- This is the official first ride and review of my 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale (#215/1500). The V4 Speciale is absolutely beautiful in it's Tricolore livery and the Akrapovic full titanium exhaust sounds even better! I also discuss how it compares to my 2017 Ducati Panigale 1299 S. Look forward to many motovlogs to come on this amazing bike here in beautiful Tampa, Florida!

Absolute BEAUTIFUL bike!!! This is one of my favorite V4’s!! I agree with what you said about the heat, Ergonomics and sound, I’ve rode a 1299, 959 and the V4S and it was like night and day with the ergonomics and especially the heat! Just an all around smooth motorcycle!

StreetFighter for the Win !!!
So I thought long and hard about the StreetfFighter, but I just can't get over those hideous winglets (BARF!). Looks like the Speciale wins everyday! ;)
That bike and that paint, without the wings...looks incredible.
At speeds I would ride, the wings on the current bikes would have a negligible effect. I guess sometimes I do like form over function.
It's great to hear the heat is reduced.

I can't wait to get my Speciale! I think it's the 2nd best looking Ducati, aside from the V4 Superleggera. The black and red is unbeatable. But the Speciale is a close 2nd in my opinion.

Your transitions between 1st and 2nd with the quickshifter may struggle unless you are higher up in the rev range.
Stunning bike. Superb spec. Great review. Only the V4 Corse looks better... Too much bike for me... Great to hear your 1299 comparisons.

Thanks man! So I debated on the V4 Corse, but the "red" color has an orange-ish tint to it in person. The Speciale is true red. Thanks for commenting!

are you still happy with it, how many Miles did it have on it when you got it
I'm looking into getting a v4, is the heat everyone complains about really that bad? Its not a deal breaker for me if it is though. Also in your opinon is it worth it to go for the v4s electronic suspension because I'm never going to track it
The heat on the V4 is NOTHING compared to the 1299. I own both, and I never ride the 1299 anymore (due to the heat living here in Florida). Don't sell yourself short and get the regular V4. Get the V4S, you won't regret it!
Does the speciale still in production?
No. Most were made in 2018 with the last few being produced in 2019.
FirebladePilot are you planning to change the fairings of speciale to v4r fairings?
Not at all! I think the winglets are hideous and ruin the look of the bike!
