- Lets get a close look at the birthplace of blues where many greats are from and memories were made. They still create memories with bands, great food and community. Clarksdale Mississippi is a sight to see, it gives you a NEW perspective - you may or may not want to share (at least for me) but was a nice trip. Check the video for the sights! Thanks for stopping by.

Clarksdale Ms here 🙋🏾♀️.I was born and raised here 42 years. Actually, I still live here the city will never change " they want it to look this way" because it brings in tourism and interest to our small town😢..its still home tho ❤
I grew up there. Left when I was 12 years old. I lived at 545 Sunflower street. I didn't know Ike Turner that well because he was much older than I was, but my mother gave him some music lessons. I knew his little brother and his sister Ethel very well because we were around the same age. When my family moved to St. Louis MO. They also moved there shortly there after. As a matter of fact, I moved to San Diego in 1973 and Ike also moved there too. I have been back to Clarksdale only once. The first thing I did was to look for my old house which was not far from the "Riverton Bridge" on Sunflower street but it had been torn down. I will always remember when I first got to Clarksdale, I called the only friend I knew that still lived there and asked him was my house still standing? His reply was: we didn't know how it was still standing when you all were living in it".
I love hearing and seeing those flocks of birds migrating through on their way to me in northern ontario. The cold will soon be over
My mother was born in Clarksdale MS 1926. I visited there in the early 90s. Actually saw the tin roof shack she was born in. There were 13 of them. Sad history.
My mother was also born there in 1926, she left in the early 1940's
Grew up in Clarksdale. Moved away at a young age, but always went back to visit my family. Love the blues. Don't listen to nothing but the blues. Tyrone Davis was from Shelby, Ms. right down the streets from Clarksdale. Morgan Freeman has a club there now called Ground Zero and has had it for some years now. Still have friends and In-Laws living there.
Love keep bringing them. My family is from Mississippi. This is personal
Lived and worked here 1969-1981. Shack up Inn houses same as the ones we lived in rural Coahoma county.
Rode Greyhound when I left there in 1981. My father was a well know gospel singer that recorded on the radio with Early Wright.
Clarksdale MS is a very interesting place to live! Entertainment is great! Several shopping centers...Cleveland MS ( 35 miles from Clarksdale MS) is also a very interesting place to live as well
Girl you better get out of there an definitely have that fire stick
I'm from Tallhatchie, Mississippi, but we stayed in clackdale, but I still have family living in clackdale, Mississippi. I love my blues like zz Hill Tyrone davis b b king. I was raised off all of that, including the new upcoming Blues singers like King George.
Love the Channel. My wife is from Lambert, MS.

I love the old time blues artists. I like John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Howlin' Wolf, Slim Harpo, Elmore James. I have their music on several of my playlists.
I've heard of the Shack-Up Inn. It's well known by a lot of people who are followers of the Blues music and it's history in Mississippi, which is where so many of the blues singers came from. I bet whenever there's a blues artist or a blues festival nearby, that hotel fills up.
♥♥♥
WOW
the only place in America i would wanna go to,my fav Bluesman= John Lee Hooker
A nice small town and love the beautiful murals but I would not live there because it's not far enough south and close to the Gulf Coast for me.
Thanks!
@jamesgivens3415 Thank you very much!! 🎉😊 Really appreciate it.
Clarksdale Miss here! 😂 I got pregnant and moved away and didn’t turn back 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 my aunt and my mom and brother are the only ones that still stay in clarksdale. I see they have made some changes there.
If you missed Shipleys Donuts, you missed the best thing about Clarksdale.
The Cross Road is in Clarksdale where John Lee Hooker met with the devil....
I thought that I would see more trees in Mississippi.
There are more to see in the summer, I wish I had started making Mississippi videos in the summer - when things are more lively.
There are more down my way in the Pine Belt
Hey Lee Lee , come back on the 4th of July.🤣🤣🤣
Where are the people?
Wonder what the building cod here is
The Underground Morgan Freeman
When you go to these towns interested in the grocery and gas situation some if these towns have nothing nit even medical facilities
Weird place. I took my ole lady. We got spooked and drove back to Jackson. Looks like the Democratic Republic of Lao.
Living just across border .
Always want to see rural, this is rural.
Looks 1930's . They need tourist to rejuvenate this community.
Paint would help. Just drab.
C'dale can be a very dangerous town, Once a real estate agent didn't want to go there to show me a nice house!!! I want you to go to Helena-West Helena, AR but it's dangerous too. Just go in daytime (still dangerous) and stay on the main roads (still dangerous) . Governments now do everything except what we put them in power to do i. e. protect people and property.
Where are all the people at like ur in a series of the twilite zone lol .
Morgan Freeman is from there as well.
MEET THE NEW SOUTH- SAME AS THE NEW SOUTH- SAD

I love Mississippi but, Clarksdale is a horrible place. The gangs, Thugs, Raggedy houses. It's just a mess! I remember I was there with a local and we had to hit the ground. Pure pow, pow and more pows🤦🏿♀️ Please visit Greenville or Indianola.
