- This is a video where I showcase Chen's supported range A2~ A4 (More consistently, he has A2/Bb2-A4). Although he is known for his high belting, his best asset is actually his lowest register, which is arguably the most developed lower register from among male idols.

At last an updated version of his vocal range! Been trying to find something like this for ages. He's my ultimate bias so this is my paradise!
I think people dont understand that Chen's low notes is what actually makes him one of kpop's best vocalists. theres male vocalists that can support higher notes and carry resonance higher than he does but he just embarasses EVERYONE with his low notes. a 2 OCTAVE supported range yeah

Priscila Souza I find it harder to do high notes because I can’t find a place to sing loud enough to hit highnotes 😂. I go as far as g5 lol

I know this is very late but what does A2 equals to when it comes to mixed voice? is it like C5 in mixed voice? and i heard chen is starting to support Bb4 now although i'm still unsure if it's consistent or not.
Yes. A2 is actually equal with C5 mix if you're talking about tenor. Secondly, yeah he might be support Bb4 now but not.really consistent. Anyway, his consistent supported still stay the same, which is A2/Bb2 - A4. He's male equivalent of Tori Kelly/ Uji from Bestie, indeed.

Avatarkyungsoo - oh gosh yes I'm mistaken! I read his analysis a long time ago so I don't perfectly remember about it anymore & messed up his E2, which actually in vocal range section😳
But I'm still confused of why he has the best lower register among tenors in korea where Dongha can also support down to A2 as well :\
well it says "Most supported lower register in male tenor idols(and possibly ballad singers) thus far" . It is indeed true for tenor idols so far, and it says "possibly" with regards to non-idols meaning this was uncertain. It also says "thus far" meaning at the time of writing, that was the thought. Chen's analysis was posted in May 2016 while Dongha's was posted in December 2016, so it is possible they were not yet aware that Dongha had A2 at the time :) Either way, the statement is not wrong, and he is awesome for having A2 lol
