I must say these kids are more adventurous with food than most kids their age I've known. Usually in my experience once a kid has hits a certain age it's damn near impossible to get them to try anything new and unusual.

3:55 I'm from Bicol, the region in the Philippines that's known for the dish. The leaves in the picture are NOT taro (Colocasia esculenta) but any of the different but still related aroid plants called Alocasia. I understand their reaction when they tasted the dish. You have to acquire the taste to appreciate it. Thanks for featuring my region's leaf. It's one of the most important symbols of our region.
