This is a big reason as to why I work a W-2 again. I drive DoorDash from like 6-8:30 after work and the app tends to send me decent enough orders to where I can take them all. I don’t know if this is coincidental or by design, but using this as a side hustle has been the most beneficial to me at this point. Full time is no longer an option here
I absolutely agree with what you said. I do morning shift for uber eats/doordash for 330-4 hours before I start my fulltime job in the afternoon so having that extra money is bonus but I wouldnt be doing this as fulltime due to over saturation and over charges on these apps
Sounds a lot like the order I took last night. Came up as $13.50 for 18 miles, it was closer to home then where I was at so I took it. They bumped it thankfully to $17. Then it was 5 miles back to the house so I could change and go to work 😂
I just started back up on DoorDash after taking two years off. It's crazy how different it it. Two years ago the phone would NOT stop pinging with order and today, it's crickets in between. I live in Seattle and they have way too many zones now. Every order seems to take you out of your zone and then you have to drive back to your zone. It's a bit ridiculous.
Noooo! Why do ppl keep saying that? Press the back button and it will then say 'Return to dash' at the bottom but press 'End Task' at the top and then press 'Dash now' at the bottom. You don't ever have to travel back. You can dash anywhere anytime.
I’m a top dasher for more than 2 years find that my DoorDash earnings last year went from $25/hour to $23/hour this year. I seen recently days where I was making below minimum wage. Too many dashers I think, in my zone in Southern California. Looking to start my business outside of DoorDash.

Every place i pick up from will have like 3 or 4 other dashers there waiting. Theres also no point in doing weekdays from 2 to 5. Youre just wasting your time dashing during that time
Oversaturation is something many of us have been talking about for at least a couple of years while others poo pooed it. Just too many drivers out there, like everyone and their mom is doing it nowadays. None of the delivery apps will ever be what they once were again.
Im still figuring out the best times and areas locally to maximize orders. Between GH, UE, DD and Spark I'm usually not going longer than 5-10 minutes without an offer. However there are those slow times. My worst day so far was $22.50/hr, and ended up being 96¢/mile that day. Just got my car inspected so I can do rideshare.
Recently, I have had to deviate from my 2 dollar a mile standard. I have just offset it with other apps. I am examining orders I normally wouldn't take. I'm looking for highway miles on the longer trips. has really offset it being slower.
I went out Saturday morning 645-Noon, made $130. Little dirty stack with DD and UE on a few orders, still getting orders to customers on time. Picked up DD earn by time order while I was on route to deliver a Walmart grocery order from UE. D order was picking up about 2 miles from UE drop, and took my sweet time getting there. Dirty stacking is a must to be above average profitable.
I do Doordash as a side hustle from my W-2 job, and my market has been incredible since Valentines Day. I can typically average between $15-$20 an hour here doing only $1 per mile orders, but every day for the past two weeks I've been over $25 an hour and getting $1.50-$3 per mile. Last Saturday I did $42 an hour and averaged $3.75 per mile, including my commute into my zone. Really hoping this kind of thing continues.
Screw that. Driving 5 miles for $7 is a rip-off. That's 2 min per mile not including stop lights, waiting for the order, dropping off to some f'd up location. More like $14 an hour before gas.
I had a four hour stint with no orders and getting a dead battery. Still made money while waiting making a few calls. Never go out without a backup plan.
I am just finishing my first week of DoorDash EVER! Yes, I just thought I'd give it a try. I live in Henderson, NV. First 4 days I made $221.11 and this week, 3 days into it... I have done $241.50 so far. I don't know if thats good or bad. I am trying to figure out how to get the money off the card
Once Spark started sending me more than a couple offers under a dollar a mile, I quit. You guys are your own worst enemies in the gig economy...tearing up one of your most important assets (vehicle) for minimum wage after expenses.
Bruh, it's always the Indian food places that think you are going to rip them off and steal the food, I don't get asked to confirm the order at any other locations 😅
The best way to doordash is to do Doordash and UberEats as a supplement. I’m making just over 1600 per week between my full time overnight job and the apps
Ours ends around April 1 in Palm Beach County. After that, it's crickets & $1 mile. The tourist season is boomtime. I will head north to my summer grounds whenever it dries up. The great thing about this hustle is we can work anywhere anytime. I will be going to GA, then KY, then Chicagoland as the seasons progress.
I worked last night uber eats 7pm-10p. It was slow here in Texas too. I got panda express $15. For 6 miles. After that 1 order $5.75. 2 miles. But it was slow and very low pay $3.
the more dashers that get discouraged, the better it is for your earnings...rainy weather is highly discouraging, so my best days are wet ones. Also, Papa Johns in my zone have seemingly reduced or entirely eliminated their drivers over the last few weeks.... been receiving stacks of orders for $20 going under 10 miles very regularly.
If nobody take the order they never raise the base pay. They will first bundle/batch the low pay order with something else to make it more appealing. The next thing is to hire more "new" drivers to keep that base pay low. They will never raise the base pay unless it was the absolute last thing to do. Also, DD takes a huge cut out of those long distance orders.

