I remember this story arc appearing in the x-men animated series back in the 1990s, I also know that both terminator and the cell saga from dragon ball z has taken inspiration from this story arc with a horrible future event and time traveling.
I recently met Chris Claremont at Planet-Con 2024 the 25th anniversary in Kansas earlier this month. I had him sign both my copies of Days of Future Past, since I have part one and two and no there not reprints they are actually copies in good condition. I was able to talk to Chris for 10 minutes and we discussed X-Men especially my favorite Nightcrawler. Chris was a nice guy and really polite, an Excellent dude I must say.
That's awesome. Glad he made time for you and you got to have a chat to probe his mind a little :)
Ah. One of my favorite X-Men stories of all time. So iconic and influential. And yes, the film version of the story, Days of Future Past is one if not the best of all the X-Men films.
Xavier of mutants, All Fear the sentinels
Of future war🔥🔥🔥❤❤🤟😍
This X-men comic was the epic in 1981.
I want to see the x men in the mcu
Your right this is one of the best X Men comic story and also the story featured the Sentinels which I think it's cool and the movie was good
This was the comic that made the Sentinels one favorite villains in Marvel comics. Now the MCU has the rights for the mutants, I think the Sentinels could work great as the villains in the 1st film of the X-men in the MCU ( Magneto and the Brotherhood or Mr Sinister in the 2nd and Ord and Breakworld in the third movie).
Heavy story, indeed!
While I enjoy the comic, I think the novel adaptation by Alex Irvine is much better. Not only the future version of Magneto has a much bigger role in the battle against the Sentinels but, unlike the comic in which Kate possess Kitty's body, in Irvine version they switch bodies, raising the stakes even more by not only having Kate working with the x-men in the past to stop the brotherhood but also by having Kitty in Kate's body trying to survive in the dark dystopia future.
Another infamous genocide you forgot to mention in this review is the Tlatelolco Massacre of 1968 in my country: Mexico.
Honestly, there have been so many around the world...its upsetting. If I listed them all, I'd be here all day...
