i wish we had more markets like this in america, they look like a lot of fun. and i really appreciate the thai lessons, you're a great teacher. i did want to know if you had any tips for remembering tones? that's something i personally really struggle with a lot, and it's part of why i gave up trying to learn mandarin chinese. i don't want to give up on thai though!
Totally, compared to Europe or Asia there are hardly any. In NYC we do have Essex Street Market, but it's so small. Philly does a bit better with Reading Terminal Market. I used to go to one in Columbus when I lived there too.
As a chinese, my suggestion would be do not think about memorising the tones for all the vocabulary you are learning. You just do it by listening more and naturally you will remember it. Just think like a kid never learn tones, but they managed to speak it naturally just becaus of immersion.
@@delishaaqeela8229 the US is such a "young country" (as it is today, not including the pretty much wiped out indigenous cultures) that we unfortunately miss out on a lot of the cool traditional or ancestral things older countries have. It's a bummer.
Yeaah I feel your pain with Chinese It used to be the dream of mine to learn this language, and I actually was trying to during 2-3 months I remember listening to words and even simple syllables trying to discern between the tones, and I was hopeless 😭 I guess only practice can help in this case, like listen A LOT Good luck with learning Thai! I’m also interested in this language, it looks incredibly beautiful, one thing that kinda puts me off - I’m not sure how will I be able to use it and like for what exact purpose
The idea like making vlog videos, but in the middle inserting some Thai vocabulary is a really good idea. I think learning Thai language like this is more interesting, not boring, and can get to know more about Thai culture... by the way, have a nice day~🥰
I appreciate P' perth being knowledgeable on other bl series like he keeps mentioning bl reference for his viewers which is mostly bl fans. because I feel like for some other actors they just act on their series and that's it and they don't really dig deep and try to understand their craft which is the bl/bl industry. So I'm really happy that P' perth know other bl aside from he's part of and he's vocal about sharing it to us.
My heart just skipped a beat as UWMA was mentioned. Such a great series and so are all the series Perth works/worked on. 👏🏾💜 Please keep doing what you do cause you are amazing. Much love and respect. 💜💜💜
i loved this vlog! it was cool to see the teaching outside in real life situations! i actually loved the way voice over perth teached us pronunciation and then putting that to the actual real interaction with the shopkeeperplus the vlog itself and editing was really relaxing 🥺 thanks for everything you do Perth ☀️ ! cant wait for the next one ❤️
This was such a fun one!!! Perfect mix of vlogging, language application and our favorite Perth charm!! Can't wait to see you try the desserts sooon hehe
Heyo thanks for this vlog. Haven't been to TH since covid. Was wondering how it looks like now. The market is really spacious and has much less crowd than I thought it would have. Love it that you actually showed how you use the phrases with the stallholders. Have trust issues with Google translate, I can't tell whether it is formal Thai or informal Thai and if people actually talk like that lol. Was nice to see inserts from ME :D can't wait for ME2.
Thanks Perth! Videos like this are great. Learning about Thai culture/language in little tidbits while also getting see via vlog is really fun and good content!
Thank you for another great video. Traveling to try different foods has always been i dream of mine. Trying something new for the first time is always exciting to me. Those looked delicious, hope you enjoy them. 😁
I just love how easy and straight forward is your teaching, it's really my style, people sometimes see it as simple but is just what is useful and needed. Thank you for taking your time to make this videos~ ♡♡♡
The Thai markets you've visited remembered me of the Mexican markets... Lots of colours, variety and sections. Absolutely loved it, thanks for explaining basic Thai phrases... It will be helpful when travelling there!
It’s a great market. It seems like the sort of place that cooks for wealthy families would shop. The sweets shop also had leum kleun and kanom ko when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I think it’s a good shop to hit early.
I love this one so much, great travel tips, useful Thai language learning! This video totally reminds me how much I miss BKK. Last time I was there was the end of January 2020. I would've bought like a half of Big C if I knew the pandemic is this horrible. 思い出がいっぱい~好きになったバンコク~Thank you, Perth. これからもずっと応援します!
