Experienced hookah smokers will not need this...unless they just love/hate HookahJohn.
We will be discussing how to set up a basic hookah, tobacco brands, and some accessories. This will help some of those new to hookah to get started.

The hookah I use is 173 years old and it came from an antique shop in Cairo. The base is hand blown glass with designs hand painted in authentic 18K gold paint and the shaft is a heavy gauge chrome plated brass with the chrome plating rubbing off in several places from typical use which is one way of knowing you have a vintage Egyptian hookah or shisha, as it is known in Egypt. I have all documentation on it to verify its authenticity and all I've ever needed for it is a new Barnish every couple of years. You can't beat a true classic hookah. I'm actually thinking of perhaps buying a new hookah and retiring this one as just a memento so it doesn't get damaged. Great video John.
Currently 15 and not smoking hookah but I could definetely help my nephew out with setting this thing up (he didn't know how to, it was just sitting there in the attic). Now he used it for a party. Thanks dude!

Hey bro. I've seen lots of your videos and I'm a huge fan. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
Does changing the hose effect the flavor or not? Should the girth and length of a hose be chosen according to the size of the hookah or not?
lol thats what im doing with my hookahs xD john damn i put tape on the KM Stems and add the vase gromet and i make sure its tight but not to hard to open i put like 2 to 3 layers round and round of tape!(2 to 3 cause the tape has thin layers!) ;)

im not going to act like i have smoked hookah forever but i will say one thing that i would recommend to someone who really thinks they are going to smoke a lot is the kaloud lotus being able to throw your coals on and not worry is great

i like using egyptian bowls i have 50 pieces xD i use them each one for different flavours Alfakher always! and some bowls for mixes! im dying to try the titanium coals i will order some from ur website soon cause i have tried many coconut coals and thats the only one i havent tried yet :P

Ive always wondered about things i should know. Been smoking (non religiously for about 5 years) and i still dont understand things like: how to get thick smoke? Whats the different between hoses/bowls. Does using juice instead of water really make a difference? Whats the "right" amount of coals? Ive always found it to be 2 coconut coals are good, anymore and the smoke starts to bite very quick. If you could make a beginner/intermediate video that would be great!

I'm surprised that you don't carry CocoNara. That was the go-to brand of coals when I started smoking hookah, and is the brand I still use.

Here in Poland everything is such expensive that i had to made my own hookah from a bottle, use usual bowl and pay about 8h of job to get tobacoo -.- U can't imagine how hard it is to smoke hookah in Poland. Most of those items i see for the 1st time altough i smoke for about 1 year

That's just weed/regular cigs. Hookah is a lot different, sounds like you don't know a thing about it. It doesn't have any tar as far as I know, only the glycerin vaporizes and a bit of the tobacco as well. No added amount of THC. So your statement is bullshit unless you're talking about weed/regular cigarettes.
