There is so much depth to Riverside to check out, but since you asked, Lunatic Soul is the solo project of Mariusz Duda that you should check out if you want a more orchestral sound. I recommend A Thousand Shards of Heaven.
Riverside are so sophisticated in their sound , eschewing flurries of notes and technical passages ( at least obvious ones) in favor of melody, structure, and storytelling. I find their music often cinematic , in the best sense . No surprise as Vangelis is among their influences.
Oh boy YES! This has got to be one of my favorite bands. Too bad they lost their guitarist a few years ago - his sound and tone were just so emotional ..
I know you've done Porcupine Tree, and their discography is vast and impressive, but I'd love you to see some of Steven Wilson's solo stuff. Luminol and Routine are amazing, as people have mentioned previously, but I am also partial to 3 years older, Happy returns (especially the live version), Drive Home, Refuge, and Song of Unborn, just to name a few. ^^
I think the studio version of this song sounds a little better than the live versions available. Don't get me wrong this is a great song live but there aren't many good quality recordings. The ones that are good quality are pretty old and they have become a lot better performing this song live.
I love Riverside! So many songs to listen to. For recent stuff I really like Wasteland. The new album Id.entity is great too, but I haven't had time to properly "digest" it yet.
Thrilled to see you back with Riverside. ❤ Mariusz Duda (Composer/Vocalist/Bass player) posted on Facebook a couple days ago they've completed the new album, so are now going back on tour. I'm really looking forward to the album release.
Tracks you did so far are one of the best. Actually they're music should be consumed in album form. You might try first track from debut album called The same river. Btw their first three albums were connected in one concept of Reality dream trilogy. I discovered Riverside from their first demo, just before they debut in 2004.
This song is an absolute masterpiece for any genre. Awesome!
Second Life Syndrome is a brilliant track from a brilliant album by a brilliant band.
Watch the live version on the Reality Dream video. They are awesome to watch live!

My favourite progressive rock band!!! Music from soul

Yeah, I miss Piotr's touch as well. Very, very good guitarist. Such a tragedy.
True, but the new guy is very good, too.
Riverside are just perfect....Fates Warning - Still Remains , Pain of Salvation - Perfect Element

Too bad you didn't do the live version. To watch them is a real treat!

More Riverside please! Perhaps Egoist Hedonist, Panic Room, or Conceiving You

I'm really looking forward to the album release.
He has also said the new offering will be,stylistically like Anno Domini High Definition....that's gotten me excited! Haha
@@JWilks-lk7th That's great to hear. I love that album (EP), and it's at the top of my Riverside playlist.
Yes sir 🎶👍The depth of self delusion/ Lament/ Left Out .... few more to check out dude ❤
Side Project suggestion. Lunatic Soul , Dudas solo project. Crumbling teeth and the owl eyes is a nice one to set you down that hole.
@@JWilks-lk7th Yes.
Suggestion:
Lunatic Soul (Mariusz Duda/Riverside) side project) 👇
The Passage, or
Cold.
I'm late to the party, but yes Lunatic Soul is a must-hear. And I would add 'The Final Truth' to that list ;-)
Check out the prog band from Australia Karnivool the song Deadman! You'll have another band you will love!!
Polish people are so talented
Adorable song.
Great stuff. Enjoying taking this journey with you. Would love you to take a look at Mastodon - Jaguar God.
This reminds me so much of Pink Floyd.
It doesn't remind me of Pink Floyd - at all.

Far better song than the first one you did.
Escalator shrine is great too
You don't have to shout
