WOW - I found the book and you are right, in the fine print it says that. 100% honest I have not changed the oil yet but will. Thank you for the comment
great review! I did a review of the Utility version of of this "AT125UT". My wife is small and we also did not want to pay $3k+ for a Polaris Youth model. We paid around $1200 at tractor supply with a sale and coupon. Only worry I have is the starter sometimes sounds like it's going to "grenade". Not sure if it's made out of pot metal or plastic. But I do worry about the longevity of the starter. We are going on about two years.
My daughter has been riding since she was 5 and her sister would ride with her. They are 9 and 8 now. They have a Polaris sportsman 110 now. And I am looking a atv for my 5 year old son. And I think I just found it.
Polaris 110 is a really nice machine, glad that has worked out. I looked but had a hunch my kids might not drive it that much and I was kinda right. I have had a good experience with the Coleman so I wouldn’t be scared. Thanks for the comment.
We have had great luck with ours 2 years in. We have a arctic cat 90 for are younger son and it doesn’t run near as good as the Coleman. I will say the Coleman had to much top end and not enough bottom end power as we don’t ride out in the open and more in the trails. So I replaced the sealed carb with one I could tune and put a larger rear sprocket on it and now it’s perfect!
2 bumps with our remote start and ours stated right up. Ours has shift lever. Like found on other types of models. We found deep leaning allows the rear to slid more. Deep lean more over the the front wheels then just out. It drifts like crazy. Stay on the throttle and pluse it once it starts to slide. We plan to put a 34mm pixie carb w/ cone air filter and a performance exhaust. Once, our son get use to riding the heavy gas 4wheeler vs his slow light electrical.
i BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON AGE 9 TODAY ....WAITING FOR HIM TO GET HOME FROM SCHOOL ...IM SO IMPRESSED SO FAR . i NOTICED YOUR GEAR SHIFTER IS COOLER THO , MINE HAS A HANDLE THAT IS HAND OPERATED RATHER THEN A FOOT PEDAL
I got mine for my son for $500 new from tractor supply,as is, because they couldn't get it started. 1 wire pin popped out of a connector. How could their workers not figure that out... lol
@mariahbenson5673 if you use UT regularly then no, but if it's the winter and it's been sitting a while might as well give it an hour or two charge. Use it every 2 weeks or so and you should be good.
bought 2 of these for $999 ea a few years ago. always problem with starting with starter barely cranking over even with new and higher amp battery. now troubleshooting why neither has spark. bought a cheap 110cc ATV that seems to have better components, starts and runs every time
I think he could be misleading, because the tires still has the nibs, the tire tread is not worn, not even the back tires. Plus, the plastic is shining like new and no scuffs, not one.
I think that is because they are riding in a pasture. The terrain they are riding on in the video wouldn't wear the tires hardly at all. It's obviously kept in a garage or out-building and not out in the weather. I don't think there is anything misleading just because the atv is still in great shape.
My daughter is 8 now and my son was 7 when I got it. I really tighten the he screw to prevent it from going to fast when we got it but now I have loosened it up. I was basing things more on size than age.
Where is the hour read out? I noticed on your dash cluster is shows 0.000 trip hours or miles but you've had it for 3 years. Just bought one for my son that why I'm asking. Thanks in advance!
@@WoodwardAcres no they have the AT125-EX in all Black color also you can purchase the AT200-B which is larger and comes in the color Black/Green or the color Black/Purple!
I've had this same one for 2 years and absolutely despise it! Bought this and the 2 seat go-cart for our twins couple yrs back. This thing has never ran right or at all, usually. Has NEVER started easily or in the cold at all. Replaced the electrical CVI box under battery, sensors on handlebars all good, it's in neutral, gas is good and it's getting spark. WTF am I missing???? p.s. The same brand Coleman 196CC Go-Cart is pull start but works great, no issues at all. This ATV has less than an hour on it. Great Video BTW.
Depends more on your size- I’m 6’6 290 so that’s a hard no for me. My wife is 5’4 and could put around if she wanted to. They sell a 200cc that would fit you no problem
Lots of variables in your question but I would think they would initially but could find that want more power in short order. My son is now 12 and he rides my 550, he’s not allowed to go crazy but the Coleman would be too small for him.
I did like the video, just I don't think the age of that machine is accurate. Ours was $1600 and Tractor supply has financing via a store card. Mine has a $5k limit.
Ya right, people by ATV's just to ride on manicured lawn. Bought same machine last week in Canada $2500. Machine bogged down and quit going through our hay field. Started again, drove to our mailbox and back (less than 1/2 mile) and machine bogged down and quit. Returned machine next day full refund. Conclusion: off-shore junk with a Coleman sticker on it.
Hondas 90 is $3499, Raptor 90 is 3299. This Coleman is $1699 right now, so not 4-5K more but 1600-1800 more. And those machines are far more reliable than this Coleman. Not hating, just facts. I think if you get one for $999 it's a fantastic deal, but those prices are not a reality right now.
My kids have had one for 4 years, never had any issues with ours. They love it, I’d definitely buy another one!
Make sure you change out the OIL in this thing. It's shipping oil and it needs real oil immediately... It's small print in the manual.

That's supposed to be done during prep prior to sale but it rarely is done from what I'm seeing. It is a critical step for sure.

Extremely helpful

I can't get mine to go up a small hill. It will drive slowly on flat ground but that's all. Not sure what's wrong.

How would it drive on sand?
Probably like wet mud- okay you just have to gas it
