Too many dashers, Diamond program, Scheduled shifts then get kicked out of that shift. Try to log bacc on and only can schedule a 2 and half shift at a time. Can’t even extend shifts. SMH! Time to expose these guys! 🚪🗑️
past time!
It’s gotten waaay worse since this was made, my AR is over 60% and hardly any offers are over $5 and most have no tips. There’s also been a huge increase in customers trying to steal orders by claiming that “hand it to me” orders were never delivered. This country is awful.
It's been horrible.
They're giving priority to newbies and those who take every order and screwing those who cherry pick.
The newbies will figure out quickly taking every order will rack up the miles on their vehicles for literal pennies and they won't be taking every order for long.
If you dash in a diamond zone, good luck with cherry picking. Get your AR up and you'll get all those great orders
As a new dasher... i learned not to take EVERY order lol, for where i live, 6 dollars or over is good for me
@@nomaderic
My AR shouldn't matter or be tracked by DD. As an IC I am NOT obligated to maintain a certain AR and should not be penalized in any way for having a low one.
I will never accept a no tip order going 7,8,9,10+ miles for strictly base pay, and no IC should.
DD is just setting themselves up for a massive Civil suit, between the zero transparency on actual pay for orders, and the stealing of tips from drivers, the lying about miles on orders, as well as punishing drivers who are not their employee... it's only a matter of time before a class action rolls around.
Already happened with Instacart.
I'm not putting 20+ miles on my car for a $2.25 order with no tip just to get my AR up....the AR shouldn't even exist.
@Annie potts I agree it shouldn't matter. But I does. My ar used to literally be in the single digits at all times. Now it's not. You either adapt or persish, I had to adapt and I did. I suffered short term so I can prosper
@@nomaderic
Thankfully, i don't rely on it and don't have to adapt to taking no tip long distance orders that I don't profit from.
I often end up 2 or 3 zones over because I can't ever schedule shifts and it's busy over there so dash now is available. Tips are usually better over there too.
Been dashing almost a month but watched a TON of dasher vids before getting out there. I drive a 20 year old car and there is no way I would take some of those orders. If I am dropping off near a place where I can get another order, I will do a low order of a dollar a mile. But if I know I will for sure come back empty, it's gotta be a least $2.00 a mile. I have not got a cash tip yet, so I definitely don't count on that. Yes, sometimes I have to wait a long time between orders. But I refuse to take an order with more miles than money. NOT WORTH IT!!!!
The orders in my zone have been absolutely atrocious. The problem is the doordash community is becoming oversaturated, every 2 seconds I see ads for Dashers to start. Its absolutely ridiculous.
Same in my area.
Door dash in 2023 is not worth it at all in my area. I can never schedule a shift unless it’s 1am-5am. And the few times I get a shift there are very few orders. If I get one it’s terrible pay. Not profitable.
True! Even in Vegas where we never sleep is dead as Sleepy Hollow. I can probably beat all of Elden Ring as I wait for orders 😂.
I’m actually looking for another job for the first time in 6 years. I’ll do the no tips for now till I find another job. Doordash is going under I’ve been a driver for 6 years I’ve never seen it this bad
same. but i refuse to do no tip orders. it’s hurting everyone and training customers that it’s ok to disrespect us
Blake, what's the name of that "Whoa oh oh oh oh" electric guitar rock and roll song you have in the background?
I waited 3 hours for a decent order today. Took 3 HOURS. And then I made $53 in 4 hours… *sigh*
I get no orders in my area anymore. I used to make over $100 a day effortlessly. But now I can’t even make $10 a hour. I’ve never seen Doordash so slow.
I live in Utah too and door dash on occasion. I recognized some familiar areas in some of your videos!
I'm done with door dash
Never expect a cash tip lmao
I schedule the same hours every day. I have to schedule a week out. I do pay by time. In my area, near St Louis, DD pays $12/hour. I've been averaging $20-25/hour all month. I've even had my first $200 day and I only worked 7 hours that day.
@K-Dawg I schedule myself from 1030am-2pm and 430-8 every day. I typically don't work past 7pm. I'm in a college town so most orders after 7 tend to go out to campus...
