@@davemorgan9532 thank you I found it and just replace all four to be safe but that one was toast . Just learned we have 2 heater cores on it one in the front and back trying to figure out how to flush it
What if we driver side is blowing cold air when I up the temp to 90? Passenger is blowing hot air but not driver side. Just replaced the actuator on passenger side as well
Larry, the ac/heat is not working on the passenger side of our 2013 flex. if I'm researching this correctly, there is an actuator behind the glove box for passenger side. Am I going in the right direction? thanks
I believe the rear vents are controlled by the aux A/c. I am replacing my resistor and have ordered a new blower motor for it as the old one pretty much exploded when the new resistor was connected. note to self power off the vehicle. lol All of that is on the driver side on the wall behind all that trim from the second row back. fairly straight forward once all that paneling is off. cross fingers hoping a new blower will fix it. it was running in reverse.
I've got a 2011 Flex floor mat special we bought new. I have no air or heat coming out of ANY vents, but I hear the blower motor running.. Could this be the same part possibly? Thank you. Very informative video.
If you are getting no air at all to blow from any of the vents then "no" the blend door actuators wont cause this. If "NO" air is blowing you should first check fuses and then move onto checking the blower.
@@TheImNetworks I have a 2009 ford flex. When I turn on the a/c only on the drive side I receive hot air blowing to my face. I look under the driver side and I show to actuators one on the bottom and one on top .wich on ai have to replace ?
hey Larry I am at this point having this same issue but Im not understanding how to take apart the part that is blocking from me getting to go actuator? How do I take it off?
Alejandra there should be nothing to remove to get the actuator out. Both screws can be removed without removing other parts. Even the ones behind the glove box can be removed without removing other parts, they just take a little time and flexible ratchet extension.
Sorry for the late reply. When you flip down the glove box you will see the circulation blend door actuator right in front of you. The passenger side actuator is just to the left of this and you will only see the lower corner and one screw behind a black wire harness box. To get to the second screw (back Screw) it can be done using a small ratchet with a flex shaft. The black wire harness pox can be pushed back enough to get the flex shaft and socket on the screw between the black box and the blower housing.
What about the 05 model please I need help my car is doing that and it won't move the air to the wi dow to so it bad hot air on driver side and window plus wont move to the feet to so arw they in the same spot
The drivers side blend door actuator is located up and to the right of the gas pedal as shown in the video. The second is located behind the glove box and to the left of the recirculation door actuator. When you look to the left of the circulation blend door actuator you can see the bottom of the passenger side actuator sticking out from below a black box. The screw on the back side of this one is a bit tricky to remove and install but can be done with a ratchet and a flex shaft. The third and is the first one everybody finds is the circulation blend door actuator that is directly behind the glove box and hardly ever goes bad (thats why its easy to get too)
my car the radio is on input and i can not change to anything else. Also, i cant turn on the heat. you can feel the heat when you are driving still coming out the vent slightly. However, the heat blows out the back. what is the problem? something did hit the console that could have caused the stop of controlling. CANCEL COMMENT
This video helped me locate the driver's side blendoor actuator on my 2013 Ford Edge Limited. Nice to know I won't need to send it to Ford.
excellent job showing the location. Dealers want$1500 dollars labor to replace them.
Thanks for this video.. helped me better than the other ones I saw
There is a 4th one that controls where the air blows out from. It's up by the gauge cluster
Where exactly is the fourth one and what's its purpose
And that one is a biatch to reach!..
@@jonathanschmidt417 The 4th on is call the A/C Mode Door actuator. It directs air to the various vents (defrost, floor, mid-dash)

We are having issues with no heat in our ford flex, when we stop driving, any ideas? We just don’t know what could be causing that.
Hi, do you know which blend door actuator controls the over head vents for the back seat passengers?
Same question, any input ?

In your experience, is this the reason why only the passenger side blows cold air at me and not the driver's side?
other than the rear?

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever get it fixed
With this unit prevent air from blowing out of the vents when heating and air-conditioning unit is on.

scottks6sd yes the Flex should all be in the same areas. We have another video that shows the location of all them
How bout when air comes out of the floor and defrost but none in your face?
Larry, you said all 3 are easy to get too. I got 2 o them. Care to share on # 3. The one on driver side wayyyy up there?

@@TheImNetworks does the 2nd you just described for the air and heat in the 3rd row? I'm only getting cold air back there this winter.
