- Today I really unbox my brand new iPod by HP, set it up, & test it out. Let’s go back in time to 2004 and actually use one of the exact PCs I used to set mine up back then. We’ll be rocking Windows XP Professional SP1 & HP Edition iTunes 4, all on 2.4GHz Pentium 4 Gateway with 512MB of RAM and a 40GB Maxtor HDD. No edits, all is filmed in real time!

I'll be honest, this makes me want to get an OG iPod and set it up from scratch using my Power Mac G4. :3
If this happened back in the day, I would've been asking either why you didn't get an iPAQ instead, or that I was looking into getting a green iPod mini and if that worked with Windows so I could use it on my beaten up "Excel" laptop (Clevo 2700T for Australian market) running Windows ME, which has a FireWire 400 port. (My laptop back in the day was really an NEC Versa M320 running Windows XP Home Edition).
3:05 I remembered a number of students in the college I attended (back in 2014/15) would leave that "sharing" (not "Home Sharing" IIRC) feature enabled, and I could see random iTunes libraries pop up, and get in. The next moment, I was listening to some random K-Pop music off some random girl's iTunes library in the campus library while appearing to do work.
8:41 I remember taking advantage of that from when I received an iPod touch 4th generation, to when I sidegraded to an iPhone 4 and later upgraded to a 4S, all the way to when Apple ended "Single of the Week". They actually had some interesting songs on there that I would've otherwise not heard on pop music radio stations!
