Ty saved me from watching the video
Thanks a lot
Anyone else watching this for their mom?🌹🎀
Me
Yup 🤝😂
Yessss
Me
I’m watching it for my child.
Thank you! Finally, someone who admits that not all women in their 40s have dry skin. I'm 48 and have super oily skin.
Me too. My skin is an oil pit.
We’re supposed to age slower because our skin has more moisture (meaning it’s a grease pit). I sincerely hope so because all this annoyance will have been for nothing.
I’m so jealous! I had really oily skin and overnight it turned on me, almost immediately after I turned 40. I had to discover all new products because it was so drastic of a change.
@@bashlea I hate to tell you, it’s probably peri-menopause. I went through menopause at 30 due to chemo, and my skin became soooo much drier than it was. It’s still slightly oily, but nothing I can’t handle after dealing with very oily skin my whole life. If it’s not, I’m sorry I opened my mouth, but it comes for all of us sooner or later. 😭😂
I'm in my early 30s but I watched this cause I am getting myself ready for my 40s...I know it's gonna be a blast❤thanks so much for these videos you keep making,it's been really helpful.
I was very flippant about wrinkles in my early forties, until I started losing elasticity in my mid forties and began to notice heaviness around my jawline and neck. I've never been particularly focused on my looks but experiencing the rapid drop in collegin and elasticity has me adhering to a strict skincare routine.
loved this video- i'm in my 60's and would love to hear you talk about a skincare routine for women in their 60's. Thanks
Thank you so much for this. I’ll be turning 40 this year, so definitely needed this.
You are so inspiring! I admire your honesty so much! I am in my 20s & I am really so confused about what ingredients to use, when to use retinol, how to be minimal but also effective. How to identify skin type, concerns..... As 20s is a time I think I should start getting serious with skincare.
If you could make a video on it, it would be great!
I love your content, and I learn so much!! For those of us who can't spend this kind of money, can you show us a routine like this on a budget please? I'm happy for all those who are fortunate enough to be able to afford this, but for many of us, this just isn't an option. Thank you for listening!❤
If you watch her product specific videos she has alternative options (eg vit C she recs Paula’s choice)
@@Blahblahblahblahhhhh Thank you for the tip! I will check out the other videos.
Boo I totally agree. I certainly can't afford a £500 skincare routine!
I'm in a similar boat and what I do is I work out what ingredients I want in it (centella asiatica, lactic acid, etc) and trawl through korean beauty websites because they're sometimes 1/5 of the price for a product with the same ingredients.
@@stephaniem1107 Do you find effective products?
Enjoy your content and love being schooled on all your knowledge. All informative...nothing boring
This is a good episode. Thank you! I purchased the Isdin from your recommendation in another video, but I tried the tinted one since my skin is darker. Loved it! My skin care routine is the double cleanse at night with the bio and vani, then use either the rx azeleic acid, cocokind ceramides and then the aveeno moisturizer. I will be adding a retinol after I have kids.
So true! So many changes as menopause hits. The best thing I did was go to a dermatologist and get on great skincare routine & start the discussion about in-office treatments. Seven years later I look younger now than I did at 50 💕
Inspirational!
What do you use?
@@Natedawgg74 Can you be more specific? I'm an esthetician so I use & rotate several products. I also get in-office treatments from time to time. 💕
@@beyond50skinwhat products do you use on a rotational basis and what in office treatments have you done and are currently doing?

I stumbled upon your channel accidentally and I am super happy for that. Have been following your videos rigorously ever since. Thank you so much for detailed videos, educating us❤
More love and power to you 🫰🏻
Thank you as usual! Your hair, skin, and makeup look fantastic!!!!!
I turn 40 in a couple of years, this is what I wanted to see! Thank you
Hi Shereene, you look fabulous and I would love to see a video where to talk about all the in office procedures you have done to keep you looking so plump, young and pretty 😍 seriously, we want to know as it would help us non derms out there! Thank you 🙏 been here since the beginning watching you grow!
