I agree with the information you presented. I would add that as an advantage for the 1911 is that it is very slim, easy to hide and they feel like a glove in the hand. Personally a thin gun is more comfortable and easier to control than a wide gripped pistol. But you are limited to 8 or 9 rounds IN the 1911. Quick to reload though. Thanks! I relate to you because I stick with 45 auto in every type of pistol I buy.
@christophermead9800 If you are unfortunate enough to get into a gunfight its doubtful that you will need the reload in a five second gunfight but carry the reload anyway just in case.
My main favorite pistol will always be the 1911 just that my favorite 1911 is chambered in 9mm😎 but i want to get one in the 1911 main caliber 45acp soon hopefully a colt too i kind of have an idea how itll be i have a colt double eagle in 45acp my favorite double action pistol
@@TerryBenton ohh once you have one you will like it. the action is really smooth not as smooth as your Wilson Combat or caspian but it does feel nice and its not super heavy i just didn’t really like the feel of the original plastic grips so i ordered wood grips on ebay in color rosewood and it feels much better in the hand knowing your weapon choices and knowledge im sure you will really like it its basically my 2nd favorite pistol after the 1911
Out of the four examples here, all but two (in my opinion), are two large and heavy, for concealed carry. Out of the two left, one holds five rounds, the other holds 10+1. Something I never ever hear mentioned about shooting a revolver is that if you fire a shot, and then manually cock the hammer, then decide not to fire and decock the hammer, then you have a spent cartridge out of sequence with the unfired cartridges. And yes, it's a thing. You now have a Russian roulette pistol. I'll take the Glock 30s every day. I have many Glocks including this one, and including a 30 year old Glock 21 LE issue trade in, that has had tens of thousands of rounds fired through it, and all are 100% reliable. Good video brother!
Very good point about the revolver. Most people do not use the single action feature in self defense situations. I do agree with you fully. Thanks for watching
@rickykurtz516 i think you mean for people who have good aim...semi autos are for people who think they need 30 rounds in a self defense situation 😂😂😂
@@sparky_-mf2cs Exactly. Don't know why folks act like they are going to war in a five second gunfight with all that capacity they won't need or use. A reload should be plenty just in case of multiple threats. Accurate fire under stress is more important than capacity especially with a lawyer attached to every round.
I just got a TISAS US ARMY 1911 A1 my first 1911 and think I made a good choice. I didn’t want to spend 1,000$ on a 1911. I’ve heard nothing but good things about tisas so I guess we shall see
I’m usually bound on getting a 1911 or a beretta. I’m not sure how quick it will be to draw out a beretta since I do think it has one more safety tip to fire it in a situation. Then I found revolvers, I do like the snub carries even though people hate it, which I don’t understand. A 38 special is ideal in a revolver but I do like the 45 colts, I’d like to find those too. I do think though that 357 magnums can also shoot 38 specials, which is 2 calibers to have in one gun haha
If I can get away with hiding it on my body I will pick a small/J frame revolver over a sub compact or micro compact auto. Safer to carry, more reliable, better trigger, and easy to operate. I shoot autos well but shoot revolvers better. I do carry both autos and revolvers. Different clothing and situations. Capacity does not matter in a five second gunfight for the average person not living in gangland high crime area. Its over before getting through a mag or cylinder let alone have time to reload. But we do carry reloads just in case of that less than one percent chance of multiple threats and a longer gunfight not staking our lives on averages.
My primary preference is always a Revolver. My second choice is 1911’s. Great video Terry 😊
Revolvers are 100 percent reliable. Thanks for watching
Revolver rules 💯
I like revolvers alot

Like all of them except the revolver. My favorite is of course the 1911 in .45 ACP

The revolver is a good choice for certain people. Thanks man

This is such a smart idea for a vid with the wisest traditional base choices! You’re such an exceptional Cult Classic Type Caliber Channel !😂

Probably for most, the glock. Cuz its lighter and simpler. Id take the sig all day long but i know id never carry it reliably.
You can carry anything reliable if you practice and learn the weapon
How about one of each?
Yes!! I agree
