Kids WB debuted on September 9th, 1995, which is the same day as the original PlayStation console launch date. The next day, The WB expanded to Sunday nights on September 10th, 1995 as The WB Sunday Night. Also that same day, my WB affiliate WPHL-TV in Philadelphia changed it's name from PHL 17 to WB17, and Doug Paul primarily became the station's voiceover until late August 1997. These change comes after KYW-TV and WCAU-TV made the big switch in the Philadelphia area on an early Sunday morning at 1AM Eastern EDT, with Channel 3 became a CBS affiliate, and Channel 10 became an NBC affiliate as NBC 10. From September 10th, 1995 to September 18th, 2000, this first WB17 logo features the red circle with a black outline, the WB logo in yellow, and the number 17 in white color, which was placed in front of the red circle.

Yes Kids WB launched on September 9,1995 the same day the PlayStation was released. WB Affiliates KDAF-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth and WATL in Atlanta would air Kids WB Saturday morning block on Sundays since they carried FOX Kids Programming due to the fact that WATL and KDAF were former FOX Affiliates and when the big switch happened because of longtime CBS Affiliates KDFW and WAGA switched to FOX while independents Gaylord owned KTVT and then tribune owned WGNX (now Meredith owned WGCL) were originally to take The WB affiliation before the big switch happened ended up becoming CBS Affiliates, shortly after switching to FOX both KDFW and WAGA turned down FOX Kids Programming. The National WGN-TV carried Kids WB and aired it’s weekday block Mon-Fri and Saturday morning programming on Sundays. In Chicago Kids WB programming aired on WCIU since WGN-TV the Chicago’s WB Affiliate aired morning newscast and their afternoon sitcom. On September 20,1995 KHTV 39 here in Houston becomes a WB Affiliate, two days after Tribune bought the station from Gaylord. And this is the honest truth what I’m saying

@@TracyGJacksonTV Tribune Broadcasting purchased WPHL-TV back in 1991, before it becomes The WB affiliate 4 years later in January 1995. I forgot to mentioned that CBS entered the long-term agreement with Westinghouse back in July 1994. KYW-TV later became the CBS O&O station in December 1995 three months after it became the CBS affiliate in September 1995. One year later, The Walt Disney Company purchased Capitol Cities/ABC, and WPVI-TV in February 1996. As of March 1996, Disney is now the ABC, and WPVI's parent company.

Cameron Mathis yes they did, Tribune would also purchase Renaissance Communications in July 1996 and it was completed in March 1997 shortly after 2 WB Affiliates KDAF in Dallas/Fort Worth and WDZL in Miami/Fort Lauderdale along with 4 FOX Affiliates WTIC New Haven/Hartford, WXIN Indianapolis, KTXL Sacramento and WPMT Harrisburg became Tribune owned stations, Tribune also acquired Qwest Broadcasting in November 1999 which they owned 33% of it

For anybody asking themselves "What are Jim Caviezel, Timothy Olyphant and Sterling Macer Jr. doing there?" I guess it had to do with an unaired pilot remake of "77 Sunset Strip" which was going to be produced by Clint Eastwood but he quit days before filming began.

The 77 sunset strip remake was announced by The WB when the network announced programming for the 1995-1996 Television Season but didn’t see the light of day when Clint Eastwood quit before filming began.
