The feeling is cautiously optimistic.
As a Miami fan I'm excited more than I've been in years, but I'm not expecting a natty. I want us to be competitive at the end of the year and not give games away.
Playoffs or bust. With what we have if we don’t make noise this year….when?
Well stated….ditto 👍
Homie you’re like 6 months from getting crushed by Rutgers, you better pray.
as a long time canes fan.. just compete and win 9+ games. thats all i ask. bar is low.
Yep
We feel great 👍 🙌🙌🙌
That was the best truth statement about Miami I’ve heard in a long time you were spot on and nailed it. Love watching your show keep up the great work JP. Go Canes
Heya Josh! Miami is gonna make it this season! This year we have enough depth to stay consistent for 60 minutes & for 12 games plus 3. 🙌
Josh MIAMI will always will have love for you 🙌🏾 GO CANES!
Honestly, the last time I felt this way was in 2000 when my wife and flew from SoCal to Miami for the FSU game (all time classic). Wife said why we going?..the U has lost 5 in a row. I said because it’s happening. I’m not saying we are winning the NC, but the U is going to the playoffs and we’re going to upset some cocky SEC team. It’s happening.
I was there too. 10 rows up on the 20 yard line. Do you electricity was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Definitely one of the highlights of my life.
Nice! Most intense game I’ve been to.
We are feeling dangerous Josh! Dangerous!!
Us Canes fans are excited for the Pate State “No Saturdays Off” Tour in 2024
Canes will be state and acc champions this year 🌀 🙌
LOL
JP as usual nailed it.
As a Vol fan since the early 80s when my dad had the game on TV with the volume all the down but every radio on max volume blasting the goat Mr John Ward. We were a top program until, well you know but the past doesn't ever trump the present.
GO VOLS!
-Why 2024 is going to be different ...this will be year 3 of the reinvestment on the football team versus 20 years of fleecing the program (Donna Shala 2001-2015) + a couple more years to right the ship. From recruiting budget (best two composite classes ever), training table, team facilities and money to keep assistant coaches etc. When was the last time they had both coordinators come back?
-When Mario got hired Larry Bluestein said the roster was terrible and he was proven correct with the need for a total turnover via recruiting and portal. Mario has done it correctly focusing from the inside out on both offense and defense.
-The program metamorphosis is complete, 2024 results will follow.
**remaining question mark did Mario look in the mirror and decide to get sideline help during games
Truth! If Mario took care of that last one I think we good.
Last one is who driven we will see
Great work Josh!!!!!!!!!!
We're feeling very optimistic Josh. It's all about the U!
This is Miami's year.
Great take Josh. Well said!
I'm really excited Go Canes
Can't wait for people to get mad over the fact he did a Miami video
Great RUclips video Josh!!!!!!! Goooooooooo Canes!!!!!!!!
Lets go Canes baby!!
CANES NATION LETS FREAKIN GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goooooooo Canes!!!!!!
Gooooooooooo Canes!!!!!!!!
I think Miami still needs to win the ACC to make the playoffs.
Even if Miami goes 11-2, I could see a 9-3 Bama or Michigan getting picked over them
depends how those losses happen and who those wins are against. but its a fair point
I wouldn’t be surprised. Like what some people say about ACC officiating, they just need to put themselves in a position where it’s not up for debate whether they should get in or not.
💯🧡💚
Professionally, I can’t stand Mario Cristobal.
Despite being an alum, and SC diehard, I grew up watching Miami being THAT team. The team that beat the living hell out of everyone else.
Their schedule is a cakewalk. He’s sitting on loads of NIL resources, and talent.
Anything less than 10-11 wins, with an ACC title appearance - considering the level of talent he possesses - could very well be one of the biggest busts in CFB history.
I hate it for Miami because it’s such a storied program, that’s been outrageously neglected for 20+ years. How can you not succeed with what Cristobal has?
“Enough ppl in positions of power accepted mediocracy” 🎯🎯🎯
The ACC knows we’re the best team the only reason we are third .favorite to win the conference is people want to see us win first
Miami gonna run the table Guys 12 and 0 ! ! ! 💯💯 Straight Ballin BadAss this year ✌️✌️Go Canes
Miami Fan here. This is the best roster we had since 2004,better than that 2017 Team, but I just don't trust CMC game day coaching smh
Pound for pound this is the most talented team in the ACC. Hopefully Cristobal doesn’t screw it up
Look the way I’m looking at it is Miami has back loaded talent by recruiting and stacking classes. Then they go out and put all their chips in on the transfer portal for NOW/Today. The young pups will get their play time like when Miami use to do it… have a big lead into the third and take out the starters. We needed this to happen so the cycle of mediocre can be squashed . Bring in leaders and upper class men so they can show the way.. this is how culture is changed and this is how the canes did it before.
Until I see us announce ourselves as a powerhouse again which means win games and beat the brakes off folks I’m not going to be happy about anything. It takes what the boys did back in the early 2000’s, 90’s, and 80’s. We’re not gonna be nothing more than how people see us now which is a joke honestly. It takes hard work and dedication. Until then I’m done dreaming and talking smack. GO CANES.
Thanks God we dont hear anymore the "we are going to win the NC" as we were hearing through 20 very mediocre years, but I think a good deal of customers, after the recruiting and portal hoopla, are expecting a 10 win season and no more silly loses. Kind of "show me the money" Mario and Co.
🙌🏾
No more talk time to leave teams inside that WHITE CHALK ! 187 to the ops.