I appreciate how you recommend products from different price points. 💖
Can you for a video about skincare in time from 50 to 60 years? The one for the 40s was great! 😊
Yess!!! I am trying to help my mom get started on skincare!

Dr Shereene I admire you very much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
You are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I'm sad I only found you now but so so happy to be learning so much with you! ❤ Thank you
Hi shereene , amazing to see all your thoughts and recommendations on all the products . Loved ❤the vlog and can’t wait to see what sunscreens you talk about , and recommend to anyone xx
Amazing video!! You knocked it out of the park! Can’t wait for the sunscreen video!!
You're glowing, doc!🤩🦄Happy weekend!🌻
Sunscreen is a must. When I was 22 I had a derm exam and I was a nerd. I learned everything. So I was going on about all sorts of skin cancer but did not mention sun damage. I went from 100% to 85% grade😢 but I remembered sun damage and I wear sunscreen on the daily. My new favourite is Aveno 50 with tint. I don’t enter my car without it.
I just found you. You are a breath of fresh air! No fluff, just your truth. Hard to find these days. Anyway, do have any suggestions for those of us that are 60 plus? We didn't have you when we were younger. We had mostly "fluff" and limited data.
I just love your personality and easy way you explain the products. Thank you ❤
I turned 40 last week. It's like you knew exactly what I needed
Damn bitch you’re old now 🤭🤭😆 I’m 40 too… I can’t believe it 😭
I like Bare Republic mineral SPF 30 face sunscreen. It's actually unscented (scents give me migraines, doesn't matter if they are natural or not) and has a nice dimethicone slip so application doesn't feel as heavy and draggy. Dries quickly to a nice soft powder feeling. The major drawback is that it can leave a white cast, and only the SPF 30 is unscented.
Loved this vidéo!! For your sunscreen round-up could you show powder sunscreen or in general how to reapply sunscreen during the day when wearing makeup. Thank you so much!! 💓
Thank you, Dr. Idriss, for this informative video on skincare for your 40s! As someone approaching this milestone, I appreciate your insights on addressing common concerns like anti-aging, discoloration, and redness.
Thank you for this one. Talking about sunscreens, it sounds like you will be doing another video on those soon. I wanted to tell you that while I have a photosensitive allergic reaction to the chemical spf filters currently available in the U.S., I have been trying 4 of the Korean sunscreens you recommended in a previous video. I have done several patch tests and I think I can say with confidence that I am not allergic to any of them! It makes me wish I could find out which chemical spf filters I'm allergic to in the U.S. but they are usually always used in combination so I can't seem to narrow it down. The Korean sunscreens I have tried and can wear: Beauty of Joseon, Purito Daily Go To SFP 50, Purito Daily Soft Touch, and the Klairs sunscreen. These 4 contain a total of 6 different chemical spf filters that I'm not allergic to, so what other ones can I wear is my big question, but I may never be able to narrow it down. Thank you for all you do and the information you provide! My skin is so much better due to you.
Many thanks and wish you a lovely Mother’s Day tomorrow 🥰
Very informative, as always! My wish for your next video is an overview of mineral sunsreens suiting for acne prone skin which don't clog the pores.
Thanks a lot for your efforts, I love your videos! ❤
Hero cosmetics makes some good ones. I wish they were SPF 50 though
Such great content ❤❤ I would love your recommendation next Saturday for an affordable tinted sunscreen that doesn’t pill over your vitamin C serum or other skincare products. Thanks!
Hi Dr Idriss, thank you for your videos! Can you do a video about makeup and how you choose a makeup artist? What makeup ingredients are associated with skin problems and how to find a hygienic makeup artist (someone that uses products that are not contaminated between clients, etc)?
Thank you for this! So interested in hearing your thoughts on pregnancy safe options.
