Riverside are quite new to me, but such an amazing discovery. Me and my wife will see them live for the first time in Stockholm end of April. So looking forward to that.
I came across Riverside 2-3 yrs ago and am in awe or their music. It is absolutely prog with a modern take on the genre. When I listen to prog I usually revert to the 70s classics, Riverside have changed that for me, I want to know more of their music, I now actively listen rather than have the classics playing in the background. Good choice Nathan.
I enjoyed that, even with the heavy part. But, I have a difficult time with metal, so I wouldn't call it that. I'm not a fan of grunge, but, coincidence alert with the album behind Jana, I do like Pearl Jam's "Jeremy," and I think in the part Jana heard Nirvana, I heard Pearl Jam. A type of prog grunge I could listen to.
To someone who suffers with ADHD this track and the whole album is how we feel most of the time. False starts and false ends, repetition, strange beats, screams, melancholy , repetition etc…this whole album is a listen through as one LP. Also thinking we are funny lol
This is there best album ever. Here is funny thing why I am so drawn this album as in my top albums of all times from spiritual standpoint. The album is 44 mins and 44 seconds it is there 4th album. I am born on 4 month on 15th day in year 84. Subtract the numbers of my date and year you get 444.
