+Patel Kisaragi Oh, absolutely. I couldn't imagine anyone better than Michael Clarke Duncan as the Kingpin. He pulled off the part so beautifully. Both he and Roscoe Lee Browne are excellent Kingpins. RIP to them both.
"Yeah, go ahead, tell them. Tell them how you got beat up by a blind man." I always found that line epic on so many levels. See, one of the best things about courage is, you've earned your bragging rights whether you win or lose against the bigger, stronger adversary.
I had an idea for a Punisher story called Old Man Punisher and there’s a moment where Daredevil confronts Bullseye. Much like this moment, he does beat him up and leave him broken, but he doesn’t kill him cause he sees no point in doing so. Daredevil is featured prominently in the story and is a secondary protagonist basically. Punisher just shoots Bullseye though after Bullseye tries fucking with him :P
I know exactly what you mean. It’s a clever comeback. I would tell someone, who would threaten to tell about me, this: “Go ahead. Tell them. Tell those at the insane asylum all about how you got overpowered by someone so weak-willed. It’ll be like blood in the water.”
sorry to disagree, i mean, he looks cool, but i'm still thinking that he just don't work as bad guy, because of his appearance, it has nothing to do with his acting or him being black, he just look to good, to me he will always be John Coffey from The Greem Mile, it's the same with Gary Oldman, doesn't matter how much of a great actor he is, i only can buy him as a villain when he uses make up or do a villain's voice, cause he has SUCH a good guy's face, that i just can't see him as a villain.
R.I.P. Michael Clark Duncan. I still consider this to be one of the better Marvel movies at the time and I wish it got some form of sequel. DareDevil doesn't get enough respect.
He didn't bleed, more like had his legs broken. I know we share different opinions on this movie, but even though I really, REALLY don't like it, I like Michael Clarke Duncan as Fisk. Probably because he's a really good actor who knows the script is bad so he might as well have fun playing the role. Same with Colin Ferrell. My changes to make this film better would not disclude them, and the changes are to fire Mark Steven Johnson and Ben Affleck.
Why is it that every time Ben decided to be a costumed vigilante with pointy horns, no parents and a master jujitsu (No idea what the actual fighting style is for these characters) does it turn out that the theatrical cut is always the worst and it's not until a director's cut that the movie gets better? Seriously? Am I going to need to buy Justice League Ultimate Edition to get the best version of the movie?
"Go ahead. Tell 'em. Tell all the guys at Ryker's, how you got beat by a blind man..." goddamn I LOVE this line, I want Charlie Cox's daredevil to say some slick shit like that.
Well lucky for us that type of humour is I think coming back. But hes still keeping the darkness which is Phenomenal. We're getting Peak Daredevil again...

+sabfmbb it is terrible, it just has its good moments like this. A few good moments that are awesome doesnt mean a movie is good, thats the problem with some people
+sabfmbb Matt Murdoch went out and had a "play-fight" vs Elektra in broad day-light right near the start of the movie. A blind lawyer who wants to keep his identity as Daredevil a secret, was doing martial-arts acrobatics in a park in the middle of the day. The film went from awful scenes to decent ones. Unfortunately, the action was uninspired so even that could not save it. The Backstory was well done, however.
I know this movie gets a ton of hate, but I absolutely love this movie, and it is one of the many reasons Daredevil is one of my favorite heroes. Can't wait to see what Ben Affleck will be like as Batman, and I can't wait to see where Daredevil goes with his well deserved Netflix series.

Love you, Michael Clarke Duncan. Great job. Daredevil is an awesome character, and it's too bad this movie didn't turn out that well. It had its great moments, though
While the movie does many things wrong, it does get one little fact right. You would have to be blind in order to actually want to get into a fight with someone the size of Michael Clarke Duncan. Ben Affleck is 6'2" and is fairly big himself and yet is completely dwarfed by Duncan.
Me too. It was one of those films that only got complained about by obsessive comic nerds who think every superhero film has to be exactly like the comics it's based on and they call it crap whenever it isn't. Something I actually really like about this movie is that they leave the villain alive at the end with the acknowledgement that he’ll be back for revenge- that shot of the blood mixing with the roses and Daredevil’s mask while Kingpin is laughing is totally the kind of thing I can imagine in a comics panel at the end of an issue.
Superman13195 First, who the hell is Charlie? And second, yeah, it's true. Jennifer Garner has stated that he had admitted to being unfaithful to her, and they've been trying to work past it for years before it came to divorce. Adultery is a horrible, horrible act.