This is the year or else… no more excuses. I am sick of the last 22 years worth of results
Sweating in advance? Josh to Gainesville week 1 confirmed? (You know you want to go to a campus week 1, not Mercedes Benz Stadium)
10 games or bust
It's not hard to out talent everybody in the ACC minus FSU and Clemson. It's shocking they haven't been able to for all these years. And they usually only play one of those 2 each year.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
As long as Mario has an assistant coach who can count to 40 and tell him when it's time to take a knee, they'll be fine.
Josh, Miami fans have not been satisfied with the mediocrity from 19 of the past 20 years. The lack of home attendance tells you that. Dissatisfied Miami fans let you know they're not happy by using their wallets. After the transfer portal acquisitions, I think Miami fan's 2024 win expectations have moved from a skeptical "Show me 10+ wins" to a "You better show me 10+ wins."
Just win ✌️✌️✌️
Show me the money
ACC is too tough for the Canes
Thanks for helping youtubes algorithm spread miami love lol😂😂😂😂
I’m quietly optimistic about our chances this year given the roster turnover and the fact we have a legit qb which we haven’t had in many moons. The question still looms can Mario stay out of his own way
mario has proven to be a below average game manager. his situational awareness will only be as good as his coordinators. we need coordinators that want to be great.
This is Miami's last chance to win the ACC while the big dawgs are still in the conference
Well I can't wait to see how Bama does without sabben and I also have mo winning it all and another let down for ga
Mario got to go
Miami didn’t spend money for over 20 years and you get what you pay for. Radovich was bought out of his contract because he knows what it’s like to win championships. Mario was bought out of his contract because he knows what it takes to win. Miami is a top 5 program in NIL and a top 10 spending football program & it will pay off in the long run. Look at the top programs and Miami wasn’t even close to the money spent. Miami had 3 recruiters when Mario came & he had 12 at Oregon big difference in 💰. Miami was the last ACC program to get an indoor practice facility. Enough said.
10-11 wins
Canes fans are full of kool-aid hype.
We haven’t proven much in quite some time but lots of people who are close to the program are saying very good things about this team, players and coaches alike. 20 year chip on their shoulder, it’s time to beat down our rivals and take over the conference. We need no less than 10 wins otherwise there’s a serious problem you don’t have to argue that hard for a 11-1 even 12-0 with a conference title win
If UM fanbase was a drink it would be a Zima.
Guess that makes you Crystal Light
@@damotivewasmoney8648 I guess if Crystal Lite fans pack out their stadium with 90k screaming fans every single week in rain or shine or even a bad season. But UM fans are a paper tiger fanbase that yaps like a rabid lapdog online while only 2K show up at their rent-a-stadium. Though it’s probably difficult for the majority of their non-alum fans to make the trek from NJ. 💯 zima bois
@ufmwc hands down the lamest insult I've heard. So good job at doing a poor job lmao
@@stephenhill1131 Actually it’s hands down the the most honest assessment. Literally the most sidewalk fans in all of CFB. Go polish your gold chains..
@@ufmwcyou mad because we can afford gold chains little fella lmao
With the ridiculous amount of money their NIL throws around, I would expect them to at accept nothing less than the ACC title
How much more money do the fans need to donate to make the canes great again?
Despite all the off season moves and investment, Miami will STILL go 8-4 next season.
Would still be an improvement
Yes that’s true and it’s a good thing, I like Mario and what he is doing at Miami. I’m just giving my opinion on what I think they will do this season.
👞☕️💰🏝️🌀🙌🏼😎
A lot of talent, but Mario is still there. 8-4 most likely 7-5 which would be really bad for a very very easy schedule.
I agree, dude. It sort of pisses off to see Mario waste so much talent, when other P5 coaches could go in there and win big.
No excuses for Cristobal. 10-11 win season with an ACC title appearance, or bust. Way too talented of a team, and he’s notorious for botching such things. He’s got a cakewalk of a schedule. I wish my team played it.
What do you mean, waste so much talent. He literally brought all the talent into the program. Last year they were a quarterback mental breakdown away from a 9-10 win season as it was. How can he have wasted the talent on this team when they haven’t even played yet.
@@tlobrill1 Yeah, I’m making a bit of an assumption, because you’re right, regarding his stint with Miami.
However, we’ve all seen this story play before, at Oregon.
Mario is notorious for squandering leads, and talent. I don’t know what the problem is. This year, it’s boom or bust.
Hope this makes more sense.
@@Andrew-mp9hu well, he did have 10 win seasons at Oregon and went into OSU and won there. Some of his losses were to Utah that is a legit team. He seems to get a level of criticism other coaches don’t receive and zero credit for the wins he does have.
@@tlobrill1 Fair enough man. You have a good point there. I do want to be clear, and make sure that my comments are strictly business, as I’m sure MC is a great man and only wants the best.
Keep in mind, dude, I’m a Gamecock alum, and I really don’t have much room to talk about bad football lol.
Miami should dog walk Florida week 1.
😂😂😂😂
The mood amongst Miami fan base is delulu as usual
The mood amongst Miami haters is disdain as usual
GO CANES
So you disagree with everything Josh just said? Because he was pretty spot on. Even with Cam ward. Most of the fan base can best be described as cautiously optimistic. We actually agree with the general public of. “Well believe it when we see it”
@@tlobrill1 you don’t know what big 3 twitter is do you? Lmao
@@justwatchinthis1 who’s a hater? Lmao
@@ppearson35N nah. I’m not on Twitter. You think one account speaks for all Miami fans. I sub to the 247 Miami message board and much of of those folks are cautiously optimistic. Although we agree the talent level is a 10 win team or better. Thats undeniable
Moods high many.places at start of season but by mid to.laye season they are suicidal. Face it Miami is done have been since 92 ass whippin by bama and has never sniffed top 5 at urs end since. U. Is for Used up
