- The recipe is revealed! Looking to go 7s in your s550 coyote mustang ? Don’t have the money for a built motor and want to see how far you can push your SBE? Watching this video may help
I finally took the time to make a video to show the car more in depth. It is a long one but I tried to cover the car in full. 15 minutes of talking with some back story then the next 50 minutes is all the car. Please stay tuned in!
Bare with me on the quality and the sound. It was filmed between a Go Pro and a iPhone using a iPhone app for editing. I still am new to this RUclips thing and learning as I go
Please like , subscribe and comment
As always thanks to Lund racing , kelltrac , Brett and everyone that has played a part in this car getting to this point. Not only did I just imagine going 7s one day, I Never thought I’d be making a video to showcase the car to show how I did it
#rodgersbuilt
7 seconds and no cage, you’re a wild man haha.
I wished more content creators made more videos like this. Its not all about cold start revving and loud music montages.
Or hiding what the build consists of , making it a big secret, running a number and not showing how it was done or hell the creators might not even know because they paid a shop to do it and they just say “call xyz and send your car and they will do it “ without giving any info
I am trying to be as different as I can
@@Crodgers1407 Nothing wrong with that at all.
@@Crodgers1407 haha i know this is a year ago but so true
I was in the same boat as you. I had a lot into a hellcat just to run 9.2. I couldn’t imagine putting more in and maybe getting to 8.5. I sold it and bought a gen 2 for the 6R too! Alright now back to the video lol
Badass build, especially with it being your first s550 Mustang. Might have you a nice little side hustle if any local guys are needing help with a build. Loving the videos and enjoyed watching you shoot the shit for an hour on this one.
So humbling congratulations on your build it’s beautiful.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words
I want to do the doors also. I have the trunk and hood always wanted to know about the fitment.
The look of them is great. The weight savings is a plus. But man the install does suck as I said. Definitely takes some work
I just bought a Gen 2 to eventually build up and this is just such motivation. Just a young man from south Jersey that loves mustangs and I finally got my dream car. Appreciate the motivation
Very nice build and video. Really shows how easy it is to build a coyote and run DECENT numbers
Beautiful garage. Super jealous
Bad ass setup!!!!
Seen this car at ocmd and cecil! Love the car!!! Do you have Upgraded valve springs, oil pump gears, crank sprocket? Any cam timing components upgraded? What are you spinning the motor to?
Yes I have all 3 and yes I have upgraded chains and tensioners. and I usually shift around 7500 - 7700. No more then 8k ever
Awesome video. Bad ass car.
Sweet build
Clean car awesome build… love that you take pride of ownership wiring looks fantastic 👏👏 good for you carbon looks good I like the carbon hoods myself on them that trunk lid spoiler is my fav would love to do one on my gt500 but I’m broke just built house and a shop.. great video an congratulations 7 sec is fast!
Love the garage . Suck on not insulation and having to pull everything thing out to get it done .
Awesome car . Love it .
Awesome build!
What engine diaper are you running?
Motion one says you need to relocate your oil filter but I noticed your oil filter was still stock in the location
I have the motion one. Oil filter stock location. It doesn’t fit the best or cover everything I think it should. But it’s certainly better then nothing
@@Crodgers1407 appreciate the reply.
I subscribed I'll keep watching
Nice build. Thanks for sharing 🦾
Goals 👌I have a boosted f150 with a 10r goals to go a high 8 with that, but it gave me the mustang itch for 7s
Is the truck AWD? If so then your goal for 8s is easily achievable! Those trucks are flying these days
@@Crodgers1407 4x4 i picked it up already built I got a steal on it for 37 with only 7K miles. We’re hoping for 8s this summer that’s our main goal and I still daily it haha 😂
Nice man sounds like a solid deal and seems like your goal should be achievable. Good luck Can’t beat a 8 second pick up truck let alone a daily driver !
NICE SETUP BRO , VERY CLEAN , I LIKE IT
What size AR on those turbos? I got 68 AR and my power seems to tapper off at 5.5k wishing I went with 81 or higher
.82 t3 vband
Sick setup. What a ride!
Hey what's up man, I'm local and been watching your builds, salute man!
Wanted your opinion, I been ready to pull the trigger on a Coyote, was super pressed on a 10 speed 3rd gen cause everyone talks like they are rockets and the only way to go...which apparently isn't true. Should I just grab an auto 2nd gen and make it work, cause it seems like they still haul ass with minimal work just as well as the 3rd gens for some bolt ons and basic stuff to start out with. Those 10 speeds have issues eh?