Some cans are ok, and not as reactive, others are highly reactive. I suggest pouring your energy drinks into a safe Corkcicle or similar mug.
These food delivery jobs are only part time jobs these days, anything more is a time sink. It’s best to do DD or UE on the side with something else.

I have a question maybe soneone can answer? I got an order that says contactless delivery. Says to call customer or recieved instructions. I write in the little box handed to customer or dropped it off. But there's never a send button. It keeps going back to complete task. So I have to call dash support and waste 5-10 minutes of my time. I even refresh app and it still goes back to that screen. Real frustrating
@@daviddillemuth7268 I'd say 98% of those "Call for instructions" - the customer just wants you to leave it at the door. I learned that when I started. So now I just do that for all of them like that, but that's just me. Saves time though. Good luck out there
For me if the fast food workers had the orders done I would make more easy it’s weird because they have a partnership with these apps but can make u wait 30 mins to even pick up a order because they simple don’t have rules that say hey these ppl are getting payed to and it’s ur job to provide a quick FAST FOOD service doordash needs this in the contract these places should not be able to have you waiting that long when it equals to that customer waiting a hour for there fast food and it’s not even the 5-10 min drive that is the issue at least in my market place ppl are lazy and make u wait so long but most important the customer ordering the food and workers can even be ignorant I barley go out now to dash now it’s just not worth the headache

Hey Trevor! Could you maybe do a tutorial/tips vid for people who may be on the fence about ride share? I’m curious about how often you should clean your car, what type of rides to decline, etc.
This was me on Saturday! I got a total of three orders during the $5 peak pay. Started at 7:30am and ended at 10am. Spent most of my time sitting in the middle of a hot spot waiting. The pay averaged to $18 per order. This is in South Seattle, WA
Rideshare is just as bad if not worse. If it wasn't you wouldnt have "The Rideshare Guy" Chris and Sergio making videos complaining all the time about Uber and Lyft. The reality folks is the party is over the days to make good money doing gig work is over do to many variables and factors. Main factor is the pandemic os over therefore people don't need food delivered to them this service is for lazy people and it's also a luxury. Then we have the problem with oversaturation therefore these companies dont jave to pay the drivers as much like during the pandemic. Like I said before there is no reason or incentive for these companies to pay us more.
It's God damned pathetic that we have to use our own vehicles, and all the costs associated, to make minimum wage. It should be against the fu##ing law.

