Will it even work at all? The was bought from a guy who bought this at an estate sale and knew nothing about this amp and was selling it as parts. Let's see what happens as I dial this amp up on my variac....Crusty and dusty but lets see what happens. Enjoy and please subscribe.

Thank you my friend, come to the US we can go amplifier hunting. Or better yet I'll come to you and do the same.

My drummer picked up one of these recently, and my other guitarist used it at our Canada Day gig this weekend, with an open back 2x12. I ran my late '64 Bandmaster and closed back 2x12, and we were relatively matched with my volume at 3.5, and his at 3 with the master full. Mic'ed, but barely up in the mains, and just a little of him in my monitor.
Great amps for outdoors, when they can turn up.

The more powerful amp (I have a '67 blackface drip-edge transitional "50 watt" - more likely less) sounds better, the bigger iron and more power tubes gives it a more solid sound even at low volumes. I recently got an AC15CH, and wish I'd gotten the AC30CH for that reason. Nice score man!

Thank you and yes you are right about the power of the amp and I've have the tendency to really like the more powerful amps when it seems the norm for most people is to stay in the 5 to 15 watt power range. I'm part of that by me is that I live in a house where I can actually turn my amps up and enjoy the sound of a more powerful amp.

    D. Ledford is a Fender stamp. This was either an assembler or QC person back in the day. Nice amp find. Congrats!

I recently found one of these with the original pyramid 4x12 cab.
It powers up and sounds great...for about 4 minutes. It gradually starts making odd crackling noises as it gets warm. In your experience, does this point to anything?

That could be some resistors or resistor that is going bad or is bad, I'm thinking the plate resistors for the power tubes or phase inverter.

That's next, first off just wanted to see if it worked. There will be a follow up with new filter caps etc. Then a good cleaning.