@K-Dawg for me, in my area, lunch is typically great. Last Thursday I only worked 3 hours and made $98. Now, today, I worked 3 hours and made $59. I like doing the pay by time during lunch because I typically see longer wait times. Usually I still get 1 or 2 low/no tip orders, but get several higher tip orders. Today was just unlucky. Still made my $20/hour goal basically...just seemed like less because all the orders were 5-6 bucks.
The first two weeks of January were good for me. Recently though, I sat for an hour during a Friday dinner rush, no orders. I was sitting in the middle of the 10 busiest restaurants in my zone.
DD doesn’t care if they’re drivers make money as long as they can make theirs off of outlandish service fees. Drivers will leave and new ones will fall for the falsified income advertised in the new hire marketing campaigns. It doesn’t help that some Dashers posts their rare high weekly earnings on sites like reddit which makes people think that it’s typical income and they all sign on to become Dashers and that’s where the saturation happens
The orders in my market area have been few and low priced. My market is small and I do believe there are more Dashers here than needed. I consider it a good day if I can average $10 an hour. But when Doordash throws out $8 for 15 miles, decline, decline, decline!!! Now I say this as a part time Dasher. I only work 8 to 10 hours a week. I have a regular full time job during the week.
Things will turn around when Feb starts, especially after SuperBowl
What makes you say this? New to dashing and I’m looking to start soon.
@@bobg3221 i changed my tires all 4 for 800
nope. feb got no better in my market.
All what's going on between doordash and dashers because of kid's like you $3.50 for 4 miles and he took it .
Why in the world would DoorDash “hide a tip”….. what am I missing?
Just one more reason I don't do PetSmart or anything else like that. I also do not do any Safeway's or anyting using my red card. I am not a personal shopper.
I drive 30+ min to dash to hit a zone daily ever since I started
I just got $21.50 for a half hour one stop
There’s been a lot of glitches lately I’ve noticed but I’m in a town of maybe 200,000 and can make 200+ a day still so I’m thankful that I can schedule at 3pm every day for a week ahead..yesterday is history, today is a mystery.
Yea people be waiting until the day of and try to schedule. Thata ridiculous. I schedule days in ahead. I have no problem being able to dash the whole day
UberEats has been decent in my area lately. DoorDash has been a lot slower and the customers on DoorDash are lousy tippers too. I am optimistic that things will get better though for both and hopefully I can get into GrubHub since I'm currently waitlisted
This totally reflects my reality for the past several months I’ve had is a little is four dollars an hour and just hung onto that shift to see if it was gonna get any better and it really did
That music sounds like from a porn movie😂
Been working just south of nashville in brentwood for a year. Used to be able to work almost all day. Now it’s strictly peak lunch rush and dinner rush. Thankful to still be able to make some money since a lot of people seem to not get anything. But even still there’s a lot more sitting around waiting for orders than usual
Ive been doing doordash as a side job for over a year now with 1900 deliveries so far, and I can agree that this video is 100% accurate in Richmond VA. I sit daily now for at least 15 minutes waiting on orders. And the ones I do get are 2.25 to 6.00. I rarely get anything over that anymore. It recently started being this bad, maybe 2-3 days ago. I think doordash is either stealing money again or filtering orders somehow.
They prioritize the good orders to top dashers now, is what it is
@@thisaintart Yeah but the problem is I am a top dasher with an acceptance of 77%
Bay area California sometimes on a Saturday I sit and take nap for 45 minutes before I get one $6 order.sunday is the slowest
It’s been the same for Uber eats and grubhub here in Los Angeles
The new 2023 dasher model rolled out and everyone salty. Gotta be a top dasher where you can dash wherever, whenever, and they prioritize higher paying orders and filter out bad orders. Sucks but with the new model I’m still making 20-45/hr every day. Average is 25 between good and bad. Is what it is.
There is no Top Dasher in my market anymore
I used to do Door Dash and it sucks! Now I do Instacart and I did 2 deliverys the other day in about 2hrs and got paid $110 in total with the Tips included! The pay is way better!
made only $14 hr yesterday in my area
I got $22 order right off the bat
in regards to scheduling the shifts, you have to schedule them a week in advance just to be safe, gotta know that by now that you can't just get on ANYWHERE lol shit bad, everyone dashingnin all cities and States lmao
@@bobg3221 I agree 1,000% with that statement, you should be able to open the app like Uber and log in and work, but door dash is dumb and doesn't want an area "over crowded" but Uber doesn't care why should they? lol if people earn they earn, and also I agree with this was NEVER intended to support adults with families and bills, FULL TIME, this is just that, a "side hustle" but when the pandemic hit and people started clearing $1,000 a week EASLIY, every ran and jumped on the train, and now it sucks because its oversaturated and the economy is rough.
