Hi Henry. Which model ipad would you recommend for an architect? I don't have a tablet at the moment. I want to get into drawing digitally. Also, as I am not using a tablet at the moment and I'm struggling with the thought of spending so much money on something that I am not sure will really help with my productivity. What is your thoughts on this? Is it worth the cost?
Hi Liezl, thanks so much for taking the time to ask this question! I can only respond with my personal experience. I think there are so many benefits by incorporating and iPad into your daily workflow, from sketching, to reading drawings in the field, and semi-computing (with a keyboard). It is absolutely worth it for me as a designer as it significantly elevates my own productivity, especially in drawing. Yes I agree it is a significant investment at first. I do have another video on how to pick an iPad for architect. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/87W44vvJjMw/видео.html My recommendation for a cost-effective option is to buy it used. For example, the first generation iPad Pro 12.9" is still plenty powerful and can be bought with significant discount. There are also other models to consider as well.