Just tell me what to buy, no need to explain, that’s how much I trust you. Amazing content as always.
Love your videos, very informative and organized as usual! I would loooove to see your recommendations for anti aging sunscreens available in french pharmacy. so grateful to you and this great content! Love to U and to your channel🥰
Not a true skin nerd (yet), but definitely a Dr. Shereene convert. You should be teaching medical providers how to be personable, honest, and relatable. You are such a breathe of fresh air. Thanks for be authentic and not just pushing sponsored products.
I just bought the major fade mask and the depuffer. I’m so excited to get these! Your skin is gorgeous btw!
@@user-qe4zj6iu4s absolutely! The major fade mask is so nice because I don’t get any sensitivity to it. But, wow, it really does seem to be working on the spots that have bothered me. They are looking lighter already! I use the mask twice a week. That seems like a good routine. The debuffer is really soothing and helps with those morning under eye bags. I just don’t use it as often.
Another nice video from you, Dr. Shereen :) Could you do one with recommendations for budget friendly products, particularly with a product for those tech neck lines? ❤ Thank you!
Thank you Dr. Shereene watching your vlogs ❤
Great information thank you! For the sunscreen video can you talk about products that protect against blue light as well? Melasma girlie here 🙋🏻♀️
iron oxide. it s in tinted sunscreens
Hi Shireen. The video was very goid . Thanks for sharing. Please share skin care routine with ingredients for a dry sensitive skin.
Thank-you! Always great info- any chance a segment on 60+ skin care advice and products _particularly love your serum!
Cetreben is a great occlusive to trap moisture in after serums....you wake up with repaired and hydrated skin no irritation! Raw Shea butter is also great at stopping water loss for mature skin. Also face tapping is free and has given me healthier looking skin ( noticed the difference immediately and you can feel the tingling on your face at the end, it stimulates the nerves and sends signals to make more collagen) even if it doesn't you can see improved circulation 💯
+ It's relaxing 😀
Ooh! Face tapping I’ll be looking into now! Thank you😊 I’m all about relaxing as much as possible after a work week. 🎉
Excellent content a usual. ❤Love all videos ! looking forward to next week!
I'm in Australia & 78, with bad sun damage (when I walked to school, no sunscreens).
Isdin, even at my age, is fantastic, my discoloration is much lighter on face & arms,
and my Holy Grail.
I love Isdin too.
Dr Idriss: Several derms have videos like this, skincare for your 30's, & 40"s, OK. What about how confusing it is for all of us, at 60's & 70's our skin is thiner, PLEASE we'd LOVE your recommendations. PLUS men of this age & how to get results with few productc!
Very grateful,
Namaste,

Your Skin looks absolutely stunning ❤🥰❤️
would you be willing to share what you personally do for such an incredible complexion? skincare yes and *especially* any cosmetic procedures and details about how frequently/etc? girl, your glow is incredible!
@@ImpartialLake1256 I believe she has a video where she shares all the cosmetic procedures she has done and does regularly.
@@ImpartialLake1256
She has a lot of videos on different aspects of her skin care routine etc. She does use her own product line as well. Just remember your type of skin is determined by genetics, although it will also be affected by other factors and can change with time. Wear sunscreen everyday regardless of the weather. Say no or limit alcohol too. Alcohol causes your body and skin to lose fluid (dehydrate). Dry skin wrinkles more quickly and can look dull and grey.
@@JoyBlissWonder thanks!
Thank you for the recommendation. I’ve spent so much time searching up the right moisturizer not to mention money on the wrong ones. Some are to greasy but my skin felt dry still and scaly. I decided to give your moisturizer a try. I tried a sample and it was light and my skin absorbed it. Not greasy at all AND has the benefits I’m looking for. Ty!!
Thank you dr shereen idriss, vdo was as lovely as you look in the green dress. Hope it serves the purpose and people will get the benefit from it.
