I'm so happy to hear, Dr. Kandil has set up a phone line for patients to ask questions to help tear down that wall of fear about the unknown regarding RFA. And, my personal experience with Wendy Navarrow, his nurse, was absolutely amazing! She was always so kind, helpful, and very respectful with answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. I'm also happy to hear that he's helping those patients with cancerous nodules over 1.5cm (even though the guidelines are still at 2cm and under).

Really interesting. I am waiting to see if my very large goitre is cancerous. It’s big at 7cm, so not sure if I would qualify for RFA but very fascinating information. Thanks Jen

Not usually, but you should still ask a provider to be sure.

Jen, I've been watching your video's for awhile now as I have a large thyroid nodule that my doctor wants to have surgically removed. Who are the top doctors in Florida doing this? I also saw a video where a Canadian guy had this done in Austria? Can you provide me with any information, so I may decide whether I should have it done here in Florida or travel to Austria to have it done? My doctor did not do a biopsy, as he said the nodule is 2.8 cm's and they believe a biopsy would not be accurate with this size nodule. He suspects its benign but he said they wouldn't know for sure until they did surgery? Help!

Did you doctor do an ultrasound? This should give you an idea of the size of the nodule.
