    Hi Jen, thank you for your work! Do you have any docotrs in Germany? I think in Essen there is one. I am an American so I could go to the States but I live permanently in Germany and have been reccommended for surgery and I can't help feeling like this is all too fast to immediately without any other options being discussed to say surgery. I just have myself and the internet and I only know this since 2 days (diagnosis) so

    Thank you so much for what you're doing!! I love the info you have given and the encouragement ❤️. I really don't want a surgery .My nodule is 3cm and only mildly suspicious for cancer. Would you know of any dr willing to try rfa on that size of nodule? And why couldn't it be done if it was cancer?

      There are some drs who would be willing, it really just depends on who you ask. Cancerous nodules that large may not have enough safety margin to be totally ablated, or they may not completely disappear. With thyroid cancer, you need complete treatment. Have you joined our FB community? There you can connect with other patients who have similar experiences. You can find thr link to join at Saveyourthyroid.org.

    Hi Jen! I recently found your channel and thankful you are so informative! I am very interested if you know any US doctors that will do RFA treatment on someone diagnosed with the papillary type? TIA

      Yes in some cases. Primarily, the size of the cancer must be under 1.5 cm and there must not be any metastases and thyroidal extension.

      @@ItsmeJenagainHi Jen, what type of testing shows thyroidal extension?

    • @ItsmeJenagain
      @ItsmeJenagain  Год назад

      @@Christina-xu3yb I believe it would show on ultrasound.

      @@ItsmeJenagain thanks for the reply Jen! I had a regular ultrasound of the thyroid that found the nodules so I think it’s safe to assume it would have seen the tissues around the thyroid gland. Again, thank you Jen for all the hard work you have put into making these videos and brining so much awareness and hope to people with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer! I am so grateful for you and your channel!

      I'm in California and was recently diagnosed with a small nodule that biopsied positive for papillary thyroid cancer. I immediately contacted the top doctor for this at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto. She does rfa, but only on non-cancerous nodules at this time. Her advice was to have my thyroid removed and not do rfa.

    Hi Jen,
    Will the Dr. In Austria do rfa on a nodule more then 1.5 ?

      You would need to contact him directly and ask, as there are more factors drs will consider than just size. You can find his contact info on our site, saveyourthyroid.org.
