m sure they don’t sell easy because they look more for older people and kinda like a police car that’s my guess
The Sable probably has bad exhaust valve seats, I'm willing to bet at least one or more cylinders has low compression. You notice it the most at idle but driving down the road it should drive fine, those Vulcans of that year range had that issue, I think there was even a TSB for them. My 03 Ranger has that motor and had that same problem when I first got it, ended up replacing both the heads with remans, has run great since.
The 3.0l v6 in the Mercury sable has coolant pipes in the intake manifold and when the gasket fails it leaks coolant when it's hot. Kinda PIA job to do but parts are cheap. Head gaskets seldom go on those cars
just bought a 2011 bmw 550i 6 speed manual from copart ! clean title
Fluid and filter change be just fine
Randy those A pillars on the CC are replaceable. They're actually kind of like thin metal trim pieces.
Glad to see you are feeling better another great vid keep up the great work.
Hey you are sounding alot better
Happy new year Randy and family
I love those old Grand Marquis it's it probably got air intake manifold problem they crack and they leak antifreeze that's a easy fix
Mercury sable ?
So happy to see this form you . Happy New Year for the family
I'd buy the Grand Marquis. It's likely an old man car and he didn't want to pay to have a new ignition switch put in it. That's exactly how my late Father would have fixed it if it was a $300 repair at the dealer. He'd say "I can fix that with a $10 starter button". They may be hard to sell but those Panther Platform based cars are super reliable and will go 200,000 miles.
Matt Vermont I had an 03 and now an 08. Both cars were great. Got 27 mpg on the road.
While that may be true, why wouldn't they put it inside the car instead of under the hood?
happy new year I'm glad your back
