    The biggest question we have on the offensive side of the ball is RG an it's not a bad question. I thought all along that steen would start until we picked up mekhi becton. Because he's the kinda player u need to find a way to get him on the field as a starter I really feel like he's that kind of talent

      I think they did good job of getting depth behind Tyler Steen. It’s up to Tyler to be the next guy up for the Stoutland knows how to pick and develop them discussion.

    I love your thinking Steve. 😊 I guess all Steve's think alike. Do you think Smitty is going to be in the slot a lot and possibly even AJ. I know that kid we got from Washington is not physical so but I heard he can run routes with the best of them so he can create space a lot. That's why I think he's going to have a really good year too. Yeah you don't want to be on an island by yourself with AJ Brown not a good place to be. When they want to the middle of the field last year they were one of the best but they just did not do it. I believe this year it's going to be more of Jalen throwing five to nine yard passes and picking teams apart like that. And I believe there's going to be a lot of yak. You are absolutely right about getting the ball spreading it around because both AJ and Smitty had really year but they both did not have big games together they were usually I got a good game then the other guy guy good game. I think or I should say I hope it's going to be more like AJ getting 10 to 12 targets Smitty getting 10 maybe eight targets and then the other kid getting six to seven targets and then just throw it around to the rest I don't know about Dallas Goddard this year He's already hurt. I hope we get 10 to 12 games out of him at least this year I mean the guy gets paid almost a million dollars a game not his fault forgetting hurt I'm not saying that I don't know I think it's time to draft another tight end I believe they should have done it in this year's draft but it is what it is. You are absolutely right Steve they need to spread the ball around Jalen needs to be able to see the field better I think he struggled last year with that

    CeeDee is a great WR he gets in and out of his breaks so quickly. Great footwork
    No one Attacks the ball at its highest point better than AJ Brown. The confidence he plays with is astounding.
    Ironically Hurts has played with both WRs. CeeDee was his WR at Oklahoma

    The theme of your last two videos has been cautioning an over reliance on our top 4 skilled attackers in AJ, Smitty, Dallas and Saquon if we want to make a successful challenge for the ring this year. To that end it was a little bit encouraging to see Johnny Wilson in Jalen Hurts's training camp. I think we can safely say at this stage that Jalen has trust issues with our peripheral receivers so it was good to see a promising rookie in his camp. Sign of growth on our qb's part?

    • @CoachHeitter
      @CoachHeitter  5 месяцев назад +1

      What's up thecockerel! My main point is I'm not 100% sure that these statistical mile stones people are shooting for are a great thing for the overall health of the offense. There could be an extenuating circumstance, a guy or two gets injured, we have to be more focused on a a guy or two now for a stretch, and that leads to the production people are expecting. That could happen, and if guys return from injury for the post season, perhaps it doesn't bite us in the rear as when it matters, we do spread those targets out and become harder to predict where the ball is going. That certainly could happen.
      However, my main point is that I'm not too sure we want AJ or DeVonta getting towards 1,700 receiving yards. I bet if you had truth serum, and you asked Dallas fans if they thought 1,700 yard plus seasons from CeeDee was the way to a Super Bowl, I get the feeling they would say happy for the guy but NO!
      In my opinion, I think we need to find a way of getting that 3rd guy involved more. That 3rd guy should be Dallas Goedert, but Saquon works for me too. We need that 750+ yard receiver to step up, and I do think Dallas Goedert is the natural guy for that role. Then, we need to find another player that can get us close to 500 receiving yards. Could be WR #3, TE#2, Saquon, Kenny G, Will Shipley, etc. The name doesn't matter to me, but we need the threat of production.
      At the end of the day, If this team can produce two 1200-1400 yard receivers, a 1200+ yard rusher, a 750+ yard 3rd receiving target, and another 350-500 yard receiver in the same season, look out! That is a very balanced attack, and with this O-Line, plus Jalen at QB, we would be very tough to defend. I'll take that output over one of my guys getting 1,650+ receiving yards, or one of my getting 1,800 + yards from scrimmage every single time.

