At 64 now...I go back in time ...to a place of my happy teenage years growing up in Venice california ....and listening to this my fav Robin Trower song...ahhhhh...😊
60+, don't want to die without seeing the greatest guitar player of mid 70's wherever in America.... USA, Brazil, Panama... Just say so... How about a transatlantic crucero in the inner of the sea
Mr. TROWER, Señor TROWER, for me you are the best skilled guitarist player from the 70's and up to date. I followed as a pro clean and neat performance artist since I heard Daydream, I was 14 years old and bewitched eversince. DAYDREAM instrumental has not comparison to. Sounds and tones simply perfection at the very most
Went to see them on this tour, Sheffield City Hall. I certainly was spellbound. Seen them since with Davey Pattison and whoever he had a few years ago, but nobody compared to Jimmy Dewar. One of the silkiest vocalists ever.
Thanks for the video. I keep coming back. Great performance. I remember Robin's first Live album coming out. This was the highlight for me. Tone, control, just absolutely gorgeous. Not just my favorite Trower song, one of my Desert Island songs
Jimmy Dewar vocalist & bass. While Jimmy Hendrix sang excuse me while I kiss the sky, Jimmy Dewar sings the flowers kiss the sky. Lotta sky kissin going on 😃
Am so lucky my parents have "Bridge of Sighs" and "For Earth Below" I haven't checked the Titles, I maybe wrong on the first titled album. These are such a power trio, James Dewar had a great blues voice.
Erin.. Just to set you straight Robin's first LP was called Twice Removed From Yesterday, then Bridge of Sighs & third For Earth Below. Everything else you got it Erin.
If Hendrix was still alive he would have wished he wrote this song. Trower Is my guitar God. I have never missed his shows and he blows me away every time. The only problem here is the song is Spell bound ,not Daydream which is an exhalent song.
Rich. Val here has it correct , Daydream not Spellbound. Start back at the beginning of this clip , you will hear Robin say the song title. You sure have the rest correct.
A real master. saw him twice..Hull Uni 75...Sheffield City Hall in 76/77?..In City Dreams was out but he hardly featured it...Dewar and Lordan were brilliant on both occasions btw.Trower knew feel and the space between notes..he knew how to create atmosphere...he really took those sounds and rhythms that Hendrix pioneered on Band of Gypsies..That first record is just wonderful....Bridge of Sighs just betters it..but only just..oh btw Reg Isadore is just wonderful on those two first records...lets hear it for Reg.
Thank god he was and is in my life to leason toi play a little too and he is so much inspiration I can feel what the lord wanted me to feel and glad to be. Anywhere involved with raben he is one of my blessings just shows me one more bit of proof there is a god aand proud to believe in my father people are almost scared to say they do well treat belongs to all of us because of the one that sent him like all the rest amen you
I'm pushing 70 myself. This is excellent 🎉❤

I'm just a year older than you, and this is my favorite song from him as well.

The master guitarist - and on a rosewood neck! Dewer sings beautifully.
Brings tears to my eyes. Old memorys forgotten and lost love
Memphis '77; Trower can tear it up and soul from Dewar; tops!
The sound of this footage is so amazing.
Absolutely perfect rendition.
Jimmy Dewar - fantastic as always.
One of the all time great guitarists of my life. Seen the original with Dewar several times. Trower still a legendary rock icon.

What a great band. It's all happening here. And no one rocks a bath robe at a gig like Jimmy Dewar.
Kurt Cobain?
@@zacknicley8150 I believe it was more of a old lady nightgown LOL
One of my favorite songs
No auto tune, backing track, or tricks. Just a lot of practice and talent.
So beautiful. This song holds some very special memories ❤
Daydream is a fine song 👏

A great guitarist, a great band, and a truly great vocalist. Because sometimes we forget that it's not Robin singing.
Great James Dewar singing! I don’t ever forget that!

Never thought it was Robin singing.
@@careful...Icarus - My head's often in the clouds, and for some unfathomable reason, for long enough, I thought Robin was doing the vocals.
Thanks for the video.
I keep coming back. Great performance.

Not just my favorite Trower song, one of my Desert Island songs
I saw them in 1977. It was awsome
i hear this in my dreams. now i know what a morning person is.
Saw Trower four times, same with Johnny Winter. Different styles, yet masters of their craft.
WOW!! Never seen/heard this version. My favorite song of all time. I was seventeen when this album dropped. Thanks for the upload.

It is actually called daydream

Jimi wrote "One Rainy Wish" which kind of has a similar feel.
I hope people can njoy this in the year 3000 and for ever on and on such a feeling ❤️🦋
Nice gritty vocals that pay homage to Paul Rogers and Joe Cocker, among other influences.
The latest singer is close but there's nothing like the original R.I.P James.
still such A clasic song
STRATOCASTER TONE!!!!!!!!!!
Rory Gallagher is in that mix as well....
The best guitar!!!🎸
Surprisingly great guitar playing from Nicko McBrain there’.

How about doing Jack and Jill. ?
James Dewar’s voice has never been surpassed since.
Thank god he was and is in my life to leason toi play a little too and he is so much inspiration I can feel what the lord wanted me to feel and glad to be. When I play Trower in car or house everyone asks “who is that singing”?
How I like to take my medicine.
What ever happened to Dewar? ..........
He died of a stroke in 2002, after suffering from a rare hereditary disorder. RIP James
