Many years ago when I was a young kid, my dad uprooted the whole family from England to live in Colorado for several years. My mother's first real experience of living there, so she tells me, was when she decided to walk to a grocery store - as she would always do in England. The difference was that being a mile above sea level in the Denver suburb of Englewood meant that the air was so thin that she couldn't make it back home because she was so out of breath and had to sit down. Then, a passing motorist stopped and asked if she needed help. He gave her a ride up the hill back home (yes, this was a long time ago!).
So her first impression of Colorado, and America by extension, was that the people were some of nicest and kindest she'd ever met. That view was only confirmed again and again over four years. I still miss it :)
I wonder if it's still the same!

There was a Cornish Bait manufacture called "Red Gill" owned and run by a friend of one of my older Cousins, his name is Alex Ingram.
Most of his lures were made of Silicone Rubber a very new thing back in the mid 70s and based in the Common Sand Eel. They were great I caught so many Mackerel, Pollock, and even Sea Bass with them. They were made in the small fishing village of (you may have difficulty pronouncing this) Mevagissey.

Hi Anna and JT. I was amazed to see your adoption. I used to work for Kent Wildlife Trust, and part of my work was to send out these adoptions, so it was a big shock seeing you opening it up on screen. Other species are available including bison.

Spotted Dick is basically a Suet Pudding Desert, In UK past a Pudding was known as a Dog or Dick the spotted part are currents or Raisins, You have to make the Custard separately as it does not come with the pudding

Anna, when I lived in Scotland, a farmer friend of mine bred Highland Cows. They are so cute, especially the babies. fun fact when you lift up their fringe their eyes are round like human eyes and sometimes blue. My friends 6yr old boy has a baby one as a pet, her name is Hairy Hannah.

Seeing Anna get emotional set me off too, only other person who made me emotional was Corey Taylor (from the bands Slipknot & Stone Sour) when he was given an award from Kerrang!

I had a poem published once and have written several other poems. I also started writing a book but have yet to complete it. I also sing and act. I have performed on stage & done presentations in front of large audiences. It just takes someone who is very creative.

When I went to Scotland, I was obsessed with trying to see Highland cattle. For a while I was unsuccessful, so my wife bought me a cuddly toy of a highland cow, which was labelled “cuddly coo”. I named it “Colin”. Colin the cuddly coo! Which mooed!

Congratulations on adopting a highlander Anna. I love watching all your videos and there's a farm near me in oxenhope, in god's own county of Yorkshire, which has highland cows. Plus, I thought this video was going to r rated when JT was talking about the beautiful pudding and custard 😂 keep up the good work guys .... Ps ... Congratulations on your new home 😊
