Cristobal was the best thing to happen at fiu, and he has a 73% win rate at Oregon where he won two conference titles w an AP top 4 finish. He has better talent and resources and than he’s ever had with solid position coaches. Y’all trolls are trying to cope just bc he didn’t go 8-4 in his first two years. Rebuilding takes time and he’s doing everything he needs to do. I’ll just say rn they’re not losing to teams like Syracuse or Duke, and Florida doesn’t stand much of a chance honestly. FSU will be lucky to win one of two games against Miami and it wouldn’t be the title game. Only teams I really have concerns about are Louisville and vt sneaks in there.
RE: FIU. Well, if you're team previously had zero wins, sure, a few wins is seen as "the best thing ever." As for his stint at Oregon. It actually didn't equal what his predecessors accomplished . Oregon was already a successful program before he got there. Chip Kelly had 4 straight BCS bowl appearances, and played for 2 national titles. Helfrich went 15-0 in 2014, played for a national championship. Mario never got to the playoffs, and his last year, he got blown out TWICE by Utah. So are his Pac 10 titles because, or despite him? Also, his ACC record is actually worse than Manny Diaz' first 2 seasons .
Miami is probably the biggest question in the whole country. All they have to do is win…they have all tools to win now. And to sustain with the recruiting they continue to produce.
If they win big this season it can spring board them into the tier one status. All they need to do

I DON’T CARE how talented they are on paper, last 2 years under Mario Cristobal, they played well under their expectations. The talent is there, as always and despite the 20/20 nit picking of the players Miami signed, UM has consistently been among the highest rated recruiting classes in the ACC. Mario has been a disaster. 1-5 v ranked (TAMU only win), 10th in the ACC last season (tied for 9th but count the teams), of the 7 wins, Miami of Ohio, BCC & Temple. GT was a 19.5 point underdog and they were beating us in the 4th BEFORE we took the lead and rest is history. That is 4 wins against Power 4 teams. Show up against UF. We're in NO position to talk shit to any fanbase.
I want Mario to succeed I do but the more and more I think about it he probably won't I hope I'm wrong you get good coach's who can coach and can't recruit then you got great recruiters who can't coach then you have football coaches they do it all I'm pulling for you Mario

You guys are overselling fSU for 2024. Miami lost to FSU by 7 points at Doak with true freshman Emory Williams. In 2024, Miami will have a much more experienced QB in Cam Ward than than inexperienced true freshman Emory Williams in 2023. The game is in Miami. I can't understand why or how you're picking FSU to win. Miami will have a much better 2024 team than their 2023 squad. On paper, the 2024 FSU team is not close to their 2023 team, especially on offense. They lost 80% of their offensive production and replaced it with transfers with little to no experience. Those guys may have high ceilings, but they are unproven. You're literally picking a bunch of inexperienced FSU players over a Miami squad filled with proven experience in their 2-deep depth. For example, the FSU 2024 WR room had a combined total of 57 catches in 2023. That includes all the production of the 2024 transfers at their previous schools. 57 catches is the same number of catches as Miami WR Jacolby George. Miami has the ACC's #1 and #2 returning WRs for 2024 who were more productive than FSU's Wilson and Cole in 2023.
You can't just say FSU is going to be successful in 2024 because they were in 2023. They have too many unknowns.
What Mario Cristobal has at Miami is proven, successful, experienced players at every position either in house or through the portal. At an individual level, proven experience provides predictable success. The biggest reason Miami was 7-6 in 2023 was QB play. Specifically, turnovers by the QB. With all the hoopla about Mario not taking a knee against GT, what is lost is the 3 INTs by TVD. 2 in the redzone and 1 at Miami's own 25. That's a 13-21 point swing where Miami could/should have won by 21-28 points. TVD had 10 INTs and 2 fumbles in a 4 game stretch where Miami was 1-3. With half of those INTs eliminated, Miami wins 3 more games and finishes 10-3 worst case. That's the lense that Miami should be viewed.
With Cam Ward at QB, can Miami put it together as a team? TBD....

Stop. UM has finished the regular season undefeated 5 times. We can easily lose to UF, GT and VT. L'Ville and FSU will be favored. USF will be tough also.
