- As of November 2023, London North Western Railway retired there Class 319 EMU's, which were built by BREL York (British Rail Engineering Limited) between 1987 and 1990.
They were operated by Thameslink between Bedford and Brighton from 1987 to 2017, and then replaced by Class 700 EMU's. The Class 319s then headed to Northen Rail, and London Midland. When LNWR took over from London Midland, they used them on peak time services.
They were my favourite trains to see, as they were different than the normal LNWR Class 350s, especially to see and old British Rail EMU on a nice evening.
This video features every single clip of a LNWR Class 319 I have.
