- Photographer James Balog has become one of the foremost chroniclers of human-caused climate change, as his cameras have tracked the dramatic effects - vanishing ice, rising seas, fires, and the toll climate change is taking on all living things. He tells correspondent Ben Tracy that his photos are his testimony, a record of our past and present, and a message for the future.

Balog is a heroic chronicler of of our troubled planet. Stay alive, Jim!
He’s an overly dramatic elitist. Full of crap
Explain yourself.@@bostonphotographer20
What a meaningful film and photographer (human) to still be working on leaving such an important legacy.
I am 68 years old and I've known about and believed that climate change was real. I don't necessarily worry about my own life, but I am terribly concerned about the lives of my children and what I see in the flora and fauna that surrounds me.
I hope you can slow the advancement of your cancer, so you can keep documenting what's going on.
The human effect on Earth isn't something that can be undone or even slowed. It's like driving too fast on black ice.
I see big oil bots are changing their script
@@trickslies844 I hope you're recycling and not using any oil. That'll really help a lot
@@wakygee Yeah because life always binary. You either do everything or nothing at all durrr
@@trickslies844 whatever makes you feel heroic
Do a piece on Lonnie Thompson grandfather of ice core drilling and analysis. A legend featured in the movie Canary. He worked mountain glaciers which were ignored at the time. His wife Ellen specialized inpolar glaciers.
Great job you guys are doing an amazing job
Hey! It's our Ice Park! ❤
Boa noite 🌃 beijos 💋
Go ask the petro chemical companies to pay for it. Not me.
It's easier to ice sculpt than climbing I am positive.
People who aren't being eaten by predators will eventually become environmentalists.
We celebrated the first Earth Day at a special assembly in high school.
Climate has always been changing. Nature has a mind of her own.
Wrong climate has been pretty stable for well over a million years.

That is irrelevant. We can still make impact the climate and that change can still have a negative impact
I do not believe in climate change, but his photography is amazing. It captures everyday events in the circle of life, welll done and I hope he kicks cancer’s rear end too!!!
Such a grift. Look deeper and follow the money. The photographs are indeed stunning, I will give him that.
Bet he flew a big giant plane to get where he was and to get back home again, so, in essence, he was part of the problem.
Exactly
What a false argument from an individual blissfully self ignorant of the science. We have a 72yr old house in a cold climate region. Over 10-15 years we went 100% electric replacing broken appliances etc with better more efficient devices. Heat pump water heater, drier, small solar system, used electric cars, lawn equipment, tools, heat pump furnace. So far we've lowered our emissions by 80,000 pounds. We're not wealthy. We fly when needed. Eat less meat. Buy used when we can. We have a good life yet we've lowered emissions significantly. No one wants to move back into caves mam. Yet there's things that can easily be done that can make a difference. Don't be afraid!
What will you do when the power grid fails?@@BobQuigley

“Easily done.” 😂
@@Seekthetruth3000 Same thing you will do, FA
This earth moans and groans and is fading away. Nothing can change or stop it. Only Christ's second coming, which is nearer than people think, will stop the earth's demise.
TRUMP for PRESIDENT 2024🇺🇸
Climate change has been a topic under environmental issues since the 60s and ramped up in the 70s. Many of us have been consciously working on it since then
