    thanks for another great video. I am currently having a great time with a revised tactic where I have 2 forwards (AF and DF) plus a SS and two wide IWs supported by IWM on support and a RPL in DM spot. Focus is down the middle with underlapping, and the attacking width is set to wide or Very wide. In the league, I am averaging 3 goals a game. But the most interesting result was 9-4 against Salzberg in the Champions League, where my SS scored 4 goals before I took him off on the 60th minute, and the AF scored a hattrick. I did tear a strip off the goalie who had a 5.9 rating for the game and it seems the only touches he had was to pick the ball out of the goal!

    Great video as always, this gives a great understanding about width. The good thing is that you show it on match engine. It’s very different then only trust numbers after match, in my opinion. Great video 🙏🙏⚽️

      I still don't understand what the width settings actually do... He said that narrow would make your player play through the middle more?

    • @Nima2708
      @Nima2708 2 года назад

      @@Napoleonic_S in the build up your wide players will stand wider. You can see that and your wider players getting the ball as they more often.

      What do you mean? With max width your player would stand wider?

    Thank you, I create a tactic 4-2-2-2 Wide where I can exploit this meta to my favor. I learn to adapt this base formation to suit situations such as Counter Park the Bus or Counter Heavy Press from top team like Liverpool. Especially when giving right Opposition Instruction to identity their playmakers and good passers. As the result, I can turn the tide of several away matches from behind by making match adjustments.
    My logic is simple - Pass to space and Dribble more when there are spaces. Pass to feet and Pass more when there is no space and the opponent has high speed team. Lower defensive line and switch BBM Support to CM Defend when the opponent has 2 strikers. In late period of my 1st season, when Team Cohesion is at nearly maximum, it'll be easier to defeat Real Madrid and Man City if I'm lucky enough to neutralize their pass and set pieces.

    Quick Question: Should I team-up IWs with IWBs or would they run into each other at one place?

    • @BusttheNet
      @BusttheNet  2 года назад

      They run into each other so you need to tell the IW to stay wider

    Thanks your video Daljit. Isn't that narrow meta just another way of creating overload there?

  • @nickfury8973
    @nickfury8973 2 года назад

    So if I play narrower, I should focus play down the flanks? If I play wide, I should focus down the middle? Use run with the ball and pass into space together?
    I have been using narrow 4312 with great success in fm22. Scoring 3 and concedes less than 1.

  • @bagaskaragi9735

    So you're implying that the meta should use very fast central player? Either the striker and CMA has to be fast?

  • @ianresc3615

    Thanks for the video. I consider myself a veteran and fairly adapt at understanding roles and instructions. However, width has always eluded me. The more narrow, the more passes you play. Other than that, I could never figure out what would work best under what circumstances. Especially coupled with shorter or more direct passing. It always felt kind of the same to me.
    What would you suggest for a 5-2-3 with an emphasis on creating underlaps to get the BtB players into position? Usually I go with the standard width and slightly more direct passing, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
