While I was Bible studying this week, I broke down in tears because I felt like I wasn’t 100% obedient. I really thought I was a godly woman because I was giving God portions of me while still be in the world living my life. I realized at that moment that I had to truly surrender to him. I have been fasting and isolating myself since. For this week podcast to be about this is the confirmation I needed. There is no coincidence.
To God be the glory, He is speaking to a lot of us through this message sis... It's been on replay cs I know I am not where God wants me to be.

You basically shared what many of us who read this comment are going through. Trust me you’re not alone!
Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.

It was so many gems 💎 throughout this episode I literally didn’t want it to end. So often we give God contributions but not the full sacrifice… God isn’t looking to be a house guest he’s looking to have permanent residency in our lives….The example of the airbnb was even spot on!!!! Are we letting him in??? There’s a difference between a Savior or Lord??? As our Lord he has dominion, he says, he’s in control,consider him above everything. As our Savior we let him in enough to recognize him as such. All I can say is God is doing real work within you Megan I pray he continues to use and protect you and your family and friends during your journey.. Love you Missionary Megan 🛖🫂❤️🙏🏽

My God, Megan! Megaaaaann! you've spoken something that couldn't have come through to me any other way bc tbh... idk anyone irl who loves God the way I love God. He couldn't even deliver this message to me thru any of the ppl I see in this foreign environment. And only God knows that I've been meditating on His Word and on His ways and just waiting for His guidance... and it's been about housing mostly 😭 I'm in tears as I type this bc for you to come through with such a *specific* analogy is just... UGH 😩 there are no words for God's majesty. And I'm so thankful for your obedience, Megan, bc no one else even talks like this where I'm at.. and idk if I would be spiritually strong (as I sit in this pressure cooker) to be able to come to that relevation on my own right now.
Thank YOU for what *seemed like* sacrifices, that you had to make to be OBEDIENT. I know none of it was easy bc I'm still in the process of being pruned and plucked (getting rid of nouns who aren't in alignment with COMPLETE submission). I thank God for your life, beautiful powerful disciple. 💛

The deeper we surrender, the more of His love and heart towards us we experience. You are far from what you describe yourself to be, I believe he planted a deep desire in your heart to draw near to him as He waits with open arms🥰🤍

Confirmation for me too! Thank you for sharing! I said this month is the month that I rest in obscurity and spend time with God with no distractions. I have been staying to myself and studying day and night. My pastor says we pray Early, Often and About Everything. So that is what I have been doing BEING STILL! And seeking God 1st in all things My heart(feelings), and My mind(Thoughts) and I have been focused on being OBEDIENT IN EVERYTHING. It is definitely a struggle sometimes but it’s ok because I am made more aware of what I need to work on. I could go in and on! Listened to this twice already... This was some needed real talk. EVERYDAY YOU SAY SIS... This episode spoke to me so much, there've been many cases where I took the reigns from God over my life and decided to do it my own way because I felt like God was not answering me as I wanted or that the things I asked of him were not a priority to him. That he answered everyone else's prayer but mine, it's not been an easy journey but I am trying to go back to a place where he mattered to me more than everything else.

It is hard to release all you to God because of fear of losing a relationship or giving up the things you like But, I think God is calling me to get closer to him and give him all of me. Thank you for sharing !
Hey I was once were you where, I held back from putting both feet In and waiting because of the things I’ll no longer have. But the moment I fully gave my life to God it changed for the better. I have been blessed and have love and peace from the one true living God. Despite what I no longer do and who I’m around. To have God is to have everything. He’s faithful and the love and peace he’s waiting to give you is right there on the other side. I hope this helps. He loves you and he’s waiting. 🤍

Thank you for your obedience. I have been considering getting re-baptized the next time they have it at church and came up with reasons as to why not since I didn't feel ready to turn my entire life over to The Lord. This episode convicted me in several ways and I was in tears driving my kids to day care. Walking forward and surrendering to The Lord is of course scary but this episode (and honestly this whole podcast) has been integral in my walk with Christ and my faith has been growing stronger weekly and daily. As someone who was raised in the church- left the church at 18 to search for God- and is now earnestly seeking and hungering after The Lord in my 30s, I'm glad to have found this podcast when I did.

Curious, what does it look like to give the lord access?
It may look like discussing everything with God and praying about everything to God; nothing is off-limits to God. Can you think of an area in your life that you don't pray about, or when you need to decide, you don't pray or ask God for help? You lean on your understanding. You pray for a spouse, but you don't pray about your business. God wants access to your love life, business, school, children, etc. He wants all of you. I hope this helps❤