Can you make a video on how you file your quarterly tax for doordash? Thank you. I love all your videos
Live in Dallas, and it’s always busy
In my area in Central Mass used to be ok now it's like 10/hr on DD. In the other hand UE is saving me.
It is pretty hard to get a shift scheduled right now but when I'm able to its definitely not this terrible here in Peoria (Metro Phoenix)AZ. I do understad why dashers are attempting to become top dasher for dashing any time but I can't bring myself to accept crap orders, especially when the miles are higher than the initial payout, to get to top dasher lol! My time and gas aren't worth a $3 order, not even an add on.
You only have to go through it once though. I used to be at like 5 percent AR. I am now in the 70s and once here its way easier. You just have to put in a few days of taking super crap orders. I know it sucks ass and you aren't making much money but it's just something you gotta do. Suffer short term so you can reap the rewards long term
So when you cancel, what do you do with the food 🤔?......
Well, I saw the mistake at the end of your shift. You went to NY Pizza Patrol. They are garbage for drivers.
Bro I gotta say it. You need to cherry pick. You are taking Trash orders for a city lime salt lake.
It’s terrible even Uber eats
I have had better luck with UberEATS lately
I've worked on a higher acceptence rate. I'm seeing pretty good results.
Bro DD for me sucks so much i cant even get a shift at all.... im just stuck doing uber eats instead and making way more money there
It just depends on where you live
I have a 97% acceptance rating and I'm six orders away from being top Dasher month of February I think in some markets you just have no choice that you have to be a Top Dasher. I'm very excited to try it in my market I cannot wait until I can knock out these last six orders and I make top Dasher for the month of February and then I'll if that's the problem but I have noticed with I reception trading it is easier usually to get shifts. I don't have any problems getting orders usually I don't have to wait too long your Market just must be slow right now mine's okay.
Will never do top dasher, killing myself putting tons of miles on my car to be top dasher. If something happens to my car, the top dasher won't save me from the mechanic. Either doordash don't care about me
This video doesn’t describe my reality. Door Dash is very solid for me right now. It brings in the majority of my income alongside some Uber Eats and I make $225+ a day. That’s just for January. I make more during busy times of the year. Been driving since 2016.
Which location ??
@@saikarthikmorakonda3862 Metro Atlanta
Are u a top dasher?
@@jackietimes2578 I am. I dont cherry pick either.
how's your car? how much would you say you spend on maintenance per year?
I quit 2 weeks ago. 6 yrs and no more. 120k on my car . making way way more on another gig app.
The Solo app is only available in the US. :/
Bro takes on the crap orders, then complains about it lmao
I'm in Ohio. I do 23-27 hr. Yesterday due to weather i made 72 in about hour and half due to high peak pay. I have 88% acceptance rate.
All this really proves is that doordash is a game of haves and have nots. Everytime there's a video like this there's at least six people commenting like "I made a hundred bucks an hour yesterday!" Good for you.
@@willlastnameguy8329 Its market and area driven. I dont believe Doordash has as much control as people think. Most of their decisions are made split second by an algorithm. I go to areas where people are likely to have disposable income to tip middle to upper middle class. Cleveland Ohio is easy to move around not all cities are like that. If you can fit the outline of what the algorithm sees as a good driver then your odds of success are going up. Its really not complicated or some conspiracy.
@@tonyparra8736 Of course it's not a conspiracy. It's a game of haves and have nots. Like I said. The problem is, doordash commercials constantly say you can make 15 to 20 bucks an hour, and they won't stop recruiting. You end up with a hundred drivers in an area that can only support 30, and only the people willing to take GARBAGE orders all day for a month get to eat. Sorry, but I can't literally lose money for a month in the hopes that I get to make money the next month.