You are the best. Informative and entertaining!
Also, I'd love to see sunscreens without essential oils, fragrance and hydrating for skin even in summer. Dewy skin is my jam now that I an in 30s and don't have oily skin. I am a minimalist now and tinted ones are good to. Of course more bang for the buck to. I hate 1.7floz skincare lol, UNLESS it's an active.
Big fan here! Love your content and your personality is chef’s kiss, as you like to say. 🙃 Could you maybe do a Baby Skincare video sometime? I’ve really helped my hubby with his eczema issues thanks to content like yours, but my baby’s eczema is kicking my butt. I’d love to learn more from experts on how to care well for baby’s skin.
thanks for the video! hope you have a nice day x
I’ve been sharing your videos with all of my friends & family. You are great. My face looks better because of all your information
I love your videos. This 40's video is awesome. Could you do a video for skin care in your 50's? Thank you
Thanks a lot ! I will turn 40 this year and this info will be so helpful.
You are awesome . I am happy to come across your video. You are very clear about your opinion of do's n don't which boost's our confidence. Thankyou doctor for sharing your opinion.
Thanks a lot! Small question: peptides? Should we incorporate them and if so where in this routine?( especially copper peptides which seem to be tricky with retinoids)
I can’t wait to start using your products ❤
Another great video! Thank you!! Banaba boat light as air! I love it!
I love your consistently throughout your videos, such as you how dislike the the droppers
Re: favorite sunscreens, I love the Altruist SPF 50 sunscreen and face fluid. I have them shipped from an online retailer in the UK to the US. Overall price is cheaper than a lot of sunscreens available locally, and I love the ingredients.
can you recommend which retailer?
Hi Dr. Idriss! Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
I am using Heliocare 360 from Cantabria Labs. On me, it is good for the eyes, I re apply the powder version of ISDIN, so far it is good.
Turned 40 in April, I’ve been using 0.025 tretinoin since about 37, but I’m from the Caribbean and seriously burnt my skin in the sun in my 20s. I’ve been taking hydrolyzed collagen which, even if it doesn’t help my skin it at least helps my nails lol. I also have been using peptides and got an led face mask for red light treatments. My moisturizer is often just grape seed oil because I have dry dehydrated skin but I’m also trying Ole Henriksens peptide moisturizer.
I may also increase the tret to 0.05 but will ease into it at first. Also use the 10% lactic acid from the ordinary once a week.
Also for a basic moisturizer I really like Curel’s deep moisturizing face cream and their toners/essences, I used them while in Beijing where it’s so dry, but that really helped.
Not sure how i came across you in my feed but thank God for you
Hiii
This is GOLD! Thank you!
Love centraban. I just switched over to vanicream and used it for the first time tonight. I’m going to try one of those exfoliants soon. I can’t wait for the sunscreen video. I live for sunscreen lol
Turning 40 first thing I noticed was severe dry skin. This past winter was awful. Hydrating toners helped along with squalene oil on top of moisturizer and my humidifier next to my bed
HRT, you will soon be try elsewhere sooner than you like
As a POC, woman, 40+, I just feel that the less chemicals I put on my face, the nicer my skin looks and feels better. 🤷🏻♀️ I got that advice from my grandmother.
Yes, do what works for you! As long as you’re clean and protect yourself from the sun, you’re good! POC get skin cancer too. So be safe.
I’d love for you to address ingredients commonly used in skincare that are hormone disrupters and which products, if any do not have them. Thank you!
There are no hormone disruptors in skincare, that's just fearmongering that "clean" beauty pedals based on misrepresenting and cherry picking science.
Dr. Idriss, what did you use on your face today?? Your skin is always flawless, but your makeup is the bomb!! It has never looked better, MashaAllah. Please advise which products you used today - both skincare and makeup, thank you!
it was amazing😍 thanks a lot.
definitely, I am waiting for watching the sunscreens video❤❤❤
Thank you so much for making this video, it was very helpful.