I think we all agree that Perth is the coolest Thai teacher ever. 😁 His videos help me a lot with my Thai studies. ❤ I'm so excited for him to try all these desserts!
Perth we really appreciate you taking time and teaching us Thai and the culture…. You make it really simple to understand and easy to learn!! Keep it going mate✊🏼
Thank you for the Thai lessons and for bringing us around, Perth! I appreciate you and your channel. All four desserts look good. Luk chup is really hard ( for me) and time consuming to make. Once was enough 😅😂 Saw Chor Muang in your haul. Would love to try that in Thailand next time I visit. Looking forward to your next video ❤️
This is the best vlog to get to know more about Thailand - Bangkok, a little of the laguage , habits and so many more. You make it so easy going for us. Thanks a lot for that 😍 And so cool that you are a part of the BL community as an insider 😇
i don’t understand the lack of marriage proposals on Perth’s videos? if i saw him at a fan meet i would just constantly shout “MARRY ME MY POKÉMON MASTER!” like he’s literally the perfect man.
It's nice to see you're carving a niche here P'Perth. In the coming months, there will be a burst of BL-tourism in Thailand. International BL fans will be flocking to Bangkok and Thailand in general. Your videos are giving us great ideas of where to head out to get a taste and feel the Thai BL world we love so much. More videos like this na khrap...!
Perth, I liked this video! It had elements that grabbed my attention. Looking for the desserts from Until We Meet Again was the hook and then shooting outside and showing some of the city is always fascinating to me. Thanks for this quick but interesting video!
This was amazing, Perth! Please take us with you to visit Bangkok again, it could be a series in which you teach us some of the city, some language, some culture! I loved the outside vlog! I especially liked that you taught us how to say something and then we got the irl example! It's a nice way to learn some language! I'm looking forward to the next video, I'm already craving thai desserts! Keep up the good work!
Wow! This is what interests me since I watched the UWMA. It is amazing that Perth 君 understands BL fans' feelings all the time. And your English is very comfortable to listen to. I want you to invite Bible and/or Jeff to your channel one day and chat in English💕
I have seen the until we meet again series and thought the desserts from it looks amazing so its cool to see you buy them I'm excited to see what they're like ☺
Just found your channel from my recommend videos and glad I found you. Love the room aestetic with all the plushies and also kind of jealous. Love the video bro ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to shoot a vlog outside, can't wait for the next part. Also, the soft way you speak makes it seem easy on how to speak thai ☺️ Pd: loving you job in CP and KP 💕 Thank you for all your hard work 🌹🤗
Thanks for sharing a common activity - you make a fun guide and the language lessons are useful, too. Still trying to find pink milk to experience - it's not a common treat in Boston!
UWMA is my favorite BL series and also my first. I've wondered about these desserts ever since I first watched it. Can't wait to see you try them out. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the refreshing content! To get a feeling about Bangkoks subway, market(s), surroundings... and even getting some hints about how to communicate is great! So if you would do more of this content I'd highly appreciate that 🤗 Oh, addition: Could you maybe add the list of desserts (Thai writing and transcript) in your notes? 😇
you inspire me so much to learn Thai language and the culture with these kind of videos thank you so much! I have already studying a little bit on my own but maybe I'll start taking it more seriously 😍
The one thing I regret is I haven't tried Thai dessert as many as I want when I went there some years ago. 😅 I really hope one day I will be back to hunt down all these desserts. Thank you Perth for your vlog. 😊😁🙏
Thank you for the very useful phrases ! Hope to try them out in Thailand next month. And I'm looking forward to the video explaining what the desserts are, so I can look for the ones that appeal to me 😀
Your vlogs are so clean and straightforward (ha). Thank you for continuing to delve deep into BL for us. I know it's your genre for work, but do you actually watch other BL as part of research or to size up the competition or to see some friends' shows? I mean, did you know about the UWMA dessert thing, or was it just something you found when thinking what your subs would want to know more about?
I loved seeing the thai market! I was really surprised to find how similar it looks to ones we have in Mexico :0 I can't wait for the Thai dessert video :D
