Thank you much for this. I just ordered the funnel from Amazon. Since that funnel wasn't listed under your video I opened another window to do that. I've got a brand new Challenger that needs it's first oil change and my regular guy had never dealt with a Shaker hood and didn't know how to remove it. As soon as I get that funnel I'm going back and show him how to add the oil without removing the Shaker hood. Thank you, again
I use to link products to my amazon channel but found it easier to just like directly to amazon with no specific item.....that way I can get credit for any purchases made on any products. The funnels makes things alot easier and saves alot of time. Thanks for reaching out and make sure to subscribe.
David, I love all the pro tips & tricks that you provide. Knowing that we get correct info & answers to our questions is reassuring. My sincerest thanks.
Boss man I just finished watching all of your 5.7 Liter videos. Some time within the next 6 months to a year I plan on getting a challenger with the 5.7 in it. I look forward toy your future videos involving that engine. Great job as always. It's been great to watch your channel grow and get better with each video. Also, Where is that MontorCity Mechanic merch I've been waiting for!
Hey Nathan! I have been working with a company to make sure the shirts.....but to be honest they are slow as hell to reply back after each revision. Their prices are great and the only reason I try sticking with them even though I dont have any shirts yet. I am hoping in the near future for sure. Thanks for following the channel as well. The challenger is a sweet ride and the hemi is a great addition to it. I am actually a bit jealous lol.
Glad to see this works! Maybe I'll get a shaker hood, but I still don't think I would take this to anyone for an oil change. Its bad enough with challengers just hoping they don't mess up the service panel underneath.
NICE! Thank you for your expertise and a great vid. My new 2021 widebody scat with shaker arrives in approx ten days. Will purchase the funnel from the Amz link. Good job.
That seal around the shaker would be a pain in the ass to get it to align properly , those fasteners also round off easily I use a nut driver instead but I'll be picking up this funnel with your link bud thanks a lot
Appreciated that added info. Less to take off is less chance to damage anything and saves time. Thanks for watching and for adding that funnel to you tool box!
Sorry for the delay. There are a few other ones on amazon.....here is another version. If you decide to get it make sure to use the amazon link and type in Sealey Funnel with Fixed Offset Spout & Filter Medium. Here is the that link: amzn.to/2mALgqS
What a clever gadget! And what a silly way to have to add oil. This would have been horrible in the old days when a quart every month was fairly normal.
To do it typically a lot of items need to come off.......guess its part of the "looks before functionality" lol. Thanks for watching and for commenting. Make sure to subscribe.
XXX it’s not just the shaker scoop it’s an entire trim kit if you buy the real shaker. it’s also paying tribute to the original classic shaker. My vented seats, dash kit, steering wheel and spoiler all came from the factory with the shaker tags and trim already installed so it’s not just a cheap add on as some people seem to think. Not that you think that, just answering your question. Also love to watch the shaker rock when I take off or get into the gas.
Is this applicable on the 2019? tHE spoiler is a $600 option and it's not included with shaker package. If you don't order those extra options on 2019. Same goes with vented seats.
XXX I haven’t seen a shaker that didn’t have the spoiler already so I’m not sure but I customized mine. That’s why I said the real shaker package which they are already pretty much loaded and include those options. Otherwise it’s an RT with a shaker hood addition. There is a difference between the two
XXX ok cool . Like I said mine was custom built so I’m not sure. My point was you asked why not just get the other trim, I was just letting you know that the shaker trim is a full kit if you get the shaker package as opposed to just adding the shaker hood to another trim. Also the shaker and intake are both functional
Tatted_Tech_392 I think the potential for dust and debris to fall down in there is increased and that just means more buildup like around the spark plugs and other openings but if you clean it regularly I don’t think there is any major risk otherwise. I always blow those sockets with canned air before I open any engine components anyway
I always though the Shaker was functional. As a Challenger owner (nonShaker owner) thats pretty lame of Dodge. Thanks for posting for the Shaker owners out there.
Robert Sorry if there was any confusion but as you saw in the other video it's fully functional. Being that it's not sitting on top of a carb....it's hard to see the duct work that's involved that makes it functional. Appreciate the comment!
This video was Perfect 👍🏾
I went to get an oil change and no one at the shop knew how to reach the oil cap or remove the shaker 😂

Wow this was a lot of help. It was actually the answer i needed to get the oil change going. Thank you very much!

Sounds good man! No need to be jealous brother. You get to work on these things every day! that is sweet!
Nathan Steininger Work and play are two different things lol. Maybe one day.......
Good shortcut to know. Just bought a 2018 Scat Pack Shaker. Guess I better get busy and order that funnel.
Glad to see this works! Maybe I'll get a shaker hood, but I still don't think I would take this to anyone for an oil change. Its bad enough with challengers just hoping they don't mess up the service panel underneath.
Some times its best to do it yourself.....I fully agree.

Nice, new subscriber 2017 SP Shaker only. Was pissed I had to remove my Shaker, now I don't need to -this helps much!!!
Another perfect illustration David.
Please make more videos on the 300 C with the 5.7 hemi engine.
I will certainly keep it in mind Manny. Keep watching and I will keep making more videos.
Pharoah Monk lol!! Enjoy Brother and safe driving. I know I enjoy mine.
I will certainly try to keep making more. Thanks Pharoah!
Now that's a handy tip. I love the funnel for some things I need to get to.
For the price you cant go wrong. Thanks for checking the video out.

excellent as always!
Appreciate it Adam!
THIS FUNNEL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. ARE THERE ANY TOTHER SUBSTITUES THAT WORK JUST AS GOOD?

What kinda oil you guys use on 5.7L Rt
I stand corrected I just saw the inlet tube. :)
That’s a great idea unfortunately I went to Amazon and found it but they don’t have it in stock, hopefully they’ll get some more in.
WHY NOT JUST GET THE SCAT PACK CHALLENGER WITH THE TWO AIR VENT EXTRACTORS WITH THE MIDDLE SCOOP?

@@B5_Cerberus That spoiler when build and price it on Dodge website is $695 extra. The shaker package doesn't include that rear spoiler.

llwizzoll Thanks for the feedback!
Do you run the car without the half valve cover? I want to take mine off but I don't know the pros/cons of it.
