Adding a power winch to a RV toy hauler ramp door. Up and Down with a button? Yup!

This video is how I added a power winch to my Keystone Raptor 300MP toy hauler rear ramp door. After a long day of riding this defiantly help out! not to mention the added security factor. All in was about $100. Thanks for watching! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments.

What did you use to hook the winch to at the door? I cant see it well in the video.
Do you hold it closed with the winch? Ours doesn't close tight at top so i mainly want the winch for that.

Hey! So it’s physically mounted to the frame of the door (around the door). I would not use it close the door. I would stop it about 8 inch from being fully closed then push it shut/lock. It’s a nice security feature as well because you cannot open the door unless you let out the winch.

Thank God I saw your video. It's exactly what I've been wanting to do but wasn't sure if it could work. How has the winch held up? Any problems or issues you could share with me before I attempt to do this? Thank you!!

Hey sorry just saw this message. But everything has held up great! I would maybe make the latch that hooks onto the ramp bigger to help even out the weight. But other then that would recommend! Good luck

What size wire did you run up to the bus bars?

I had some random wire laying around from another job but just make sure whatever you get can handle the amps/distance and you will be fine.