I look forward to the sunscreen video: I have eczema so I use “physical” sunscreens.
Current favourite is Ella MD, tinted. Would love to see if you can come up with good alternatives. I favour tinted ones so I don’t need makeup.
I’m in my fifties so also wondering what you would add to the content of this video for those of us over 40?
Many thanks! 💕
I use Ella MD too, recommended after having moles removed to protect my skin while healing. I am really liking it!
Love this video! For your sunscreen roundup, can you please talk about Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50? Especially as a primary sunscreen (i.e. not just for touching up). It's a powder sunscreen and it's been highly recommended by several people.
Sherrene: Could you please do a similar video also for 50's, 60's 70's age groups? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
after 40 yo it s all the same
Great as always! Would love to hear you talk about Exosomes and the research coming from the Mayo Clinic. Thanks
Love this so much! Can you address best sunscreens under makeup for oily skin? Thanks so much for all your genuine, valuable info. Can't wait for a Pillowtalk sunscreen!
Dr Jart mineral face sunscreen is very mattifying (I need a moisturizer underneath because it's so matte) but I love it to keep oil control as well as a makeup primer!
Shiseido sunscreen in a blue bottle.
Love your videos! In addition to using the major fade system, Retin A, and sunscreen all of which I use every day - what treatments would you recommend for fine lines and loss of elasticity in the skin. There are so many treatments out there it is overwhelming. Halo laser? Morpheus 8? Secret micro needling? Ultherapy? Help... Thx!
DermalMD Anti Aging Serum is a game-changer for my skincare routine. It has improved the elasticity and brightness of my skin.
Nice ad ;)
I’m obsessed with the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen!! Great recommendation!
Your skin is goals! 😍😍😍
Your hair looks so good!
Love your lip color in this video….and always love your content.
Would like to find out more about sunscreen/UV mirrors. Also, high spf mineral sunscreens and an easy reapplication mineral powder or stick. Thanks!
Thank you so much from Switzerland ❤
Sunscreen: love the Cerave with SPF50 at the moment. Doesn't feel like sunscreen 😊
I’m taking care of my skin in 40s right now in my 30s. Gold Bond Retinol overnight body lotion. 👌🏽
I would love love love to hear about what increases collagen production.
I would really love to hear about what actives - even just singular ingredients like the most important amino acids or matrixyl 3000 stuff - that do the job so I can incorporate them. Copper peptides are my current confusion 😂😭
I have tried several European, American, and Korean sunscreens for oily skin. The only one that is not overly shiny on my skin is the (European) Eucerin Oil Control.
Going to hit 40....& Definitely will follow your suggestions 😊❤
Just started watching the first few minutes, and what she says about hydration is so true!! Speaking as a 36 year old woman 😄 since puberty i've ALWAYS had super oily skin, which has actually been one of my pet peeves. Plus,i live in a tropical coastal island country and the constant humidity makes things worse. So i have always steered clear of any creamy moisturizers and used light, water-based lotions instead. However, since i turned 35, i noticed a slight but significant change in my skin - suddenly i was no longer an oil slick and my skin, while definitely not dry, needed something more hydrating.
I have since switched to a lightweight but creamy moisturizer which makes my skin look bouncier and plumper overall. I have added a vitamin C + niacinamide serum at night, which nicely balances out any excess oiliness too. And finally i seal everything in with a good quality aloe vera gel which is lightweight and easily absorbed but still provides lots of hydration!
can you recommend the moisturizer you used to use and the one you're using now? thanks!
Thank you so much! Any recs for anti aging for late thirties and breastfeeding?
Great channel❤! Do you have one video specificly on neck rings?
I love Shani Darden's retinol. I have seen results and very happy with it!
Great video. Can’t wait for the sunscreen next week. Would like mineral options as my face can’t handle chemical ones they give me a rash. 🇨🇦💜
