I like how he goes over 80 vills with no loom because ssacrificing one too early would be wildly inefficient

Why does viper almost NEVER send villagers to wall? The greedy economy play isn't good strategy.

I mean, I guess I appreciate Viper's attempt to not blame his team, but he's taking it too far. Right now it even seems a bit arrogant, as if every time they lose a match it's never because of his teammates but because of him, as if he IS the team. In reality you can clearly see that his teammates are outclassed by the opponents while Viper is holding his own pretty damn well. That's fine, but Viper constantly denying it starts getting a bit annoying. Him saying stuff like he's supposed to hold 1v2 in imperial is just stupid, especially when his own flank did not make a single unit. Yes, Viper made some mistakes, but in the end it really did not matter because he was gonna get overrun within 5 minutes anyway. It's fine not being aggressively pointing fingers to your team, but denying their faults and mistakes just removes any possibility to pinpoint the real issues.

You can see it in RF games as well, he's just too nice of a person to call out bad teammates and even goes out at length of how elo doesn't matter when it clearly does.

He's holding himself accountable. He is supposed to be the best player on the team and made a bad call/mistake. He didn't say his teammates didn't make a mistake if I recall correctly.

@@christophercharba1891 He absolutely did, actually. Taking the full blame and literally saying your team did nothing wrong might seem like a nice thing to do but it's really not. It keeps them from growing better. I used to play DotA2 at a semi-professional level for a few years back in the day (nothing fancy, we never made it, sadly) and I remember this to always be kind of a hard thing to balance out. You don't want to deflect blame by pointing the finger at your teammates, but you also don't want to deflect blame away from your team by taking the full responsibility yourself. It takes humility to both accept your own failings and at the same time accept the fact that you're only 20% of the team (since it's a 5v5 game).
I understand Viper doesn't want his chat to hate on his teammates and he feels some responsibility for the chat's behavior, but again I think he's taking it too far.

@@darkaquatus You think I'm going to listen to a toxic Dota player! Just kidding I used to play. Sorry you guys never made it pro! Tough game.
Fair point. I would have to rewatch. I didn't hear him say his team had no blame. Game three especially I thought they did a good job after the game talking about what could have been done better in particular the Byz player. There are lessons learned on all counts of course, but as the leader and best player, particularly when you make some big mistakes (game two comes to mind) you feel accountable for the loss. Ideally they rewatch these games in private and use them as learning experiences. You make a good point he has to also consider his chat might go harass these other guys as well, I didn't even think of that.

bummer 0-3. fwiw chaos seems kind of below the skill level of others? seemed to be consistently weak. especially that last game. was literally 1v3 for a bit.
