I’m 70 (in two months) and I rode Big Bear on Tuesday morning 5/10. I was on the front row. It was AWESOME! Very very smooth and the launches were great too. I think it is way better than Fire Chaser. Highly recommend.
So well done….polished, professional, & thorough, concisely giving us what we need to know….a refreshing change from some of the unresearched rambling we have gotten elsewhere from those who see themselves as a celebrity that everyone just cannot wait to hear🙄….you folks are like a breath of fresh air!!
I have just found making video guides as a great outlet for me since I can no longer help people as a firefighter/paramedic anymore. God has blessed our efforts and unfortunately it has come with haters towards us throwing out lies that we are "buying fake views & subscribers" which we have never done. We will just continue to ignore the lies & slander of other vloggers and just do our best to work at it with all our heart, as working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23). We appreciate your support Moose Man!
We absolutely love this Blessed place called the Smokies, come here several times a year, & are here now coincidentally, but we cannot move here so we visit here virtually through you….we have chosen you to take us here virtually because WE KNOW YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE, while some are not! As good hearted people of Faith we found out the hard way that some are very much NOT they clever facade they portray themselves to be; probably the same ones spreading those lies about you because their sloth & deceit has them reaping what they have sown. I will leave them to the Lord, you know him, the only sinless man to walk this earth who had haters who manufactured lies to persecute Him….You stand in His Truth, I am sure of it, so I believe you stand in good company!☺️. “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ( John 16:33 ). So take heart! By the way, a name you might recognize, Vivian, is my wife of 47 years🙏🏻. We hope to meet you one day. Hang in there, standing on the foundation of God’s Truth is a powerful thing many do not understand✝️. But you do!🙏🏻☺️
looking forward to riding it Friday going to try and sneak in a 2nd ride before close. The fact that my 4 year old nephew is tall enough to ride it now is going to be fun.
I can't wait to ride it sometime. I love coasters. This bidro was very informative and helpful as always. All of your videos are alwsys so well done are are always full of very helpful information. An excellent help for people to know if this ride is gor them. My favorite place to ride most coasters are either in the back seat for air time and being jerked around and the very front seat for getting the force of the wind in your face. I love the front seat on tbe lighting rod, mystery Mine the wild eagle. Well done Ryan!!
I am a visual learner. I can no longer help people as a firefighter/paramedic, so this trying to make a clear & helpful guide video is a great outlet for me! Thanks SMM!
Cant wait to ride!! Looks awesome..great info. We won't make it until June but we will be rradu to ride a bunch of times then in every row we can and get a feel! Cant wait to hear your thoughts!
I am definitely riding this new coaster on our next trip to Dollywood. I don't mind coasters that do inversions but a coaster like this is great. The Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia does not go upside down, but it is a lot higher than 66 feet. Yeah we will be riding this one next trip. They got this thing built and the landscaping done rather quick. I think Dollywood could teach Disney a few things when it comes to building new rides. LOL!
@@AdventureIsOutThere That is awesome bro. Hopefully when we are able to come up, probably next year, we can hook up, meet in person and ride it together. Two brothers in Christ. That would be cool.
I was just trying to get a better feel for the ride yesterday and decide if I am going to try. The only roller coaster at Dollywood I have done is Whistle Punk Chaser. I don't have issues with speed or height, but feeling trapped has been difficult for me since being diagnosed with PTSD as a firefighter/paramedic. Talking with Eugene (the president of DW) yesterday he was encouraging me to give it a try and after watching it a number of times I will possibly give it a try on THU or FRI. Everyone I talked to said it was very smooth and they all really liked it!