      @CoachHeitter  5 месяцев назад +1

      No doubt Antonio! I had him as my 3rd best receiver in that class, behind JJ and Jamar Chase.
      Looking back on it all, the receiving classes between 2019-22 were really good. From AJ, “Hollywood” Brown, D.K., Deebo, Diontae Johnson, Terry McLaurin, CeeDee, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Aiyuk, Michael Pittman, Tee Higgins, Jaylen Waddle, DeVonta, Amon-Ra, Nick Collins, Chris Olave, George Pickens, Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, and Jahan Dotson.
      To be fair, there are more that could be listed, and we selected JJAW and Jalen Reagor. 😂 Thankfully we really righted the ship with DeVonta and AJ.

    They're two different kind of receivers. Ceedee Is a slot receiver and AJ is line them up everywhere receiver throw the ball up and he'll go get it. I like the big physical guy not the finesse guy but I believe to have a great receiving room you need both and we have it. Hey Steve another thing that new receiver we got from Washington I believe he's going to have an awesome year because of the attention that the other two guys draw. He's going to run around with safeties and the third corner and pick them apart I think he's going to have a big year. I believe too that we're going to see Smitty in the slot a lot this year I hope he is because I know the kid from Washington is not real physical where Smitty is I don't know how because he's so little but he is the Batman. Slim Batman he don't take nobody's BS. What do you think about the comment Jalen made about last year Kelsey calling coverage I think it's crazy that they had him doing it both guys were probably very uncomfortable working that way. And I believe this came from Howie the guy who can't stay out of other people's jobs needs to stay in the office and off the field. And people are mad at Jalen and the reason why is because it's the way he was feeling and he told the truth as he knew it. But is the NFL and it's the Eagles how dare you tell the truth look at Nick The guy lies so much he doesn't even know the truth anymore. Howie put the coach instead in a bad spot. Because if we go possibly to the super bowl or NFC championship game you can't fire Nick right. And more than likely we lose Moore. He's not going to stick around if somebody offers him a head coach job and we can't blame him. That's what all young coaches are trying to get to I mean Kellen Moore in both teams that he was with Dallas got rid of them because the head coach wanted to call the place so there was no room for him there and the chargers the head coach got fired and the whole coaching staff went with him out the door. I think Ceedee lamb is good but he's not AJ. I take AJ any day over him He's physical he doesn't run past you he runs through you. You got to be a top end corner to deal with him and you're still getting beat 70% of the time. I think AJ is the second best receiver in the league not saying that because I'm an Eagles fan. Another thing It's Smitty wasn't here last year AJ could have had 2000 yards. I remember when TJ Metcalf was being drafted I wanted him so bad. He was a big physical guy and I remember he had health issues at the time that's why the Eagles did not want him. Well we all make mistakes. 😂😂

    If CeeDee Lamb signed with the Eagles tomorrow - and as long as Jalen Hurts is the quarterback, that’s always a possibility lol - then Eagles fans would flip and tell the world about how awesome CeeDee is, because he’s very awesome. The entire debate is stupid

    • @CoachHeitter
      @CoachHeitter  5 месяцев назад +1

      What's up ClioTheLeo! I agree. Both of these guys are really good receivers, and they're both solidly in that top 10 conversation at the position. I would bet most people wouldn't even push back on a top 5-6 receivers conversation with these two players.
      However, What I think a lot of people are getting wrong, and it's mostly on twitter, is misunderstanding that these two players are aligned very differently. They're asked to do very different things, and until this upcoming season, they played in drastically different schemes. CeeDee has the ability to play on the line of scrimmage, as a X aligned boundary. But, he mostly used as a motion Z, and a slot. With AJ, he has the ability to play as a motion Z, and as a slot receiver. Witth that said, he's primarily used as an isolation player if aligned 3 x 1, or as the guy on the line of scrimmage, mostly towards the boundary, in a 2 x 2 formation.
      Not to mention, I'm not too sure we want AJ or DeVonta getting towards 1,700 receiving yards. I bet if you had truth serum, and you asked Dallas fans if they thought 1,700 yard plus seasons from CeeDee was the way to a Super Bowl, I get the feeling they would say happy for the guy but NO! @@CoachHeitter dont encourage that crap. He is like a taller version of Devonte Smith. AJ Brown??? Not even close. AJ can play anywhere. Lamb has to play slot. That’s why he has more yac than actual air yards. If we had better play calling Devonte smith could easily run short crossing routes and run away from everyone too. We don’t need him. Js.
