You can't win with a narrcisst, because you'll be wrong no matter what you say or do. My father would always say," Why didn't you do this?" or " You should've done that." My mother was no better. They wondered why their kids got so angry because they asked too many questions because we very rarely volunteered personal information because they always had to be so negative, critical or gave advice that would benefit them only. Or projected their own faults and insecurities onto us because they resented that their kids turned out to be the total opposite of them.
Whatever you do or don't do. You're gonna fall short. $10,000,000 isn't gonna cut it.
I actually agreed with them and they still told me I was wrong. 😂🤯
Yup, they asked for my help.... Then attacked me for trying to help them.
Makes ZERO sense.
Makes a lot of sense now that you have explained it in a clear manner. Helping them makes them feel pathetic. Best to let them go. Gray rock and ignore.
I've heard it said don't take it personal. But if someone wants to hurt you and like doing it then it seems personal. But you have good insights

Taking this stuff personally is going to ruin your day. Im not an expert but I can relate with this because Ive dealt with it. The sooner you brush aside their comments the sooner they pick another way to strike at you. Don’t let it ruin your day!

Mine criticised me so much this April and May that my doctor suggested I get signed off work for mental health.
I took a week off then blocked him on everything.
Two months on, started getting bombarded with messages (blocked folder and voicemail) about how much he loves and misses me.
He had to take time off work for depression, stopped going to the gym and started using drugs regularly. Started walking by my house and lives nowhere near.
In contrast, the past two months of no contact were so calm and happy for me.

Mine says his life is peaceful when i dont contact him😢
Me 3 month of no contact and so calm and releved, they are made you realy sick
I remember I had to go to the corner store to get something and I asked if he needed anything, he said to buy him I've cream but in a certain flavor but if they didn't have it don't get him anything. Well my mistake was to still get him ice cream even though they didn't have the exact flavor he wanted and he raged at me. The next day he ate it. Yep can never win

After I found out he cheat at me. I cook and everyone eat. But after he eat he have diarrhea and he say I put something in his food !!!
Next time I cook I say: food it’s ready go and make your own plate 😂 and he say to me: wow you see that is why I cheat because you are not same with me anymore you don’t love me anymore and blah blah blah . 😂😂😂😂
My ex told me the same that i put smth in his plate😢......i always was blamed, no matter how hard i tried my best, so nasty😢

I'm going through a divorce with a narc. In the early phases, she was mad at me. Normally we would go for a bike ride on a Sunday morning, but today we were mad at each other. So later, I felt bad that our day had been ruined by the fighting, so I washed her car. That's a high value thing for her, and I just did it to be nice, to offer a fig leaf, to bleed off some of that animosity. I was kind of shocked. When she got home she really went out of her way to shit on me and crucify me.
She made some comments here in this video that hit home with me. It did feel I'd done some dirty deed to her, and rather than appeasing her, she was even more angry and resentful. She accused me of only doing it to get something from her, a haircut. Like I was a selfish bastard for washing her car. Yeah, that would have been nice. I did something for you. You felt better about me, and you reciprocated. We both felt better. A haircut would have been nice. Both of us feeling better about each other could have been priceless. Not her. I was a dirty bastard moreso than when I started. It did feel like she felt attacked. It was a very weird and revealing situation that's been repeated many times since.
When the critical starts, I did this in platonic stage, I was very attracted to her both mentally & physically right up the the bizzar comment, .me : Ioiked over .y shoulder in disbelief, she watching my facial expression with smirk if contempt as her few words stunned me, I thought, adjusted my brain and said, " who gave you permission to talk to me like that" be demeanor changed instantly..I looked at my wrist, I don't wear a watch, and said " I gotta go " txtd me in few weeks like nada happened..I txtd back " I have company" I didn't..EnnnDo

People in the world do not belive in God. That's why there are so many cases of verbal, mental and phisical abuse in all kinds of relationships. There are no coincidences. People do not love the ways of God and they fall for the traps of the devil. Repentance is necessary and faith in Jesus to overcome all evil abusing traumas from the past and all evildoers in your life.
