Hi, paul you should take a look at the QCY Ht05,t13,t17,t5 its a cheap Chinese earphone brand (just like the ones we are used to) but is not that well known in india. I have seen these tws's popup on top budget tws list's of foreign youtubers but cant seem to be able to figure out where they stand in the spectrum of the indian tws market. The HT05's have 10mm graphene drivers and are priced at 3.4k . I would like to see how these compare to the oppo enco air 2 pros and other tws's available in the indian market. And great work as always in these videos, i like how you dont obsess over the BASS like almost all the other indian youtubers and give actual insight on how products sound. :) Keep it up
You're the second person telling me about QCY. I'll have a look at what they're all about. 3-4k seems to have interesting products in this price range.
Go for the Wave Beam over the Tune 230nc. The 230nc are a little better in almost every way. Except for the fact that the 230nc have horrible quality control, I went through two pairs. First one had issues charging and the second one would randomly turn on inside the charging case lol. The Wave Beam however have been perfect, no complaints for the price.
BEWARE the Tune 230NC earbud charging issues are a real thing. I've returned 3 pairs now that were under warranty. I asked the manufacturer to give me a different model. I just received the Tune Beam. I'm hopeful this issue won't arise. Great review!
You're the second person to mention having your 230 replaced in the last two days. Did they replace your units without any issues? I've had many people leave comments saying that the service centers only agreed to clean their earphones and send them back with the same unit. It's not a long-term solution and ideally should be replaced.
@@PaulsPOV My experience was actually pretty good. I called the manufacturer and went over a variety of troubleshooting tests. Once it was deemed defective they provided me a shipping label and I received my new pair within a week. As you'd imagine after the 2nd time I was a bit frustrated. The rep that was dealing with me said that this is a known issue for this model and he was ensured I would receive a replacement model of the same or greater value. So far so good with the Tune Beam
Hi, I would also like to know how are you liking your Tune Beam and where did you buy your JBL 230NC from? Amazon? Or some other online platform or offline?
@@PaulsPOV only one thing I disliked about the jbl app is the gesture control are not customisable, if JBL does this then it's a cherry on cake. It has some set of gesture control predefined , making user select either of the one control only rather than making a user Based gesture mixup.

I believe I have the same issue, yes Paul there's a really realllly small gap due to which theres a squeezing effect when we just hold the case in our palm. The left part of my case closes 100% and doesn't have the squeezing problem, but the right part is not completely closed, I'd say that it closes 99%, but because of the 1% it squeezes. Its really minute, but its there. I believe the person who commented is facing the same problem and just forgot to reply back
Could you please review the Soundcore liberty air 2 pro. Price of this bud hits a bottom of 6k on sales days . Since it is almost 3 year old, I'm a bit skeptical on a purchase. Your opinion can be of guidance.
Between these two, sound wise, the 230NC is certainly superior. It's bigger sounding, better detailed, and slightly better at staging. The oppo is a very nice set of earphones in the price range it sits. I prefer it to the realme Buds Air 3 and even the oneplus Buds Z2 because it sounds more natural than those two. Feature wise, the one thing that sets the oppo apart is its multi device pairing, which is quite neat. When it comes to the call quality between these two... I wouldn't want to give my opinion about it, I'd rather you decide. Hi Paul, I've heard that The successor of the 230nc is going to release this month on 21st June. Unfortunately, i just got to know this today but i just got the 230nc 3 days ago from cromā as a birthday gift from my dad. I believe that i can get it returned exactly till 21st as there is a 7 day return policy. Also, in your 3 month review of the 230nc, you said that after months of usage your model case lid stopped closing even though it dosen't really affect the charging or anything, i've somehow got the same problem out of the box, it isn't really much of a problem, but the squeezing effect makes the experience a bit cheaper. Also within 2 days my case has started getting glossy patches even tho i haven't used it too roughly. The only thing I've done till now is taking it to college and back home in my pocket (with nothing else in the pocket, just the case). Other than that there's no other problems with my model. Please could you suggest me whether i should return it and get the money back and get the new tune beam (it's rumored to release either at 7.5k or maybe even 5.5k), or should i just replace it and get a model in which there wont be any lid problem, or should i just keep this one as the lid problem isnt really a deal breaker. Sorry for such a long comment😅 but i'd really appreciate to know your views
Apart from the lid issue, which is quite minor for me, I've had quite a few people mention in the comments that one of the earbuds stops charging with the 230NC. It seems to be a manufacturing issue. I'd say upgrading to the newer model might be the better thing to do to avoid any inconvenience in the long run.
hello sir..I'm confused between oppo enco air 2 pro,Oneplus z2 and jbl 230 nc..my priorities are good sound quality, low latency for videos, good battery(minimum 5 hrs on buds) and good mic quality during calls..Please suggest..Thanks
From my experience with these. The JBL 230NC doesn't have good low latency, so rule that out. Between the oppo and Z2, the Z2 sounds much larger and has a terrific bass response. The latency between the two is quite similar, oppo at 80ms and Z2 at 93ms. It's not enough to tell a difference, really and when it comes to their battery life. They should be able to give you 5hrs of use with ANC on when they're new. Battery consumption will also depend on your volume levels. I'd say the Z2 should give you a little more value with its bigger and heavier sound. It'll be more fun to listen to for music, games and movies.
I haven't faced connectivity issues with these and iOS devices. The 230NC has been known to have some charging issues. Consider the JBL Tune Beam instead. It's a nice upgrade from the 230.