Here's a question. What if everyone decided to start taking every order to become a top dasher, or get priority on "high paying orders"? All of a sudden, your pay goes down. Would you do this job for ten bucks an hour, like most people have to? This kind of crap should be illegal. You're literally stealing money from people who can't afford to take a $3.50 order, that might take twenty minutes to do. The pay disparity is insane.
Like I said, good for you being close to a zone where they still offer high peak pay, and have customers that tip. But doordash needs to STOP RECRUITING BASED ON LIES. And people like you need to stop bragging in videos like this where somebody is telling the truth. It's gross. Just make your money and stop shilling for this bullshit company.
This video does not explain what it is like for an average Doordasher in 2023. This video shows how a RUclipsr multitasks food delivery, getting a sponsor and making RUclips content. For people who are just looking to DoorDash, hourly rate means absolutely nothing. It's how much did I make vs how much I spent on gas. Especially if you have 4-8 hours to spare for a gig job.
The whole world knows you don’t accept persmart orders.
I had a quad PetSmart all small 1 item orders about 6 months ago. I was doing the AR thing end of month taking order. All 4 deliveries was like 15$. Thankfully they were within about 2 square miles. Was surprised to make almost 40$ off it in the end...t9 this day no red card or pickup has been even a penny over shown pay.
PetsMart some of the best tippers.
I’m at 4,000 already this month ! Might just be your area bro
What city you in?
@@MrDododo22 I would like to know too
What CITY TRE BOONE?
I would have got paid for that 35 minutes I work by the hour I don't work order I work by the hour that would have been like a six or seven dollar base pay plus tip if you go by the hour. It's much better
I live in California . No money on week days but it’s popping on the weekends. I can make 500$ in 17 active hours. Which is what I usually work in a week.
Which part? Here in San Jose I sit for and hour and half before any orders and I sit a busy places like chick FIL a whole day I can only make 80 dollars even with Uber eats
Doordash has done something weird?!?!? Please try other apps as they are definitely doing better. I have a gut feeling that some customers have been removed from their delivery service hence the additional slowdown. Plus add in too many drivers and there's just not enough to go around.
I’m at 2500 already this month and I barely go out I do two hrs in the morning two hrs afternoon 3 4 hrs at night. Make 150 a day. I’m good with that
Pizza Hut stole that tip since it was ordered through their app.
🤣
Attempted to add Uber to solo and it won’t it days invalid credentials which is bs lol cause I just logged into Uber with my passwords and it’s fine but it won’t do it thru the solo app
What monster gets Arby's delivered? haha
I’ve been on background check 3 weeks with Doordash Grubhub and Uber eats why? Thank you
Mine took 1min to answer the background check questions, uploaded my two pieces of ID + proof I can work in Canada and I was approved to start delivering the next morning with Doordash.
@@littleripper312 I have no idea why it’s taking so long here in Pennsylvania but all 3 are saying same thing I would do it again but if I do that I’ll be sent back of the line and make me wait again I’m hoping someone else having trouble I may re-boot and do it all over again just weird all 3 saying same thing that’s all! Thank you
Trust me not worthed.
The solo app is only good for Uber x rides. There's really no guarantee where I live. I think it over estimates your mileage and I don't like you have to pay for credits for the hours your trying to guarantee. I wish you guys would stop pushing this app.
As a Top Dasher in a diamond zone DoorDash has never been better for me here in '23! I'm killing it, 86% AR!
true. most drivers who post their “high” earnings don’t subtract all the expenses deducted.
F door dash don't waste your time.
this is overblown. there are many millions of unfilled open non-gig jobs. "$3 per trip" orders will push MANY drivers out of Doordash, into other jobs. Nobody wants to work for $3 per trip. Market forces will reset the gig economy back to "dasher shortage"
I make 200 a day easy idk what you're doing wrong
You need to move home.
Man you been taking trash orders man do you cherry pick or take everything u should do earn per hour if you take everything I do both depending on time of month and my stats
Become top dasher then your set
my orders didn’t change after becoming priority dasher. still pitiful
in order to get and remain TD you have to accept pitiful orders so what’s the point?
Yea can’t relate
lol delivering food in the winter sucks im not freezing my butt for it.
Hey, you very lucky, I got $0/hr many times in this 2 weeks
same
There may be significant changes in their shareholders.
Hey ,what city you live?
