I don’t want to put words in your mouth...but we can't be the only ones that have been waiting YEARS for this moment, right?! From all the infrastructure projects like the water and electric lines to the decks and foundations, it’s been a very intense few years (and WAY outside of our comfort zone). We still cannot believe that we're to the point where the interior is finally happening...we're just bursting with design ideas, who else is excited for the next few months?!

As someone who's been in the trades since I was a teen I can say with all sincerity that you found a rare tradesmen in Dumpy (that name needs an explanation btw) . His willingness to teach and work as a team with inexperienced homeowners is not common but I've certainly appreciated the interactions I've seen and I think I'd really enjoy working with all of you.
Dumpy is a gem. Knows what he's doing, puts up with having two bosses who don't know what Dumpy's doing. He is not in a rush to meet an arbitrary deadline set by people not doing the work. Since you guys do the work, he has more respect for you than for some people who are not so understanding. Keep Dumpy's number on speed dial guys, he is a very rare treasure.

Squirrel needs a CATIO !!That way,she can experience the outdoor life. Make it attached to the house and be sure to build it so it can be blocked off when you dont want her outside.I KNOW you guys would make her a Castle ❤❤❤.

There was a time when I wondered if the container house was just going to be impossible to finish. It seemed like everything that could go wrong, did. What I never gave up on was the two of you. I can't tell you how fun it's been following you guys around. From the Dome house, the lake house and this Beautiful container home. The love you both show your fur babies and each other, I love that. All the up's and downs you've had to deal with, but you never gave up. A pot you poop in is a chamber pot! Iirc it was common long ago preplumbing, but still more recently in situations when people have a hard time getting out of/far from bed. A bed pan. Emptying them is not a fun task.

I used show my dad some of your videos and kept him up to date on what happened inbetween the ones he saw. Your channel was a great way to connect because he was into construction, renovation, RVs & travel vlogging, while I'm into tiny homes, minimalism, living off grid, architecture, renovations & men. I remember discussing with him what science fiction shows to recommend y'all yeaaaars ago, another common interest of all of us.
Now that he is gone with the wind, I appreciate getting to reminisce about watching with him and thinking about how proud of you guys he would be ❤
When you have the container home finished, you could use your skills to build an outdoor space for Squirrel. She’d love it.
Squirrel definitely needs an outdoor enclosure to keep her safe and happy. Just another project to add to the list but she will love you for it.

that glass tower is brilliant! Hot water and warmth with all the mechanicals inside is just awesome. And in the summer, the tower can draw out hot air from below and evacuate it through open upper windows!

I bought a little Jackery with a portable solar panel, from watching your channel. I'm an old lady (70 years old) and I live in Texas and we do lose power occasionally. It's nice to be able to keep the refrigerator going when I need it. I have gas stove, no problem with it for cooking. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. The way you treat your animal companions and how you take such great medical care of all of them just makes me want to hug you both. I'm partial to Squirrel myself!

What a journey this has been! Such an emotional roller coaster with all the twists and turns and downfalls and upturns of this build. So incredibly exciting to see it so close to finish now. Whenever you show that storage building, I remember when you first got that and you guys were so excited to remove the existing rafters to have high ceilings in there. Then you found out they were needed for structural support so you have to reinstall them. so many lessons learned.
I say to myself during each video, I am so glad you have Dunphey! What an amazingly patient, knowledgeable and funny man. I sure could use a man of his talents. So happy for you that you are finally at the point of working on the interior. Looking so good sweethearts. Finally people who know what they are doing and stand behind their work. Yeah!! Building progress of any sort is so exciting! You are that much closer to having a completing home! One thing with spray foam, make sure you have low humidity inside and an air exchanger. My grandma’s friend built a million dollar mansion, and it was built super tight with spray foam. Because of this the house couldn’t breath, and the humidity from cooking, showering etc couldn’t leave properly. This caused there to be internal dripping of water! An absolute nightmare. And obviously over time creates mold too. My parents traditional house has a spray foamed roof and then walls are thick fiberglass. We are in an arid climate. So far so good

I have a combo screen tent with an enclosed tunnel that can be zippered onto each side for the cats to be safe from the birds and coyotes here. I found it on Amazon and the cats would rather be free climbing trees but I feel much safer for them.

Yep, you’re right, it’s been a long haul and those of us who have been following along are truly happy for you. There were times, I wondered if you had had bitten off too much, as you worried too. Maybe, in retrospect you might not do it again, but you’re in, if not the final phase, at least, to borrow from someone else, you’re at the beginning of the end and you and we can sense that success is pretty much guaranteed.
