      @@pomplardpanam8591 yeah I agree... for that price... I honestly rather buy a car I won't pay over 15k for a motorcycle... ill wait till the price come down , and which it will plus all the problems will be worked out... not all but majority of them .

      Absolutely. I have several limited edition bikes, one being a 88 Ducati 750 Paso in the blue color….53 made, only 20 sent to the US. When I signed up for my Ducati Owners Club and entered my VIN, corporate actually called me and asked if I’d donate it to their museum. Lol
      So my opinion is if you have the $$ and the foresight, most special editions and first year models will be worth it down the road when most of the others are wadded or parted out. 👍

    That’s a hard question. I own the 2017 1299s as well and the looks you get on a ducati is Priceless. I live in Miami and it’s BMW S1000 town so to have something different is totally worth it.

    Glad your keeping it. I only have 400 miles on the Street Fighter so NOT broken in at all. So far I still prefer the 1299. BUT I think a good pair too own. Panigale R in my future, maybe 2022.

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +3

      Glenn, thanks for commenting as always! Good to hear you at least put some miles on the SF. I know you were waiting forever for it. Interesting that you still prefer the 1299. Is the comfort better on the SF? That R is a beast and should be decently priced by '22. Cheers and ride safe!

    • @Mr100asd

      @@TheDucatiPilot The stock seat on the S.F. is VERY comfortable. BUT I had the comfort seat along with the Akra full system installed before delivery on the 1299 so I was never uncomfortable on it. I like the rawness of the 1299 over the S.F. . The S.F. is forgiving, easier too ride as the Panigale will chew you up and spit you out IF you don't respect it. So far I can't get the front wheel more then 2 ft. of the ground EVEN with the wheelie control on # 1. That might change seeing I have not taken the RPM's any where near the 14,500 red line. I had a serious accident on the 1299 October 15, 3 weeks in the hospital still waiting for parts from Ducati. feel free too call me 914 204 0062 cell # Be safe, NOT like me lol

    I hope i played a part in your decision to keep the Speciale from one Speciale owner/lover to another. Way better than the SP, aside from the all black livery... which arguably, the tri colore is much more iconic and oozes Italy!

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +3

      You at least made me think and reflect on how great and "Special" the Speciale is, lol ;)
      The black SP is "cool", but a lot of bikes come in black nowadays. You are spot on about the tri-colore livery. Cheers!

    Ok. V4 Speciale or the 1299R Final edition? Both with equal low miles

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  6 месяцев назад

      This is a very good question, and I faced a similar dilemma. The main reason I chose the Speciale over the 1299 was the HEAT! It was unbearable to ride here in Florida. I would literally get burned on my right inner thigh from the 1299. This is even after I installed the heat shielding under the seat and side frames of the bike. I test rode the V4, and it was a night and day difference. Don’t get me wrong, the V4 still gets hot, but nothing close to the 1299. You can’t go wrong with either one, but just be warned about the 1299’s heat issues. GL!

    Great video. How would you complete the s1000rr to the 1299?

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +3

      Thank you! So the S1000RR has a smoother power band and is better down low. The 1299 is a raw powered torque monster that runs hot. Both are amazing to ride, just very different. Cheers!

      I sold the Fireblade almost 2 years ago. It was a great bike, but I hardly had time to ride my Ducati, much less 2 bikes. I would keep the Fireblade for now, and save up for a 2015+ S1K for a future purchase. Cheers!