Vincent D' Onofrio plays him as more primal and unsettling, almost AUTISTIC, both coldly calculating and dangerously unpredictable. Extremely layered and complex; the best villain, and one of the best characters period, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Great casting choice, show consistency profile of actors to play characters with so many physical skills. The fact of making the movements of Kung Fu and acrobatic jumps, without the use of stunt-doubles scenes became absolutely fantastic, extremely believable and unique. Great movie, deserved a sequel!
Correct, I wanted ben afflecks Daredevil to come back for Daredevil 2 guardian devil 2005 daredevil 3 born again 2007 with tobey Maguires spiderman 4 2009
It is cheesy at many points, and the "not the bad guy" line is redundant. But I enjoyed this movie as a standalone movie as opposed to some movie with some awfully redundant plots and who knows how many sequels.
"I've been thinking about this day since I was 12 years old." The only thing sweeter than a man who's father was killed by the bad guy... is a revenge.

Extremely layered and complex; the best villain, and one of the best characters period, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Michael Clarke Duncan introduced me to the badass character Kingpin. God bless his soul for that.
0:17 Daredevil, dude, you didn't make any attempt to prevent him from unmasking you? Were you too injured or something?
Great casting choice, show consistency profile of actors to play characters with so many physical skills. The fact of making the movements of Kung Fu and acrobatic jumps, without the use of stunt-doubles scenes became absolutely fantastic, extremely believable and unique. Great movie, deserved a sequel!
Correct, I wanted ben afflecks Daredevil to come back for Daredevil 2 guardian devil 2005 daredevil 3 born again 2007 with tobey Maguires spiderman 4 2009
Funny, this is Bear & AJ in Armageddon. Rofl.
Never took this fight seriously at all.
the man without fear vs the man with out regrets and giving pain to others
I become a fan of Marvel thanks to this film. But I never understand why it is a bad movie
It is cheesy at many points, and the "not the bad guy" line is redundant. But I enjoyed this movie as a standalone movie as opposed to some movie with some awfully redundant plots and who knows how many sequels.
The special edition is better too.
Criminally underrated film.
That knee shatter kick is infamous throughout daredevil comics. Check out the 5 part series, The Man Without Fear. Brutal comics.
I don't care what anyone would say Ben Affleck did an amazing job as the daredevil an batman, truly an amazing actor
RIP MCD.
I remember that angelic choir singing from the earliest days of my childhood...absolutely haunting
"Justice is served."
R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan, you will be missed
"I've been thinking about this day since I was 12 years old."
The only thing sweeter than a man who's father was killed by the bad guy... is a revenge.
I loved that movie ... idk why people hate it...
***** Inconsistent tone, sloppy writing, poor acting, forced romance, terrible CGI, boring characters, and Mark Steven Johnson.
Terrible CGI in a 2003 movie does make sense, though.
You have to admit, the look on Affleck's face at 1:13 is awesome.
It has "You're fucked" written all over it XD
I really liked this movie and the character when I was a kid
rest in peace michael clake ducan
I love this movie first time I saw this keeping VCR late a night watching one of best superhero movies of all time Daredevil is one of them.
This movie was pretty disappointing but Michael Clark Duncan...well, he helps make up for some of that :) the man was a beast, and a brilliant actor. Shame he's gone now.
Kingpin was one of the tuffest villians I ever saw one of my favorite villians
"God knows I want to.but you don't get to destroy who I am.You'll go back to prison where you'll spend the rest of your miserable life in a cage knowing you'll never have Vanessa, knowing that this city rejected you,It beat you,I BEAT YOU!!!!."
MASTERPIECE.
I wish Ben Afflecks DareDevil said that to Wilson Fisk in the 3rd movie of DareDevil
i dont see why everybody hates this movie, i really enjoy it every time i watch it. his suit looks really awesome, they did a great job on his radar sight, Ben Affleck did a great job in my opinion and i think it is just down right awesome,
This Kingpin makes the white blob one look like a joke im serious.
“You killed the only two people I ever loved, why?”
Wow you really sold that line Affleck. Never been hit in the feels so hard before
Movie was shit but Michael Clarke Duncan made a damn good Kingpin
This is my favorite scene in the film. Total Alex Maleev moment once the water starts spraying.
