  • We recently purchased a 2021 Coleman 125cc ATV from our local tractor supply store, eager to see how this little quad would perform in the hands of some reckless teens. So far, first impressions are very good. We’ll be treating it nicely during the break-in period, and after that I’ll get y’all some top speed numbers and other updates. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a ripper!

    Did you ever figure out how to get better throttle response?

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      In stock form, throttle response is just fine. After getting through the quad's break-in period we've been putting it through it's paces, and it has proved much more capable than we had initially thought. If you wanted to squeeze a little more power out of one of these, could change the carb & add a higher flow air filter to it.

    I can't believe rest these cost $1,700 at my local runnins. They seem to be good little, safe, and fun quads for kids but $1,700 got me a 2000 Yamaha warrior 350. But it definitely doesn't have the features that this little thing has

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      Yeah it is an awesome little quad, but I definitely wouldn’t turn down a wicked deal on a Warrior 350 or similar atv. I’m actually looking for one of those, just for something bigger.

    Is there any way you can make this thing have a little more torque? Or is there any way to remove the governor

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      I’m not sure actually. These things are still difficult to find any info or videos on as of now. If you watch my top speed video on this quad you’ll see that it revs out all the way so I don’t think it has a governer on it at all.

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      Mine had a rather high idle when i bought it, all it took was a flat screwdriver to turn the idle screw on the carb. As for the issue with the bike smoking, not sure what to tell you besides making sure the oil level is good, and maybe chnage it if it is required.

      @@canadiantrailatv mine was idling at 6000rpm in neutral. The throttle cable was kinked and needed to be adjusted,10 minutes after we fixed that a fuse blew,we replaced the fuse with a new one and it blew again so we went back to Tractor supply and exchanged it for a new one

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      That was good of Tractor Supply for allowing an exchange for another bike. Although mine still seems to be running perfectly fine to this day, there are a few too many problematic and possibly defective units out there.

    • @canadiantrailatv
      @canadiantrailatv  2 года назад

      You will need to put oil in the quad before first starting it. I should have shown that process in the video but it took just over a quart of 15W-40 which is what the user manual calls for.