Both have ups and downs The direct injection on Gen 3 have been known to have some issues but can also benefit with the higher compression engine; the e85 capability; and easy simple bolt on mods with a great return of power. The 10 speeds trans haul ass when they work but at high HP need rebuilt quickly and regularly. Over all a simple bolt on setup with not a ton of power a Gen 3 is the go to . The Gen 2 have the proven transmission that can be built and handle abuse and power. But the engine lacks the compression and the power of a Gen 3 unless you throw a power adder at it. But the engine is known to have 0 issues and be super reliable . Hope that helps
I also have a 13gt dat i have a 6r80 dat i am going to swap iaken mt82 out nomore stick for me.
Nice car I have 2021 5.0. Roush supercharger 750 hp 10 speed had car built from ford so have 3/36 warranty they offered oil pump gears but they said they weren’t necessary on the stock blower so I passed on it but now I’m thinking about changing pulleys and some long tube headers and a tune because the Roush tune is very conservative car still plenty of fast though also is with a 10 speed how much horsepower can handle?? any input on that any ideas should I do all oil pump gears thanks
Definitely do oil pump gears! Highly recommend that for the long term
What is your complete suspension camber arms or lockout set up ?
No camber arms. Cradle lockout yes
Shop here makes the turbo mount up top , runs downpipe under k-member.. oval shape exhaust under it .
your car is almost exactly what I would build. Beautifull car!! my question is, would you build this over again or 4x4 F150? I plan on buying and build something next year and cant decide which one. You have been one road with the car, would appreciate your input.
To be honest I would do it all over again over the truck. I already own a truck , a cummins, it’s my work horse and tow pig. I think the 4wd twin turbo trucks are super badass and super fast and if your not using it for truck purposes and you want it to be your “ race car” then the truck may be for you. Just not for me. Also seems like they really shine on the street. And I don’t do much street mostly track. So if your more of a street guy then the truck may be your best choice. Hope that helps
@@Crodgers1407 it does brother thank you! I I subscribed yesterday after watching your breakdown video
New Subscriber, great content! Thanks
Very clean and well done.. I'm am surprised..
Thank you
You sir are a master builder! Can I ask the cost of this build without the price of the car?
I’d say I have roughly 50k into it now with everything that is done currently without the cost of the car
Similar garage/lift situation. Insulation. Walls should be relatively easy, drywall is so easy to cut/replace. The trick is the Ceiling. I have wooden trusses as well on 24" centers.. What I did was slice 2 x 4's in half making 3/4 x 3.5 wood trim pieces. Hung those centered on each of the wooden rafters, and inserted (Slid in) drywall bridging the two rafters from above. Added 6" R19 rock wool on top, between the rafters. Worked like a champ.
Damn, you know you on a different level if you have a catch can on ur diff!
Nice build and congrats on 7s. Definitely my dream build. I haven’t finished watching the video but would you do this build for others?
Depending on timing and if the parts were available and if the car was local to me possibly. Just depends on the timing of it and the availability of how quickly everything can be done
@@Crodgers1407 yea I’m in the parkville area,l. Pretty sure you’ve seen my car around. Silver s550 carbon fiber trunk/hood
Congratulations on running 7s that’s definitely a huge accomplishment, But I mainly do 1/8 mile racing with my gen 2 what do you think i will need to be able to run with 8 speed and 10 speed Camaros? because the mustangs don’t make the torque the 6 gens do
Are you keeping your car NA?
@@Crodgers1407 yes for the meantime so I can daily it and have fun
@@DaRealSonic that will be a tricky one to try to have a NA Gen 2 be faster then those 6th Gen Camaros. Those things roll out I’m not sure that has been done yet without a full out NA build meaning cams, locked out, built motor , cobra jet , weight reduction, etc. those 6th gens are at the top of the NA game right now
Great video thank you for the share. Did I not see a cage?
Awesome car! What kind of iat temps were you seeing at full rip?