OnePlus has been replacing Z2 units that have this issue without a problem. Initially, there was some resistance, but I think it's become a common issue. Having said that, the frequency of people telling me about them having this issue has dropped drastically in the last 2-3months. So it's possible that OP has resolved this issue. I know the segments are different but how do Jbl tune 230nc and Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 stand against each other...as the prices are almost same right now
I'm not too sure about there being a specific driver for Windows 10, but ideally, it should just work as a Bluetooth accessory when connected via Bluetooth.
Between these three, the 230NC has the best mic performance and bass response. But if you can stretch your budget a bit more, consider the JBL Tune Beam.
@@PaulsPOV i have sony wired earphones which are nice but when connected to the front headphone jack of pc the mic does not work..the sound is nice but mic does not work..any suggestions how to fix it..
Oh, its possible your PCs port is only a headphone out and not headphone out + mic input. You should be able to get a splitter for this and connect the mic section to the mic input. It should sort this out.
Sadly, I haven't tested the Samsung buds 2 yet, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. But I've heard good things about the Samsung from a majority of people. I think it's safe to say they both shouldn't be disappointing since they're both owned and most likely been tuned by the Harman group.
When the Nothing Ear1 was available below 6k I found it to be the best at handling ANC. Now, from the few I've tested, the Realme Buds Air 3 are quite good for ANC. However, if you plan on using it for phone calls, your recipient isn't going to hear you too clearly with them.
Hi Brother, much detailed review. many thanks, just yesterday JBL came up with Tune Buds and Beam along with Flex, can you please compare the three and help in finding the right pair of TWS? Appreciate your effort and work. :)
I have been using the tune 230 nc for 1 year and since then 8 hours listening they promised , the left ear i can use it for 1 hour, while the right ear i can use it for less than 40 minutes. In the long term , it is not the best to use it many times.
I haven't tested too many earphones in this range, but the Wave Buds I found to be great value for money. If you're looking for ANC, I found the Costar Diamonds to he great value for money too. If you're willing to stretch a bit more, the Oppo enco air 2 pro and Realme Buds Air 3 are nice sets to own. I've got reviews on all these products if you'd like to see them. Hope this helps.
Of the few I've tested, I quite liked the KZ ZSN Pro X, Salnotes Zero and Tangzu Waner. All are quite good for their price and have different flavours in the way they sound. Feel free to give my reviews on them a look. If sound is your priority, you'll certainly prefer any of these over TWS earphones.
Ideally, a product shouldn't need this kind of intervention from a user. JBL has been offering replacements for the 230NC as well as upgrade options to the Tune Beam or other models. The difference will have to be paid, of course.
The efforts you put into your videos are really underappreciated...
I hope your channel blows up.

When the Nothing Ear1 was available below 6k I found it to be the best at handling ANC. Now, from the few I've tested, the Realme Buds Air 3 are quite good for ANC. However, if you plan on using it for phone calls, your recipient isn't going to hear you too clearly with them.
Which better
Dude I have the jbl wave beams, bass goes hard. Nuff said
Bro....can you review the Oppo enco air 3?
I don't have any plans to review it just yet.
Hi Brother, much detailed review. many thanks, just yesterday JBL came up with Tune Buds and Beam along with Flex, can you please compare the three and help in finding the right pair of TWS? Appreciate your effort and work. :)
I'll try and get my hands on them for reviews.
I have been using the tune 230 nc for 1 year and since then 8 hours listening they promised , the left ear i can use it for 1 hour, while the right ear i can use it for less than 40 minutes. In the long term , it is not the best to use it many times.
My left earbud can barely last 30 mins, but my right one can last 5 hrs still
Could you suggest some of the best tws under 2000-3000
I haven't tested too many earphones in this range, but the Wave Buds I found to be great value for money.
@@PaulsPOV what about iems under 2000
Of the few I've tested, I quite liked the KZ ZSN Pro X, Salnotes Zero and Tangzu Waner. All are quite good for their price and have different flavours in the way they sound. Feel free to give my reviews on them a look. If sound is your priority, you'll certainly prefer any of these over TWS earphones.
Is Nothing ear 1 better than jbl 230nc?
I didn't think so. Here's my comparison between them 👇🏼

@@PaulsPOV thnx
thanks bro
For everyone who has problem with charging: just clear the brass connection dots on the earbuds
Dude no!
We've done all such stuff already man.
I appreciate you helping out but it's the 230 at fault .
Ideally, a product shouldn't need this kind of intervention from a user. JBL has been offering replacements for the 230NC as well as upgrade options to the Tune Beam or other models. The difference will have to be paid, of course.
@@PaulsPOV brands like realme offer similar model upgrades but without us having to bear the cost
Oh really? That's pretty good customer service!
@@PaulsPOV indeed, the way it should be done, CS.
Very helpful
