    Yeah his best play in this game... I was watching the game on my TV and when i saw that guy running the court like a guard with the ball in his hands, running straight to the basket... That play was beautiful.

    Cleveland Clinic reports that he just had his MRI after surgery and is cleared for drills during practice playing one on one with coaches and then he will take another MRI in two weeks to play in contact full practices with the cavs. Coach Mike Brown is not saying when he will return but the doctors have told Powe and the cavs that he may return either before all star break or after, and the cleveland clinic has assured the cavs that powe is healing quickly and will be on the court.

    i'm sure you could agree with me that phil jackson is the most calm coach in the NBA, and even he was outraged at the lack of officiating in that game. even in the lakers vs spurs series the refs were horrible. it just so happens that the bad officiating was in lakers favor.
    I would actually prefer if the officiating was completely unbiased and straight down the middle, no special treatment for anyone. that would make me happy.

    For sure he will improve and probably be great... But if you look the way he dribble... There's still a lot to learn... He's not "so big guy" so i think he'll need to improve a lot on dribble and quick post play.
    Anyway he made a great game... Hope the Lakers will tie the series so we'll feel real challenge.
    Lakers - Celtics is a classic for NBA fans... Cheers from Italy

    Good point, Misterx2day... the first two things that come to mind is Kobe elbowing Vujacic on the bench, and then having the nerve to yell at Gasol for not cutting in fast enough on a 200 mph pass during the Finals... let's not get into the whole Shaq/Kobe ego-mania scandal. The Celtics are a true definition of a team. you can talk about the Big 3 all you want, but at the end of the day, everyone's contribution and teamwork got them the Gold trophy.

  • @ubercoolguy
    @ubercoolguy 16 лет назад

    The Refs helped Powe get into a groove, and they made sure he had that. All the fouls they called on the Lakers when Powe went in were never called for the Lakers when they themselves drove in, Game 2 was a joke

    Some of what you say is true. Bynum and Gasol are fantastic offensive big men. But what you are forgetting is that Perkins and Leon dominate defensively, which is why the Celtics won.

  • @exh6192

    celtics did there thing no doubt about that but i still felt that there were calls that lakers didnt get not saying that as a player you should expect the ref to bail you out but as a team we didnt get to the line as much as celtics......

  • @metalweapon
    @metalweapon 16 лет назад

    After watching that footage I feel the Lakers have no right to complain about free throw discrepancies. Powe was playing hard. When you play hard, you take hits. Refs will call them. Or at least they SHOULD.

  • @ramone2185

    that was like a 5 on 8 game (including the 3 refs). you bumped powe he got the call. you bump kobe/fisher/sasha/pau and dont get the call. i usually dont get mad at the refs when they miss a few calls but they didn't call anything at all for the lakers until the fourth quarter.

    Too bad this wont happen now that bynum is back. The Lakers had no interior defense after Bynum got hurt and Mihm has been unable to get worked back into the rotation after his ankle injury. I was shocked that the Jazz or Spurs failed to exploit this major weakness. Davis, Perkins and Powe simply exploited the biggest defensive weakness and took advantage of there being no Bynum around. Good luck getting away with that this year.

    The Celtics aren't going to be happy they refused to re-sign this guy. I know the fans weren't happy with the decision.
    Boston gave 2 mill to Marquis Daniels, while Cleveland signed Powe for 855k. And both of Boston's power forwards are already injured.
    Good work, Boston. Your terrible personnel decisions should pay off for Cleveland come playoff time.

    Sick performance... I don't know though, either Boston Celtics are not as good as I thought, or the Lakers are better than i thought. Game one Lakers were winning for the 3rd quarter and Game 2 they caught up almost 20 points in the final quarter... Plus Kobe was missing easy shots (for him) so Boston defense is not that amazing. Keep in mind that the both games were in Boston. I'm with Celtics but I hate Pierce so I'll root for Lakers.

    its not just the playoffs. He was a 2nd year player last year, and he showed his explosiveness starting in the playoffs.
    He averaged 20-10 in college before he had a knee injury. He can score.
    Bit my argument is he doesn't make the dumb fouls like perkins. Perk is tall and long, but he is so foul-prone, he's never on the court! After 5 years you have to know when to STFU and play
    Powe has 2 years experience, he has shown to be explosive, I just like him better. He's the better player

    Its a catch 22. Kobe is gonna dominate whether he play for the lakers or the grizzlies or in the EBC. If you let Lamar Scrotum run the team, they would never win a fuckin game. Everybody knows Kobe's work ethic, thats why he's the best. He Sasha or Luke tried to have an impact on the game the way Kobe does maybe Kobe wouldnt have to play 40+ min a game. Shaq rode his coattails just like he did D. Wade, and tryed to ride Steve Nash's.

    Shit,vaaggie, you'd yell at the refs too if you were getting hacked up and no calls. But I agree the Lakers have to adjust to the refs, not the other way around and be more aggressive like the Cs were. I guarantee the Celts will not have a 38- 10 free throw disparity in LA. Also, I expect KG and Pierce to show up and may be Cassell, if he plays. But the other Celts will be a non factor in game 3. i predict a LA win, but I'm not confident that the Lakers can win three in a row from the Cs.

  • @nekbeth
    @nekbeth 16 лет назад

    Leon Power deserve every freethrow he took because he was more agressive, he got offensive rebounds and was slap every single time. (the Faker team did not complain at the moment of the foul cause they knew they had foul him).
    STOP BITCHING AROUND FAKER BOYS cause BOSTON DEMANDS RESPECT either you like it or not.
    * And don't forget that non call 3 full step travel by Radmanovic all alone.. Worst call in nba history

  • @davewah3
    @davewah3 16 лет назад

    Bynum is not out right now. He strained his rotary cuff but has still been playing. I guess playing while injured makes him a pussy by your definition. Powe and Perkins are great, tough players, but they simply don't have the natural offensive ability to overcome Bynum. It's not like they're Tim Duncan or Shaq. They're Leon Powe and Sam Perkins... they are known for their defense mostly.
