Good video as usual, love how often these are being churned out. The 80 feet bowl I purchased while I was there is working so much better for me with Tangiers. Whole new experience.
Thanks for showing us these two different methods. I usually pack my tang bowls dense and to about the rim but I dont do the foil test. I know JoeyD does the foil test when he packs his bowls. I will have to try that tonight when I go to his lounge. I will try a dense pack but with the foil test. Thanks again for sharing HJ! -BK
I'm going to get one of your 80 feet bowls. Your Cubettes are fantastic. Unfortunately I gave up on Tangiers months ago. I have tried every packing method out there, foil with large holes, small holes. Lotus, Odimun, Apple on top. I cough my head off. Too bad, I really like Tangiers. I think I will try your method.

John - I think 'fluffy loose' method gives the tobacco more ventilation and you do not waste it. Try to show what's left in the bowl after 1-1.5hr smoking... I bet you have a lot of fresh tobacco at the bottom.
I bought a hookah last week and after using tin foil a few times I thought that was pretty obvious to use a tin can however, I did not make the handle. that's a great idea!
Dude I’ve put it to the test..Like for a couple months,,I found that Tangiers smokes easier and less finicky when packed the way you do,,The Tangiers way works better with the large bowls but,With the smaller bowls I found that a less dense pack or the way you pack is best..
I used your titanium cube coal for the first time today and they where great, best coals I've ever used.Did not burn my tobacco at all. It's just a shame that we can't buy them here in the uk 😒
+marina agathangelou Hello! I live in Bulgaria. I smoke Al Fakher Shisha - mohito, grapes, menta with cream, cherry. But I prepare my hookah and bowl very different way for perfect taste.
hello john would like you to do video with Portuguese translation because the Brazilians are big fam of Tangiers and john, and people talk a bit of production of Tangiers translated into Portuguese obg.
The thing is the bowl with overpacked tangiers method you're not using the japanese silver coals since they produce less heat than the coconut coals..That's why it was harsh and throaty. Use the flavor saver if you're using coconut coals.. Like you said "it could be better.."
John, The first bowl was 130 gram, the second green bowl was 138 so the second bowl was 8 grams less because of the difference when you zero it out. Jasper
Love your videos HookahJohn, have you ever thought of doing a more scripted video instead of these vlog style videos? Maybe a tripod? I only mention this because it seems that you are not happy with the videos you create. Never a failure if you learn from the experience.
I enjoy the way he does his videos.. it makes me laugh at some things which makes me continue watching.. also to see new products and things like this. i'm actually surprised at how much he cared about the packing method and results here. I was expecting "it works, it smokes. the end".

Hi, how did you get hold of titanium coal I am from London. We don't have access to anything from hookah john
Use HMS for start if you want overpacks
Nice
Over packing the bowl MIGHT be an effort at selling more product just because you can kinda get away with it with Tangiers, but idk...

This is one of my favorite bowls
