Watched a few RUclips videos on this before going at it, realized some shortcuts and decided to make my own! Let me know what you want to see done next!
12:23 reason you put the wheel on and the car back on the ground is because its possible to generate enough torque to knock the car off the jackstands, probably something you wanna avoid.
Update: I plan on replacing the axle nut I damaged probably not safe after breaking that tab. May have put the rotors on the "wrong side" but it makes no difference
Nice to see a video where things go wrong and you have to get creative. I know the Bentley manual describes breaking the hub nut loose like you did, but why not use an impact gun? I suspect you have one.
Just replaced my wheel bearing. Broke the nut loose manually with a 3/4" drive breaker bar and pipe extension, with the wheel on the ground. Worked easily enough. I have a theory though that because the nut is torqued on to such a high force, the average enthusiast may not have an impact wrench capable of breaking it loose. Thanks once again for your video because my inner race stayed on the spindle, same as yours. Although it should be obvious, I may not have thought to remove that rotor shield for better access. That dust shield ring that presses onto the spindle behind the bearing, I slit that with cutting wheel on a dremel tool, as close to the spindle as I could get, slicing partially into the old bearing race, then used a hammer, screwdriver, and pliers to tear it loose. Once out of the way I could get my puller on the race and it came off easily. I did try prying as you showed but my channel locks didn't have just the right shape like yours to get in there perfectly. Oh, and I anticipated trouble, so I had a new dust shield ring on hand. Thanks!
Had the same problem with the race getting stuck, but on the passenger side so no wheel speed censor to leverage it off. Had to order a fancy puller and heat it up. Appreciate the video.
😅😅😅😅przy składaniu zapomniał zamontować tarcze kotwiczną i co spowodowało że musiał ponownie ściągnąć nowe łożysko prawdopodobnie uszkadzając je🙈🙈🙈 poorly done job
UPDATE ‼️ REAR WHEEL BEARING STARTED GRINDING TODAY.. FOUND OUT MEYLE IS MADE IN CHINA- AVOID‼️
possibly the chillest guy of all time
Dude just used a torque wrench as a breaker bar

Very nice info thank you for sharing 👏

Nice man yeah that inner race is a bitch haha
E30 lug bolts are typically 88 ftlbs. Good job.
Very cool 😎
