Is it possible to foam your roof and use one of those foil barriers on the walls?
From what I’ve read all these barriers need a air gap between the material and the metal wall for it to work properly. With the metal posts, there is about 2.5” between siding and where the barrier would be.
What happens where the wall and ceiling foam meet? If the barrier needs to be sealed 100%, where does the heat escape to once it meets the foam on the roof?

The air space can either be "dead" or "vented" Usually the ribbing provides some venting. Vented is best, dead or sealed airspaces still work great. This page may help: bluetexinsulation.com/pages/existing-construction-metal-framed-buildings-installation

Is it effective if there is only 1/2 inch air gap (air circulation) between Atticfoil and metal roof?
What is the minimum distance that needed between roof and radiant barrier?
    Thank you.

Yes, even a 1/4" or 1/8" space works well. Especially with a "vented" airspace. Where the distance really matters more is when there is a "dead" airspace. The dead air can heat up and transfer more heat by conduction than if it is ventilated.

For residential applications all you need is www.AtticFoil.com It's a much lower option compared to the BlueTex products when all you want to do is reflect heat.