Hey Ryan, thanks for another amazing video!!! I had mentioned before that I was coming May 18-24 and you recommended the best day for Dollywood would be the 19th. We are now arriving on the 17th, would the 18th be the better day to do Dollywood? Or do you still recommend the Friday? Also is Sunday or Monday better for Anakeesta? Thanks again for all your help! You have the MOST informative Smokies Channel!🌄 We so appreciate you and Brie.♥️
Happy to help Shan O! If I had the option between the 18th & 19th, I might pick the 18th (Thursday). There is a free Music/BBQ festival in downtown Sevierville the 19th & 20th. Feel free to ask any questions on any video, we are always happy to do our best to help!
I typically like to ride in the rear. First you don’t see what’s coming so it’s more exciting. Second the ride seems faster. Guess I will have to test out my theory on my next visit.
I have noticed a difference in the ride experience when I have been on 7 dwarfs mine train at Disney's Magic Kingdom between the front & the back. I'll see if I muster up the courage to ride both the front & the back of Big Bear Mountain at Dollywood!
It's been neat to see Big Bear Mountain come to life at Dollywood from when it was just concept art. They have done a great job as everyone getting off the ride had huge smiles!
The entire way up to the coaster is nothing but a ramp, there is no steps. So I assume it is ADA compliant and someone that can transfer is able to ride. The Dollywood hosts that handle the disability access center could give better detail on how they are handling this ride.
There is not one yet. It is similar to the Fire Chaser Express roller coaster there. If one can fit in that seat, they should be fine on Big Bear Mountain.
I'm a bigger person, fat, not tall, and on most lap bar rides I can pull the lap bar down as I'm sitting to get it in the right position. Can I do that on this coaster or do I have to sit down first?
I think you can pull the lap bar down as you're sitting. The sample seat was not out yet, but I assume there will be one soon. I mentioned if you an do Fire Chaser Express at Dollywood, you should be able to do this one. I hope this helps & you are able to enjoy it Anthony!
Do you (or anyone for that matter) know if they will run two trains or will it be like dragonflier with only one train? I've watched plenty of youtube videos about big bear but haven't come across anyone with that info.
Typically, the back seat of a coaster will give you more air time and a more thrilling ride. The front is fun cuz there's nobody in front of you, just you and the track. I think it's going to be a while before I get on this one. I'll need to decrease my stature. 😉 Hopefully, next year!
In my experience mid train on firechasr express mid right side of train is best for the camelback hill never get any airtime in the back I guess I don’t get it
@@keyman6689 not necessarily Milenium force has a long train it’s similar MF mid train right side has best floater on big camel back it’s like the train is floating waiting on the back to catch up
If it’s anything like firechaser express I like mid train for floater airtime as that’s what I love and FCE is best mid train for camel back I don’t really get people saying the back is best but I guess people are different
@@kevinthompson6986 Indeed as we mentioned taking a hard right for the ride when you enter the park as it will be very popular once it is first open for some time!
Will they ever get a tester seat? I really would hate to be embarrassed standing in a line then not being able to fit on the ride. I wish they thought about bigger people.
I think there will be one out front soon Lisa like they do for the other coasters in Dollywood. I tried to get as clear shots of the seats as I could so people could at least virtually see in the meantime.
I didn't actually ride it, I was still wanting to just to check it out as the only coaster I have been brave enough to get on so far at Dollywood is the little Whistle Punk Chaser. I'll post up footage of Dolly opening up Big Bear Mountain later on Friday/Saturday!
@@AdventureIsOutThere You should maybe first do dragonflier, then this one. My 80 year old Mom rode that one. Loved it, and found the video replay terrifying! Smooth is a great way to ride!
Can you just give a weight restriction for the ride? I’m so over people being sensitive about this! If you are 250, don’t get on it and be embarrassed. How simple can we get?
There is no weight restriction for this ride listed. If you can fit in the seat you are good go. Try the test seat for fire chaser express. If you can sit in that one, this one is very similar.
Has anyone tall been to Dollywood and had trouble fitting on the rides? My boyfriend is 6'4" and is afraid he's too tall for a lot of the roller coasters. I know the narrator of this video said he's 6'1" and felt like he had plenty of space. Just don't want to waste our money if he can't fit.