Before the meth install they were getting up to 160-180
After the meth install they have never seen about 110 maybe 120 at most
Love the build. Where do you have your IAT 2 hooked up to see temps post meth injection?@@Crodgers1407
I was lookin at this the last time I was up at Marley, you were parked just behind my white LS foxbody on the other row. I knew it was turbo but sure as hell couldn't see them lol.
also.... get a cage in that thing already. I'm upgrading my 8.50 cert to a 25.5 hopefully in the next few weeks. You're in the not joking around category when it comes to speeds, and safety equipment shouldn't be an after thought
Lol well atleast now you know where they are if you watched 🤣 Finding someone to do the cage I want with the quality I want at a price I can afford is a task. Hopefully it will get one in 2023 after the shortblock
@@Crodgers1407 Yea, they're definitely a bit less noticeable then mine was mounted up in the front bumper. It's a good lookin car though and seems to be working to boot.
Dope video!
Iam not hating, possibly this could turn me into a ford person. But 7s. Come on the bends into the turbos? Intake diameter? What did you do to the hellcat was it equal to this as far setup suspension 🤔
I don’t understand your question , whah hellcat? What bends? I don’t have a intake
Did you have to use a rear spring spacer to fit the 315/50 17r tire
Nope
Wow how much money do it takes to run 7s 😮 i’m pretty sure it’s over 50,000 into that car
Very close to 50 for sure if not a little more
one note is if that's an AMS2000 Pro, it has a built-in gmeter; I mounted my AMS in the glove box due to the gmeter. So, do you race different tracks like prep and no prep? If so, how do you control wheel speed on diff tracks ? In order to fit those 315/50r/18 did you have to add any spacers or change rear springs
I do not use the g meter functions on the ams so that’s why I put it in the glove box. Once I mount it to the roll cage and it’s properly placed it will allow me to use the g meter functions. I use the ams in a very simple basic way honestly. I don’t do any no prep racing. And to fit the 315s I run stock oem springs no spacers
Can you share the link for the fuel drum pump?

How much was the 6r80 build and what’s the hp rating on it?
I will have about 9k wrapped up into the 6r80 once this build is complete . Not sure of a rating but it’s every aftermarket part they have for it.
Last question, I just got my Aldo kit do you think it’s a manageable install for someone with slight car knowledge to install or take it to a shop. It would be my first ever install on something that serious
I would let a shop do it. Something of that cost expense and such a important key to your car I would leave it up to someone that has experience. It’s not worth the risk
Injectors and max boost during record run?
Appreciate it.
Id1700s one R fuel and it was 20+ psi. I Believe around 23 ish
@@Crodgers1407 that's crazy. I'm trapping 155~ with 21/22psi BlFab single. I have cage/kirkey's, but you're definitely lighter. Didn't think the weight would be THAT much different. Car is losing 200~lbs this winter though, we shall see.
I was thinking you were pushing like 27/28 out of it lol.
Well with a single turbo and different kit our boost numbers are going to be no where the same Turbo size will throw that off immediately but taking some weight out will definitely help gain ET
@@Crodgers1407 correct, if anything mine should be more efficient. I've ran 1300rwhp at 23psi, I don't have stock cams and slightly higher compression. Regardless, time for me to lose weight it seems, especially with my stock brakes.
I have a 2022 mach 1 10 speed aut0 with handling package its the best.
Is Brians Mustang from the Mexican Racing League channel a S550? Very nice/ fast you have there
Yes Bryan’s is a s550 as well. Just different engine and trans setup and larger turbos
Just curious why the stock differential bushings? Crazy how all the stock parts in the rear end work so well
We have realized that the less solid/rigid parts the more “give” and play the rear has to not break the hard parts. Don’t get me wrong some locations benefit by stiff or rigid bushings but I have had really good luck with stock diff bushings and not breaking the rear
DID I MISSED SOMETHING?...BUT WHERE'S THE CAGE?...I AM JUST SAYING!...SAFETY FIRST!...OTHERWISE NICE STREET/STRIP MUSTANG!...HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND GOD BLESS! BTW 😇
Yes you missed it’s in there it’s just invisible sometimes! :) Thank you
Yo man, have you ever had any issues with your AMS? I just mounted mine in the same spot but I had someone tell me it may not work correctly because its not level? It looks like its working for you though.
Never any issues but I do not use any G meter tuning that’s the only time you have to worry about the mounting aspect of it so if you were doing G meter tuning, then yes, you would need to mount it level with the chassis
Bad ass congratulations…. How much horse power does this setup make?
I’d say around 1200-1250
@@Crodgers1407 keep up the good work!! 💪💪
You should strive to get to a 6.40 or better. You should get a Steve Morris SMX water jacketed billet big block.