@@randomvidz520 I'd say highly unlikely because our base pay has only decreased since I've started. It used to be $5 then slowly drizzled clear down to $2 base. If trends continue, by next summer our base will be $1
There needs to be a way to fix it the government should threaten doordash that if they don't raise there Base pay they get kicked out of operating in the u.s. ubereats would take over in a Heart Beat.
Just send a picture to the customer and then click "handed to customer"
@@JayZ-2369 on yah that makes sense. Thanks
2 weeks ago using just DoorDash & Uber eats I made $1400 in 50 hours & then last week I made $1600 in 50 hours as well.
Definitely depends on the market but I’d say my market is a mid tier market. Where I’m originally from I would make even more
Yesterday was $5 peak pay, I was scheduled 11-2, I declined my first order at 11:01 because it was too far away. Then I only got 2 more orders from 11-2. Only TWO. Ended at $23.50 for 3 hours.
Dang… this is exactly what I mean by oversaturation
It definitely sucked. I hope there are not DD bots out there like there are for other companies-allegedly. 🤬
@@the_caffeinated_hustle wow
Food delivery has been a thing for forever. The assumption that those of us who use it are lazy is hilarious.
It's God damned pathetic that we have to use our own vehicles, and all the costs associated, to make minimum wage. It should be against the fu##ing law.
Thank GOD I do gig work in Cali . . Without prop 22 i'd just go back to a "regular job" . .That said.. even with prop 22 .. it doesn't matter if you're waiting 2 or 3 hours between crap orders. . Yawwn . .
7 for 8mi.... 13 for 14mi...
Tha crap we put up wit smh
Fr tho… wish it didn’t have to be this way
The reality is it's almost $1 per mile yr just being picky. What do you want for them to pay you $20 per order? You're dreaming bro 🤣
@@bballah9969depends where you are going. If it’s taking you to a spot with places that’s one thing. Most of the time it brings you in the boonies and it’s a full round trip. Eff that lol

🤣
Wait, wait, wait! $16 for nine miles?!? So, that’s actually 18 miles. Yeah, not a good idea at all.
Think of gas…..wear and tear…. time away from your zone of orders, potentiality of accidents….etc.
No ay in heck I’d have ever taken that order.
So, basically, I’ve learned this channel is making money via RUclips and NOT doing gig work.
Deff oversaturation bc you made $23 first hour before every logged in doordashes fault hiring tons of damn newbie drivers so idiots will take the non tip orders sick of it
Economy is really bad. Not enough orders, too many drivers, base pay and tips have gone down
This what happened when driver complaining about don't get enough paid hourly . You don't realize that now we less order . If don't like this kind of job quit find w2 job
That's the problem... All these people trying to make videos to make content you let the word out and there's so many drivers for doordash I see 40 to 50 people a day I live in Arkansas and they're doordashing...
Taco bender 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The fact that you are taking 13 dollars for 13 miles means they win and have successfully imposed that money to miles ratio on drivers who they have intentionally rendered desperate with market saturation. As long as you people keep taking them, they will keep sending them.
Unfortunately they send them regardless of if I accept or decline them:/
They call you young and needy. You will work for crumbs!!
Do you guys see how much i save with uber one😅
Nobody is tipping
If u are dashing earn by offer u are not going to get a lot of offers. DD wants u to do earn by time
Then why do they send out only low tip orders on earn by time
@@twistedmonkey17 maybe for u and depending on time but I make more On ebt than on offer. What do u expect? U expect high pay all the time? I don't get it. Make ur money whatever money u can
All of these apps now. I have to work 12 hours or more to make a living
Yeah, I couldn't imagine having to pay rent with these apps. Except for working 12-hour days or 60-hour weeks
Do anything else and this as a side hustle as intended..... wear and tear on your body and auto not worth it.
Things are only going to get worse as the economy continues to crash. More people will be forced to enter the gig economy, putting downward pressure on wages.
Another repetitive video thanks for all the tips throughout the years !

I won't ever get food off DD if that happens
You must not be a top dasher in that area
Go with roadie lol

You are taking junk
I would love your opinion on this guy…says he makes 40-65 per hour on DD consistently & bashes other content creators who say DD is garbage!
